The s22 had a pretty thermally compromised chip though in terms of battery life and throttling. If you can be patient and wait for the s23 price to drop a little bit I think it's definitely worth the upgrade. Another option is 1 + 12 r. It's cheaper than the a70 series anyways but has the proper 8g2. Although I don't know the pricing might be different if you get it when it's branded as the A3 in the global market I don't know about that
A51 user here 🙂 4g, have NFC, have 3.5mm jack, absolutely amazing phone ✓ I didn't knew it'll last that long and having amazing features I didn't even knew about I absolutely love it.. Wish it could get Android 14 one UI 6.1, I would give him new battery within next 10 months and it'll still probably be great phone as it is now...@@jaredfontaine2002
I bought my wife the A73 and only got it for US$145 about 3 months ago. I saw this on sale in a mobile phone shop where I am and after seeing the price, and knowing how good the phone is, it was a no brainer. All she cared about was a great looking screen and a camera she was fine with. The camera is actually pretty good even with the selfie cam. My wife loves the camera after coming from a lower end phone previously. All she cares about are her selfies and taking videos in 4k and this phone can do those perfectly fine.
It sounds like it really was the perfect phone for her! The camera honestly isn’t terrible, as long as your direct comparison isn’t a flagship like people automatically jump to
I'm not sure where you found such a great price at for the A73 but I've been looking everywhere for it. Scalpers on eBay are charging 500$ for it smh 🤦🏽♂️
A71 was the perfect phone for me. Thin, light, big screen was it for me Too bad I got it traded for the new A55 coz the battery is done zo 😭. Farewell,A71..
The A71 was perfect for me. The battery health after 4 years is 83%, and the phone works perfectly for me. The only current problem is that the SD card slot is not functioning and can't read any SD card (although I tried the SD card on other phones and worked properly) and that issue is important for me. Now I have to change my phone for only this reason. BTW I never cared about the plastic back or bezels as always keep my phone in a silicone cover and really appreciate a lighter phone over having a heavier phone with a glass back
I knew it !!! Samsung was deliberately dropping this range because they wanted to push the FAN EDITION crap because let's face it, other than the S20 FE, the whole line-up SUCKS !!! But what about M55/F55 today ? And Wade is wrong. I think the A55 has a 12 GB RAM option.
there are M55 and F55 series phones for some regions but they differ with charging speed and cpu (slower) rather than the battery size or camera. Simply not worth it over the A55. If you want something better its the S series that are too expensive or a different brand phone.
@@dakata17819132 and unfortunately I cannot resonate with your sentiments on processing speed. I personally bought A73 5G worth 30k INR (due to exchange offers + Samsung Shop discounts) and M33 5G worth 17k or 18k INR. Not only is the price difference HUGE, but the funny thing is that the useless, laggy Exynos 1280 chip is also used in A33 5G (my dad's phone which cost 27k). 1280 sucks in terms of gaming.
@@TechDaily Just a side note: The only issue I have encountered once was the charging port which needed a replacement. Otherwise, everything else was perfect.
watching this on my A70 , i couldnt feel anymore right than this , 5+years and still going strong.... the only point i see myself upgrading this is when it will stop working entirely😁 and next will definitely be a flagship
@@nanakojo8202 dang bud , I hope you get it fixed soon, nice device it is , btw many things have gone bad on my device too, down to my 3rd battery and 2md charging port , but yeah , still a nice device overall
I think the same happened to the A80 and A90. Both phones were solid alternatives to the S series while being way cheaper. The A80 had a premium build while also having full screen experience and better selfies due to the flip camera module. The A90 was powered by a flagship at time SD855 and it was considerably cheaper than the S10 and Note 10. It was also the only A series phone that came with Samsung DeX support.
I still have A52s 5G a 3 years old phone with a headphone jack and it is working just fine 🙂 hosting 3 different phones/sandboxes 😅 My main phone applications, work Mode with teams, outlook etc.. and secure folder aka my private space 😁 The phone is also powerful enough to run emulation for some retro games that I like. It makes descent images and videos I'm really happy that I got out of my comfort zone and switched from Apple to Samsung, I feel like the phone belongs to me and can do everything without jailbreaking or sideloading apps with an expansive dev account. But as long there is no good secure folder alternatives, I'll never leave Samsung
Thanks for the video. I had an A71 5G and it is still my favorite Samsung phone. It was 5G with a 64 mp main camera, a head phone jack, expandable storage, and a snapdragon 765 processor. The A73 only got better. The A7 series maxed out quality and value. Shamefully, the A73 was not released in the US market and is the last A7 series release. The A7 series was so good that it had to be discontinued. It was what the fe releases should have been in my opinion. I gave my sister the A71 and she will be using it until it can't be used. Thanks for the memories.
