Good inspection. I would add an engine compression check by turning the prop (mags off) and feeling that both cylinders have equal and proper compression. My Rotax 447 wants 2 shots of primer and pulling the engine a few turns mixes and vaporizes the fuel for a 1 pull start. Also you should do a post flight check for hot bearings on the redrive and prop shaft. A failed rear prop shaft bearing put me down off field. (no damage but had to trailer it home) It showed clear signs of repeated over heating that would burned my hand in a post flight check.
I also like to check the main gear axle is unbent. Does the aircraft look straight and symmetrical? Give the wings a wobble. Look down the square tube for corrosion on the vertical bolt. Do check fuel, oil and coolant levels, fuel valve is on. Check motor mounts, exhaust safety wires, spark plugs, carbs and filters well seated. Especially check the prop for big leading edge dings and propagating cracks.
I did not know about the elevator check. I am sitting here with my plane and you posted this. I wonder what are the advantages of that prop spinner. Beautiful plane, glad we got to see every inch of her up close.
I'm curious about the BRS mount. Is that an extra tube that slides inside the root tube? Is that custom made or something you can order somewhere? My BRS is mounted under/behind the seat and it seems like that one might be a better way to do it, other than raising the COG a bit are there any downsides? Also thanks for the detailed pre-flight, it was extremely helpful. :)
Still wondering if I am a bit scared of heights if I can handle one of these. Hopefully the club in my area are friendly enough to help me make sure I will be ok with an ultralight before I buy one. I just have a desire to fly and don't know why. Going to be at least 7 months before I have all the funds saved up and I really hope this club I have found will be helpful.

Well done, colleague. a good pre-flight check proves the responsible pilot.
👍 thanks

That was cool, interesting stuff…

at 2:16 you can see 3 visible bolts that are upside down (plus 1 that's hidden from view and probably upside down also). Those should be flipped also.
Thanks
Thanks for the tour. That looks like a nice simple engine. What kind is it?

Prop spinner is just for looks, I believe.

Do you use fuel without ethanol?
Nice video but I'm still wondering what happened to YOUR plane?
🤔

@@jordonweets correct it is a buddy’s. Updates are coming 👍
To bad they don't make all of the bolts long enough to put a safety ring on them for extra security.
Now it's ready to go crowhopping hayfields...
