In my village way back in the 60`s were 2 witches/old healing ladies . Folk used to drop off grown produce to their doors . I had bad colic when I was 8 , was off school 10 weeks could not keep anything down , not even milk it came back up in a solid lump. I lost lots of weight . My Pa went to call on Isoline , she came and put a gathering of plants on my pillow and made me drink a honey type drink .. which I kept down . I was back in school the following week .

In March 1964 the film Witchcraft was released in UK cinemas (its on YT). The Welsh went easy on witches during the Middle Ages only hanging 5 in total, England hung about 500 & in Scotland it was over 3000. 🤣
Clearly a lot of people believe otherwise. If people state they are witches, it’s patronizing to insist it is not because we don’t define witchcraft that way nowadays.
@@tonicastel2390 These days it’s just another religion, Murdering harmless people because of Christian fanaticism is shameful, And obviously magic isn’t real.
As we patted ourselves on the back, prided ourselves with our so rational and logical ways, we started to mock and then actually harm these guardians of ancient knowledge. I'm no hippy, I'm an IT professional by trade and logical by nature, but we were so terrified these people would destroy the new logic and rationality that we destroyed old ways and knowledge instead of embracing it. What a blast from the past
Hawarden had a witches coven in the 1960s. A censer and candles and red robe were stolen from the church and the burned candle stubs brought back.
Hope they checked the eyebrows on the guy at 0:30 for signs of witchcraft.

I have too many suggestions, but I highly recommend Lord of Misrule, The Blood On Satan's Claw, Robin Redbreast, The Ritual, Apostle and Kill List.