I needed a phone by the time A72 and A52 were released. I choose to spend more on the A72 solely because of the 3x optic ( better battery and big screen were a nice plus tho) still using it today. I'm sad they ditched a decent camera setup for the A73, and then stopped making the A7x series altogether. I'll keep the A72 at least until I get security patches (I'll be stuck with android 14 tho) it is a good phone even tho it is lagging a bit nowadays. And it always had a problem with stuttering video recording (not my unit, I've changed 5 of them and they all worked the same). I'll see then what to get...
i am absolutely in the same boat and same situation. I chose the a72 over the 52 because of the larger screen, bigger battery, and better cameras. its just a straight up amazing phone. I was really disappointed seeing them change up one of the cameras on the a73, was really looking forward to going with that upgrade but the camera kinda was a deal breaker for me as with all of us here, i am also severely saddened by the discontinuation of the a7x altogether
If I had to guess the galaxy a75 would have completely been like a galaxy s21 with specs that would have been “too good” this would lead to them just discontinuing it, that it doesn’t reach that point or possibly they wanted to slim down the options available in the A series.
I have been using the A7x series since 2019. A70 and A73, excellent devices never had any problem. Super reliable, good performance, decent cameras, outstanding battery life and flagship screen and speakers. I am still receiving updates for both now in almost late 2024. They killed it because they wanted a larger gap between the A5x series and the S series its a shame the A7x is the best high med range phone in the market.
I bought my A73 5g in 2022, and it still works the same as when it was out of the box. Dropped it an nth time, no dent, no scratches, no LCD problems, etc. (Though i had a case on). The plastic back doesnt rlly bother me, as it's covered up in stickers or a phone case anyway. I also use this phone for heavy gaming and the experience on it is amazing because of how big the screen is. The battery also lasts me throughout a long day in school, with my mobile data on the entire time (i'm in my campus from 6.30am to 7.30 pm, toxic i know). My program and courses require me to be in a laborstory setting, and the camera quality is better than the latest iphones in my opinion (that's because the auto focus on the latest iphones get confused due to the intense magnification of a microscope whenever I try to take pictures of samples). Overall, I love this phone. It really just depends on what type of user you are. Best investment for me and I can see myself still using it for 2 to 3 more yrs.
Dropped 9 times and your phone faced no screen issue? Meanwhile mine has no history of physical issues, and yet vertical green lines occurred on my screen.
@@GhostBanks Nah, you guessed wrong. I have the same device as you, Samsung A73 5G. It was given to me by my brother because it had a couple of green lines. Now, weeks of using 11 green lines had formed on its screen. I'm planning to get its screen replaced through local gadget store. Any tips, warnings and such to do to prevent green vertical lines forming on its screen?
@@frost3193 oh, sorry about that. I do not know how you got your lines but since you aren't using the s20-s22U, I would assume you dropped it, or it could also have been been because over serious overheating over a while. Maybe try changing it from Samsung official store? I fear there are many fake screens out there.
I have a Galaxy A71 (Storage: 128 GB | RAM: 6 GB) since 2021 and it still rocks! Sure... no more updates; I don't play any games... but for general use it just works. Battery last a full day, the camera is decent... I wonder if I should update for an A73.
This phone is great. The Samsung A73 5G has great internal storage with 256GB and you can expand the storage with a 512 GB, 1TB, 1.5 TB or a 2TB SD Card. I would buy the Gray or Black version of this phone.
I somehow was able to get an A71 5G thru Tmobile, and having had the S9+, the LG V20, the Pixel 6 Pro, and currently the A54 5G, but the A71 has been BY FAR my favorite phone, and I still use it for media consumption & casual pics/vlogging. I've spent 3+ years driving this phone into the ground, using it by far more every day than any other devices I used, watching YT 8-12hrs every day, web browsing, etc. & has held up like a champ! I would LOVE to get this A73, would even trade my Pixel 6 Pro for it! 🥺
I have an exynos 1380 inside my A35, playing android games, snapping photos, and responsiveness, and I have no complaints very comparable to the Snapdragon.
I have an exynos 2200 and it doesn't lag in games and only lags when it overheats which you can take off the case and that will be finel but the battery life is a bit bad and it overheats a bit tho which it's only in this update hope samsung will fix it
I always said that when I got the A71 that it was at peak and even with the 72 and 73, they are still probably the best phones when staying midrange. I don't have the 71 now and did end up upgrading to the S22 Ultra, but still felt the 71 was better even though it came it 2 years prior. With the Snapdragon mostly on the S series phones and not really on the A series is what making me not want to go back to midrange but I would hope one day Samsung would make a new midrange with the snapdragon again if they stop creating A70 series and probably the A50 series (with the way they did not launch the A55 in US may go in the same route).
