1966: I'm 14 years old, passing through puberty, getting interested in girls but very shy. Then I heard Dusty singing You Don't Have To say You Love me on the radio. Wow - I was totally awestruck and in love! The first 45 I ever bought. 1981: I'm 29 years old, married (still am to the same lovely girl), and starting to go deaf. I still listen to Dusty singing this, but not as often as I'd like to. 1999: 47 years old. I'm hard of hearing now, but when I heard of Dusty's death I went searching for my beloved 45. It's gone as has a lot of my music collection because of my deafness. 2006: 54 years old and very hard of hearing. I find a book and 4 CD collection named "Simply ... Dusty". I buy it like a shot. The old magic is still there, although the volume I need to listen to it properly gives me a headache. I listen to it as often as I can. 2020: 68 years old and hearing loss is severe. I stumble across this in You tube. I'm normally very dodgy about trying to listen to 40 year old clips - the quality is usually so poor and the volume so low it's impossible for me to understand. I give it a go anyway - and suddenly I'm back in 1966 - all the old magic is still there! I'll love you forever Dusty :-)

I lived in Africa and my dad loved Dusty. Now I'm 62 and my dad has passed many many years ago and I stumbled on Dusty. Brings back memories.
What a powerful voice! What a beautiful song! Dusty Springfield left us too soon. She is dearly missed❤️😢
I DON'T THINK SHE KNEW HOW FABULOUS HER VOICE REALLY WAS BUT WE ALL DID. SHE WAS INCOMPARABLE, TO SAY IT LIGHTLY...
What makes me laugh is today’s artists who are described as amazing ...go figure??? When u look at how effortless Dusty is !
After all These years she still is the greatest i wish she was still around
Pure magic and more age is only number 71❤ crying sorry 😞 o happy memories rest in piece my darling ❤️ ♥️ 😘 💜
Never ever will there be music like this again
Hello Barbara, how is things going with you?

Hello Paula, how is things going with you?
This is one of her best songs. She sings it with such feeling!
I like too the version of ELVIS PRESLEY.
Airish in despair Not to God Back to Jesus Thanks to Father. Thanks Jesus . arman i.n.c. e.v.m.
She has always been a favorite singer of mine from early in her career .She was an epic entertainer.
Dusty Springfield is a beautiful singing soul. She was a lucky and beautiful pop star back in the early 60's. What a wonderful voice to hear. She sadly died in 1999 because of breast cancer. We lost a beautiful soul in our world. Dusty Springfield's history and music will live on!
R.I.P Dusty Springfield 💖
Tom jones
Can you imagine having the gift of a beautiful voice and performing in front of a sellout crowd and the people just love your performance, what a dream.
I'm way back in the 60,s for the duration of this song.
William Henry i think my parents had a 45 of this.
This song made me impressive. I liked listening this song while reclining in the bed in 80s. I listened so sad sad sad still be able to listen this song. Greetings from Indonesia.
We'll never forget you Dusty. Your voice makes us remember you every day
Dusty was the very best voice of the 60's and 70's....was soooo hard on herself that it hurt her in many ways....she continues to be the diva of her era.
Dusty! Amazing and so beautiful!
Dusty Springfield, great song, I love it, double thumbs up....
How beautiful... Everything on this piece. Voice, image, attitude... What she's wearing... Perfect in every detail.
What a voice. No one has matched that style yet. RIP Dusty. You were one in a million.
When did she pass?
Exellence was the norm for Dusty. Thank you for all the timeless memories, from my teen years. I was 17 years old when this was released in 1966. Life was great. An age of learning, experienceing all that was new. In a few short years I was sent a reality check and my life was changed forever. Be that as it may one thing that never changed and that were these great old tunes...Peace
I still love Dusty
Springfield and her
voice and songs.
She's death + - 20
years ago, but the
songs and through
feelings never dies.
Rest in peace Dusty
i respect your memory
🌹🌹🌹
What can I say - the most beautiful woman's voice that ever existed!!!!!
Duane Reed
Amazing soulful voice
Lulu too
It kind of takes you back through the mists of time to a kinder, gentler place that must never be forgotten.
Dusty Springfield was one of my favorites among the greatest female singers of all time❤️
Yes,I know that songs in the early 1960's on the jukebox that time .....great songs,,we used to play it and a sweet dance that year....!.❤😊😊😊
Dusty had the most beautiful and unique voice. I loved her.
Hello Dear, how is things going with you?
The singing voice of a generation...
I thought you said "gentelman" at first.... lol
I really love Dusty Springfield. The world lost so much and many don't even know it. She was so far ahead of her time. Thank god the Petshop boys knew it.
I will always love this song!!!!
Hello! How are you doing today! Please pardon me for intruding into your privacy but I just wanted to know if you're a fan!...Stay safe
Absolutely Magnificent!
How tragic that she died so young. I still get goose bumps when I hear this song. What a talent.
Christmas Day full of food and drink chilling out to one of the best female artists ever
I used to listen to Dusty I was quite young I think I was about maybe 17 I’m 75 now but well let me get back to 17 and she was one of my most favored. She had a voice that student my mind and she still sounds that way when I listen to her when she was older when she got older, there were other women that saying, but she is what’s on my mind now because I remember this memory I will never forget that the Springfield
I’ll never forget my childhood and the memories that I would have when when I hear her voice again, it’s like to escape to a time when and things were so much easier
Lord this lady could sing and I sort of had a crush on her back in the day. Such a natural and sultry voice that you do not hear today.
Perhaps some of our new age performers should take notice.
Today's girl singers often sound like 12 year olds. Hard to take them seriously.
The lady sings so effortlessly...Dusty had great voice control...even with out a mic she could belt out a song...You go girl!!!
so... she somehow gets through that idiotic introduction and then goes into the song. THEN she floors it. class act. we will never see her like again. the best white female soul singer ever!
I also think Annie Lennox has a truly unique vocal style too. Whenever she sings a song from her catalog it's never the same carbon copy of the original on the album
@@jimbecarroll5780 - Annie is up there too. So is the under rated Lisa Stansfield. I don't think Adele, Joss Stone, Duffy, or even Amy Winehouse had the UNIQUE talent and voice. They all sound great, but like someone else in 90s- 2000's form.
SO LONG AGO MY BEAUTIFUL DUSTY SPRINGF
AND VOICE AND SONG
Don't forget Elvis and his gospels just breathtaking
Her being ‘white’ has nothing to do with it. ‘The best white female soul singer’…no, just one of the greatest singers the world has ever seen!
One of the all time great singers.
How could it get any better!!??,RIP DUSTY!.
RIP, great lady.
Dusty no one compares !!!!
so true
This recording was 15 years after she recorded it, still it sounded great. She always seemed to sing live cant really remember her miming, one of the greatest femail singers from the 60s /70s, and there was a few, didn't need to be half undressed to sell the records, but you always know when its her singing, such a unique voice.
LOVE HER SO MUCH❣️❣️❣️
HER VOICE GIVES ME GOOZE-
PIMPLES!❣️❣️❣️
THANK YOU SO MUCH FÖR THIS!!!❤️
