I wonder where the people who wrote the skit got the idea that detectives a) interview suspects through the jail cell bars rather than in an interview room, and b) detectives provide legal advise to suspects while interviewing them. That's not how it works...at all...and the skit irritates me because of it.
To be fair, the "Detectives making deals with suspects for information" thing happens quite a lot in crime shows. I'm not sure if they do that in real life, but I've seen it alot in tv

Real talk, disabled people should be allowed to indulge in sexual activities. Granted yes some people would need a little more protection from those who would wish to take advantage of them, but most everyone gets desires and feelings so why not. I love the part where the police officer just spawns into their house with no warrant or probable cause and arrests a man for finally getting laid. Peak cinema.
ok real talk i’ve scared away more than one sexual partner by making too many jokes about my autism as a cope because i have NO IDEA what the average NT person thinks autism actually is and if i just mention it and don’t follow it up with a joke, i get worried they’re going to think i can’t consent or something???? but 10 times out of 10 the joke makes them feel weirder than me just being factually autistic
the joke isn’t really meant to make me seem more cognizant as much as it’s a way to regulate my anxiety over the uncertainty of what they think my capacities are
You can try being sincere and giving them the time to process it, rather than going right to a joke. Or if it's the first time mentioning it, you can add "[it's difficult/it's embarrassing/it makes me anxious] to bring it up, I never know how people will react." If they already think you're funny, you can joke about it as much as you would about any other part of your life.
I agree with the comment above me, maybe you're just saying it too early in the relationship for it to come across as a joke and not like oddly low self esteem? It probably comes off similar to a depression joke with a stranger, just a little too much for the time being. Though honestly if they leave you just for that they probably suck anyway lol Edit: also, as a trans guy myself, you dont have to keep apologizing for your "condition". Dont drink the cis/NT koolaid, you're not a walking warning sign
They're constantly portraying her as not being able to think for herself but at the end the police officer said Steven didn't take advantage of her which would mean she CAN think for herself so which one do they think it is? Also, if she "couldn't think for herself" then she wouldn't be alone at a party, someone would be taking care of her.

I don’t know what they were trying to attempt with this skit, but it was neither funny, intelligent, nor intriguing. If this was supposed to be satirical, they failed in every way. I seriously do not know what they were going for. One could argue that comedy is subjective and I agree, but there is nothing here. There are no funny one-liners, no comic relief after some intense dramatic scene,no lessons learned, no double entendre’s and no bow to any current events or movies. I hate to be mean to 5-year-olds but this feels like a five-year-old wrote a script, and then adults played it out verbatim and did nothing to make it funny. In fact if a child had written the story it would have been bound to be. Oh bro, idk how channels like the one that made this skit survive let alone thrive. It’s actually scary that anyone could find it watchable let alone enjoyable. It’s so off and cringe that it gives me the icks. This skit is a lesson on how not to make a skit.

YES! I only use a wheelchair part-time, like for long trips and such (I sometimes pass out/get vertigo, and get joint pain and muscle weakness so mobility aids have been helpful). I'd be so mad if someone just grabbed my wheelchair.
Bro im hella autistic. If everyone who had sex with me became a sex offender, that would be wild af
Oh no you see having sex with someone who's severely autistic and high needs is basically like messing with a child...-Some neurtypicals for some reason
If two autistic people have sex, are they both sex offenders? Or is the one who’s better at eye contact the one who should be prosecuted?

Listen I'm no expert on consent, only the two parties can be sure for themselves. But that girl seemed like she was stimming cuz she was happy, excited and a bit nervous then she seemed to understand when he said "are you ready" (which is wild because I didn't personally, that was not clear) and leaned in for the kiss so she knew that was gonna happen.
If the only reason they think she didn't consent because she's autistic that's so fucking insane lmao. Guess we can never have sex ever. Can't believe my autistic boyfriend and I have both been taking advantage of each other all this time...??!!
There were really no hints in this situation that she wasn't consenting despite the guy being overtly creepy from the start. Like she has really questionable taste in men but that seems like just it.
Carly is so real for pushing the time travel button tho. NGL I probably would have too.