I had an A70 phone which I absolutely loved. It was everything you needed. Powerful, big battery, large amoled screen. I had it up until I dropped it in the toilet :/. I switched to an s22ultra in late 2022.
Ah I wish I was still using it, loved that phone, but it died a few months ago after exactly 2 years of use. I'm so disappointed, I was expecting to have it much longer...
@@TimJ201 it started randomly freezing, restarting and turning off, and that was happening more and more often, at one point it turned off in the middle of a phone call with my boss lol, and eventually it completely bricked and I couldn't turn it on at all anymore.
The Exynos 1480 is leaps and bounds ahead of the 1380, performance and thermal-wise, Exynos 1480 >> 1380 > SD778G The E1480 is comparable to MTK 8050/8020 minus thermal throttling
raw performace yes, thermal control hell no, the A55 still heats up quickly like any other Exynos chips, especially when you use the camera or playing games and it STILL STUTTERS ON THE HOME SCREEN
You didnt talk about the antutu score, my mint A73 crossed 596,000 on antutu 10 and 1100/2911 on geekbench 6. For a mid range phone, that's nuts! Ive had the phone since June 2023, and the only thing bad about it was the battery health, which is, as of now, 86%, and that's probably my fault since i game and use camera (night sky photos and timelapses) alot. Best midrange phone i have owned (previously i had an A72) :p
I never had the A73, but I had the A71 and purchased it 4 years ago brand new. However, it stopped working late last year. So, I tried the Samsung S20FE 5G and got it brand new online. It's probably not quite as good as the A73 you reviewed on your video or even the A71 I had....but the Samsung S20 FE works well enough for me with my photo needs and screen qualities, even though it is a 4 year old smartphone. IF I had the Samsung A73 and it was in pretty good condition, I'd keep on updating it if possible and use it until you have no other choice to get another Samsung smartphone to replace it. Maybe Samsung will change its tune and make a higher A-series phone to keep that A-series line going on, even for a little while longer. I wonder why Samsung don't make "FE" versions of the A-series also. Good video.
I have the A73 5g and love it. I've had it for almost 2 years and the battery still last me 2 days. I don't play games on it. The only thing I don't like is the lack of the "notification light". But I've gotten used to it. I still love this phone. I'll probably have it for another year. I'm waiting for the S24 ultra to go down in price, that will be my next phone.
Such a great phone. Just exchanged it last week for one of the few remaining S23 ultra in the market. I was wondering why they haven't announced the next A7X phone and so much focus on A5X like A55.
a70 is last major model to have a dedicated sd card slot. a72 is the last major one to have 3.5mm port. a73 is last a7x, with beautiful slim ratio (except the unfolded z flip series), large screen and big battery.
I have the A72. Except for the lack of 5G, it still performs pretty much everything I want to do, like browsing, texting, calling. Not a heavy gamer. I'll hang on to this until it breaks. 😂
I watched this on my A13 😆 I am definitely a thrifty person when it comes to any tech. I just use it until it won't work anymore. Then I mourn its demise and move on to another budget Samsung. Heck, I still miss my Motorola flip phone 😢 that was a great little worker, that phone. ❤
"I mourn its demise and move on", why is this so relatable. I promise myself that I won't switch phones unless the one am using either utterly died or stolen. And some phones just won't die!
I have A73 and wanted to upgrade but seems like I'm sticking to this in the next 24months. Also, I noticed that it did not depreciate much in terms of pricing. I still see it the same price 2yrs ago. I have a gel clear casing so i dont have issues with dents. I am always in water and it stick to its claim, I even accidentally dipped it quickly to pool and still works fine now. worth noting not that sophisticated Chipset. I have issues processing 4K with it with other apps.
I don't get the structure of the Samsung A series. They started out being affordable yet kinda premium then went cheaper with less and now they're sorta in between. Well built phones with questionable specs and yearly downgrades in many ways. To be fair, Motorola and OnePlus are doing the same thing and all these OEMs need to figure out what they're doing and stick with it. The processor alone in this A73 trumps anything from the lower A series up to and including the A55. Samsung needs to focus less on quantity with the A series and devote more effort into quality.
