So what do you think/feel about Tech House as a genere? Honestly its cool seeing you mix like this. It seems more relatable to DJ's who club mix or mix on the radio. Interesting, in tech house the best drop is usually the last and its cool seeing you jusp to the last drop after the first verse. I have been thinking about doing this but i have not implemented it yet. Think im just nervous about leaping that close to the end of the track. 😅
It's a stylistic choice really! Also, it's better to keep the songs shorter on UA-cam due to copyright hehe

It's just not that kind of mixer! Rotary mixers, to my knowledge, were more widely in use in the early days of DJing, before turntablism really took hold. This is a tribute to the days of yore haha

This is awesome! I am new to mixing melodic techno and was looking to upgrade from my ddjflx4. Is this too advanced for someone who has only made a couple of mixes?
I'd say yes, but only because it's very different from the current mixer/controller layout. However, with melodic techno, this mixer should be perfect!

Maybe not *the* best overall, but in its field, for what it can do and what it brings to the table, I'd say it's one of the best modern rotary mixers out there!

There’s a big difference you can’t hear on this video. But as a dj for a long time you can 100 percent discern the difference

Not my thing, personally, but it's such a gorgeous mixer! For blends, and audiophile-level DJs, the Euphonia is king!
Awesome mix. But the only thing that kinda was bugging me out was that the they weren’t connected on channels 2/3, but instead 1/2. Good vibes anyways!🙏
I forgot why I had to do it like that. I prefer 2/3 myself, but the Euphonia isn't a normal mixer either haha

Plus, I started in February with the "The Next Beat SX1" which is a good controller but, it's very limited. You could tell just by looking at it.

i just downloaded rekordbox, my dj controller hercules impulse 500 isnt supporting it, only djuced (wich isnt that great). is there a way to connect it nonethless?
Unfortunately, Rekordbox is somewhat picky with controllers. The 500 works with Serato, VDJ, and a bunch of others, but it with RB
AlphaTheta mixer + cdjs = cost of brand new Lamborghini

I have a song that intro start before lyrics but no matter how much i edit change the Beat grid its still off the Bar.. the first lyric drop is in the middle before the 1st beat bar lyric.. so the first lyrics cut in half bit.. should i not use sync, even that the beat just feels off too
Sometimes the intro also sync in beat the first build up and drop, then the 2nd last build up and drop off the grid in the middle 😮
Sounds like you have a song recorded with live drums! You may wanna try using a different mixing technique to bring it in. Check my How To Mix To Anything video

Theyre extremely niche nowadays, but instead of faders, you use knobs to increase and decrease the volumes. Just like car stereos
is there a possibility to sort by bpm AND by key on rekordbox? i have a playlist for opening in a club fpr 1 hour and thats a mix of hipop and pop... I dont know how to do it
Unfortunately no. It's either by key or by BPM. Doing both might lead to a lot of weird conundrums. My best advice is to just keep it by BPM first and foremost, for the vibe, then look at key after where possible

Always asking the most intriguing questions Bobby! Love it! Well, this *could* be present in certain clubs, especially for those that specialize in certain genres that prioritize blends and sonics more than anything else. I know of only a couple of clubs in my home city that utilize rotary mixers, but they've got some high-class clientele. It does have its market, though uncommon, and it's a very nice callback to the rotary mixers made before the advent of faders.
@@djcarlo I’m love the mixer but pioneer has a habit of making mixers that clubs pass on because other DJs want to stick to the old 900🤷🏾♂️
It’s better to use the sound card of the euphonia than the cdjs sound quality is much better
Well, you'll really still need a mixer to get your music out there, and indeed, the Euphonia is amazing with its output quality!
@@djcarlo i had this mixer as much as possible i don’t add any just straight to my amp or powered speakers to maintain the output signal to its original source. But totally depends on the conditions if you play big events then yes you need to patch its output to another mixer. Very nice mix by the way ✌🏽

@@djcarlo I re-repeat the work of each DJ, but for me it's about playing with the Faders and the CrossFader, making cutting. the vast majority only make Mashups. I like to play, sample, cut tracks. The best definition of DJ (for me) is what the Spanish did, Toni Peret, Jose Castell, Quique Tejada, in the 80's -90's with megamixes, or what James Hype does, or what DJ's like you do in the DMC world.

@@djcarlounless alpha theta keeps releasing and innovating rotary knob mixers this just seems like a cash grab too me. It cost $1k more than an a9. It is marketed towards old head DJ's with money. Has some cool features but the mp3's you (I'm not directing this towards you just DJ's in general) bought off of the beat port soulful house chart aren't going to suddenly sound more soulful because you bought a $3.8k rotary mixer with weighted knobs and a cool energy visualizer. TLDR: they are marketing it like your sets will suddenly sound like frankie knuckles once you buy this overpriced mixer. Maybe i'm just naive though but that's my opinion. On a different note: I loved the brighter days remix you played.
