When I was 16 in 1974 I double dated with my buddy and we took our girls to see Olivia at a dinner theatre near San Francisco. It had a round stage with the audience all around sitting at small dinner tables. She began singing I Honestly Love You and came down off the stage and knelt down next to me and sang the song to me. It was good for the performance but for me next to all that brilliant blond beauty ... well since then even to now I'm very partial to blond girls. Do you blame me?
This song graced the airwaves during the late Summer and Fall of 1974. I relish the sweet memories of being 18 then and hooked on Olivia’s music. Now I mourn for what once was but is no more. Eternal joy and Peace sweet lady…
I love that woman! Since I was 4 years old. I'm 42 now. I glow in her voice. She is so genuine! I always dreamed of seeing her live. When I was old enough to go to one of her concerts, and she started performing live after having Chloe, it seemed that whenever she was here I was there :( I finally got to see her live in 2003- a show I will never forget, at the Sydney Entertainment Centre, and Chloe was there and performed. I had scrap books of all of Livvy's stuff from the 80's - the marriage, the birth and development of Chloe's life and the break up with Matt Latanzi (the idiot). My lovely , older daughter performed this song in public at the tender age of 10 1/2......She sounded like a grown woman, perfect pitch and all. It helped that she was blonde and blue-eyed like Olivia....She became a professional at 15, here in Indiana. By the time that she graduated high school, she decided to put singing career on hold and go to college. Well, my songbird became a chemist a wife, and mother of two. She has been singing to her children for 11 yrs.and her voice has matured along with herself as a person. I think OLIVIA for inspiring my girl.... That night, as she sang to a hushed audience, my heart was pounding and tears were flooding ....... Now , her daughter is singing in a non-school related chorus, keeping the music flowing. Thank you all for allowing me to put my memories on this site. This video brought that momen t to the present and I was just as moved.....

@Raceresq1 OMG! This concert is a perfect example of the way they used to do it old school style! Real singing with no autotune, lip syncing, or crude language like what todays music has become. Just a 100% beautiful woman singing with real emotion. I would have melted into a puddle of liquid LOVE right there on the spot! You could'a wiped me out of my seat at that point because I'd already be in heaven in her eyes!

I think she and her band were at the top of their game at this concert, sounding even better than in her records. This concert and song was and remains my favorite performance of hers. Tom Scott's sax made it all the more special.