I wonder where the people who wrote the skit got the idea that detectives a) interview suspects through the jail cell bars rather than in an interview room, and b) detectives provide legal advise to suspects while interviewing them. That's not how it works...at all...and the skit irritates me because of it.
Its also irritating that this guys criminal history would presumably be printed out on his resume? Yes, like all criminals do.
To be fair, the "Detectives making deals with suspects for information" thing happens quite a lot in crime shows. I'm not sure if they do that in real life, but I've seen it alot in tv
I think what a lot of outsiders miss when seeing the channel for the first time is that tomorrow’s teachings was always satire, and there was never a point where it was actually trying to teach anything,
@@skellboI mean to be fair the way the character is he probably disclosed his criminal history when asked so it would be readily available information on the job application

Is no one gonna point out they put her in a wheelchair? And then just had her in an upstairs room? Autism can sometimes come along with dyspraxia but even then usually you don’t need a wheelchair for it 😂😂😂 and why would she be in her chair upstairs? Wouldn’t it make more sense for her room to be downstairs? So she could… use her chair that she needs apparently?
Im gonna assume its because she has another disability on top of her autism just for realism sake since autism can come with other co-morbidities (I think their called)
But I have no justification for why or how she's upstairs in the corner
The answer is obvious. Autistic people can fly, and so she flew up there in the wheelchair. Only solution.
This video was so confusing and offensive... But to be fair, I am autistic and can't think for myself. So what do I know

I just briefly checked out the Tomorrow's Teachings channel and there's ANOTHER video from six months ago where an autistic person is wheelchair bound. People commenting on it were saying that the character's condition more closely resembled cerebral palsy than it did autism. Do people really not know the difference between the two?

Carly's interaction was the reason women prefer the bear.
As an autistic person, I can confirm that I can't think for myself. This is because we can only think for Autism, our divine creator. One day, Autism decided to create us as physical manifestations of itself. We autistic people are all a hivemind. All my thoughts are to help Autism, not myself. Our goal is to spread the good word of Autism. Hope that helps! :)
I too am part of the hivemind. we must recruit new members via vaccines, then we can have world domination
Praise be to Autism!
i was annoyed and disgusted and then... he brought her to a literal dungeon. With bones everywhere and manacles. Like... the way I ugly voice cracking laughed at that, it was so fcking stupid
side note: it feels like they tried to re-write the story of an actual serial killer, Gary Heidnik. Real talk, disabled people should be allowed to indulge in sexual activities. Granted yes some people would need a little more protection from those who would wish to take advantage of them, but most everyone gets desires and feelings so why not.
A lot of abled people tend to infantilise and diminish the wants/needs of disabled people
in this she is depicted as having a mind similar to a child’s (the acting sucks obviously) but i genuinely don’t understand how it’s okay to sleep with someone with that?
@@bella-fp7vy disabled people have needs and are entitled to them. Like I said before, some protections are in order depending on how high the support needs are
I wouldn't say this is a very accurate description of any disability
I love the part where the police officer just spawns into their house with no warrant or probable cause and arrests a man for finally getting laid.
Peak cinema.
I'm autistic and it genuinely demoralizes me that some people genuinely think of me in a way similar to this.
ok real talk i’ve scared away more than one sexual partner by making too many jokes about my autism as a cope because i have NO IDEA what the average NT person thinks autism actually is and if i just mention it and don’t follow it up with a joke, i get worried they’re going to think i can’t consent or something???? but 10 times out of 10 the joke makes them feel weirder than me just being factually autistic
the joke isn’t really meant to make me seem more cognizant as much as it’s a way to regulate my anxiety over the uncertainty of what they think my capacities are
You can try being sincere and giving them the time to process it, rather than going right to a joke. Or if it's the first time mentioning it, you can add "[it's difficult/it's embarrassing/it makes me anxious] to bring it up, I never know how people will react."
If they already think you're funny, you can joke about it as much as you would about any other part of your life.
I agree with the comment above me, maybe you're just saying it too early in the relationship for it to come across as a joke and not like oddly low self esteem? It probably comes off similar to a depression joke with a stranger, just a little too much for the time being. Though honestly if they leave you just for that they probably suck anyway lol
Edit: also, as a trans guy myself, you dont have to keep apologizing for your "condition". Dont drink the cis/NT koolaid, you're not a walking warning sign

We all learned a valuable lesson: Be better writers
