USA go crazy over the top with Halloween I love it .... then in the uk we stick a pumpkin on the porch and that’s about as far as Britain will go with fun decorating 😂 This set reminds me of 1600s Salem village
shaun180675 Every year it seems that Halloween gets bigger and bigger here in the states. I moved about 18 miles away from downtown Los Angeles in 2016. I’d never seen one of these AtmosFX window displays until my first Halloween out here. 🎃
I think we are getting bigger in the Uk. It’s just our houses are shitty and small. So can’t really do much with them 😂. I really do love Halloween. Great video bty Decorations are brilliant
very nice. Try this. the screen in the yard should have the hard edges broken up by tree, bushes or with dark cheesecloth to resemble webbing. Then bring it to ground level and put some smoke in front to blend the glow of the screen. Also for an eerie affect. try stringing or hiding small directional speakers at ear level to occasionally play simple whispering "hey" or similar sound to give your guests the feeling someone is behind them. This provides a nice "jump scare" when timed perfect. the key is to have the sound just frequent enough, but not too frequent as to make it obvious.
After the mum put the baby down it was like bugger that i,m off lol. i set up my house and front garden and a few mums have to come to the door cause the kids got to scared its brilliant. mine was very little to this but i loved doing it. i will send my video not nearly as close as this but made do with what i had. hats off to you.
I did something like you did last year and I did have kids that wouldn’t come up to the front door. This year I am adding a phantasms to my set up. Have you thought to add a lighting affects? If you want to put up some plastic stone sheets that a simple trick to do this. Glue on some canvas strip on the back, that smoothing I am working on this year.
Can you tell me what projector you used? I have a screened in porch/room that is about 8x15 ft and wanted to try this this Halloween. I suppose I'd need a short throw projector.
You seem to have run into the same issue I have. The large hollusion effect looks like a square block of something in the dark to which something is being projected onto it. I cannot make it disappear outside. I've tried backlighting it you can see the material which gives away the efffect.
81artmonk I use a silk mesh that I got off amazon. It’s practically invisible at night. It’s not as crisp of an image as a screen but it works amazing for hollusion effects. Here is the stuff I used. Craft And Party, 54" by 40 Yards (120 ft) Fabric Tulle Bolt for Wedding and Decoration (Silver) www.amazon.com/dp/B01NBY5ZUU/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_JHnUDbRZQANGW
For the outside what material did you use and how big of a screen? Also how did you set the projector up. At an angle or directly behind it? How far did you have to place it for that size projection? Working with limited space. Thanks so much
The screen was 5'x7' and rear projection material from Carl's. I believe the projector was 11 feet behind the screen. I assume you're talking about the outside screen??
Can you tell me what you are using for speakers for your props that are inside? Wondering if I could use Bluetooth speakers outside with the projector inside. Thanks.
Last year I had a setup with a projection onto the glass of my front storm door. I used a bluetooth transmitter and Jambox Big and it worked just fine within about 15 feet even with the door shut. The lag between dialogue and video wasn't noticeable unless you were looking for it, and most of the FX I used have kind of ambient noise instead of words anyway. Distances greater than 15 feet cause the bluetooth connection to get thin, so the audio tends to sputter. I also place about 6 bluetooth speakers (of various brands and quality) around the yard to play different sounds in different places (e.g. crows, owls, wolf howls, bats, church bell tolling all play at different times from 1 speaker I place up in a tree - the battery usually runs for 3-5 hours on 1 charge, so no electrical wires needed to be run up the tree). I was hoping to be able to control all the bluetooth speakers from one place using various devices to transmit the sounds, but the distance was just too far to get a good connection. 15 feet is probably a hard limit...depends on your devices. The workaround was just getting cheap-o mp3 players for about $10 each, loading the sounds onto those and putting them on loop w/ a 3.5mm male-to-male wire plugged directly into the Aux input of the bluetooth speakers (most have an Aux in). It actually created a very cool audio atmosphere experience without having to run a bunch of cable/wires everywhere. It was clean and easy to setup and take down (10 minutes including tree climbing time). Picking the right audio tracks was the most time consuming part.
OH and I forgot to mention the most important part - Bluetooth signal strength thins out EXTREMELY quickly outdoors. Somebody explained to me once that it relies a lot on reflection off of surfaces (sort of like a laser pointer...you can't really see it unless it's hitting something solid)...so losing the flat surface of walls means the signal doesn't spread out as much. I don't know if that's true as far as the reason why, but I know that it's true as far as bluetooth signal getting thin outdoors.
hi, seeing that you may have used diff projectors by now, which do you feel is the best quality, visually at night and best?? I want to buy one but would hate to buy a dud. I recently purchased the Window wonderland and looking at reviews Im afraid to open it lol!
How can you not like this? Maybe not super kid friendly but no blood or actual violence. Bravo.

This is OUTSTANDING...can you give some more detail as to the type of screening you used? i am probably going to a fabric store to get mine
I used "frost" colored shower curtains from WalMart
heyyyy scott what kind of projectors did you use for all of the window effects
What projector are you using for the screen that is by the smoke machine and do you have it set up outside behind the screen??
wow everything looked awesome

I bought the atmos fx projector but don't see where to plug in speakers...i see a port but it has a pic of headphones... can u advise what u did...
Roo maybe Bluetooth speakers wouod work
how did you find the files to put on your projector? I have the ones that were pre loaded but I really like yours.
Some of the scenes I edited in Adobe to synchronize them...
Can you tell me what you are using for speakers for your props that are inside? Wondering if I could use Bluetooth speakers outside with the projector inside. Thanks.
Each projector/DVD set had a set of computer speakers hooked to it ..the speakers sat on the ground just outside the windows.
Great! Thank you :)

I have computer speakers connected to the dvd players on the inside..speakers run outside windows.
Can't wait for halloween
hi, did you use shower curtains for the zombie projections?
Where any of the projectors damage by the fog smoke?
How many projector did you have
6 projectors..each with a set of computer speakers

Does the projecfor have to be positioned in front of the window or does it go behind the window and white fabric?
It goes behind the window. You can use a white translucent shower curtain.
That is awesome!
Lovely!
i luv Samhain
Do you have any rec's for some good speakers?
Jbl Bluetooth are great!