I think Samsung made some of the A Series phones too good and they couldn’t make the FE and S any better, so they sort of stalled out and started consolidating the A series below the FE. I’m not sure if Samsung as any roadmap for making these phones different or better right now
a55 has a better, more efficient chipset, it also doesnt heat as much as the 778g in the a73 it literally does perform quite a bit better than the a73, in all aspects the exynos 1480 performs better than the snapdragon 778g but obviously youll defend the a73 and make other phones seem worse
@@TechDaily I agree with you and I think Samsung needs to do even more consolidation for the A series. There's far too many phones in that lineup. And unless Samsung makes major strides with their Exynos in efficiency, they need to stop using them. They could just as easily get Snapdragon to specifically make a chipset for their A series of devices like they do with upper end S series phones. That would straighten out the lineup and streamline it overall.
@@mikaela43523 first off, calm down. It's a phone discussion, not life or death 🤣. I never said the 778 G chipset was perfect, it has overheating and mediocre to bad battery life. And I'll give Samsung credit, the newer Exynos chipsets like the 1380 and 1480 are more efficient and on many levels are better than the 778 G in the A73. But I was specifically referring to general and overall performance and that's where the A73 might win even though the A55 has higher benchmark scores. I've said it on Wade's videos and elsewhere on UA-cam but scores don't mean anything in real world use. But Snapdragon generally makes better and more stable chipsets than Exynos and most knowledgeable tech people know this is true. It has nothing to do with preferences on my part but more with being realistic.
Samsung A73 5g green line issue came one month back now it changed as pink line . Service center told to change display for 10k . Al happened because of software update, but asking money from us
I have an a52s 5g which is also one of the best midrangers and i bought it in 2021 and planing to use it till 2030. The worst thing about it is that the frame it has its so crap. I use it without a case so i get that flagship feel😂 but i have dropped it a few times and the frame cracked in half. And i have to hold it together with electric tape😂😂 but otherwise its amazing
Samsung is now just focusing on converting A-series users to S-series via FE series because first they discontinued A70 series and now A50 series in US. Samsung wants people to really go for S-series around the $400-500. I guess giving Apple is one of the reasons or just making profits larger is an obvious reason 🤷🏻.
@@TechDaily exactly, People today are just content with those A15s and A35s just because those phones are as good or almost as good as those past A7X , A5X model phones.
The Snapdragon 778 should be recycled for newer, cheaper Samsung models like the A3, A2 series or the M series. They should really pick something other than the Exynos and Dimensity for the lower budget models
I upgraded from the Galaxy A53 to the S23 FE & I realized there wasnt much of a difference, I realized samsung does OS upgrades to 4/7 years to show how much u should keep ur phone at its minimum. I won't upgrade my S23 FE till one ui 10 comes out (S23 FE is supported till one ui 9).
I was thinking about to buy A74 1 year ago but 5 months ago in 2024 i ended up buying used samsung A73 because of discontinued A73 manufacturing and market sale . And this is my first samsung phone. I love the phone and specs like 120 hz display super amoled,108 main camera with 4 camers last but not the least snapdragon processor 6Gen. still look like a modern phone with slim sleek phone with a big display I would love to buy A74 samsung should launch the A74 for midrange samsung fan users. Imagine if samsung launched A74 or A56 with snapdragon processor 8gen.
Sold my S23 FE because of the battery and thermals. It heats up a lot. It doesn't fit my country's weather unless you're always in an airconditioned room. My A70 lasted a lot longer than S23 FE battery-wise. Thinner bezels as well. I wanted to get this after I sold my S23 FE but since my country's weather is really humid, it would heat up and there's a high probabability that the green line will appear. They're quite common. So I got the S20 FE and I've been happier since.
The two best options for those who still own an A73 - 1. Continue to use and max out until A16, it's still a great device in 2024, and the 108 MP quad camera system still gets the job done, that is if you can get past the plastic build 2. Take advantage of the Samsung Trade-In policy and pick up an S24FE or any of the flagship S24 series
I'm still rocking an A71 and it genuinely does feel like the best S-lite phone without the S price. I usually sell on my old phones but not this one, it'll either die completely and I'll replace it, or upgrade and keep it as a backup. I'm way too emotionally connected with it now lol Unfortunately the A73, or A5x series in 2024, don't meet my needs anymore.
Thank you for creating this video! I really love my A73 5G after years , but I can see it's underrated in social. I've also recently found out that it's faster than Poco X6.
A73 owner here. One thing I feel that's worth noting is that the screen of the A73 can't dial down it's refresh rate to 60 Hz when you're not doing anything to save battery. It's always running at 120Hz. Aside from that minor gripe, I still don't feel pressured to upgrade. The phone still feels usable.
@NoremacOktik Whoops, I should have clarified. I meant that the A73 doesn't dial down the refresh rate to 60 Hz when you're not doing anything. It also dials down to 60 Hz when you turn on power saving.
I have the a71 5g and it's the best A series. There's plenty of newer phones but there's only so many that has the power and a phone jack. The only other choice leaves the a15 and Xcover. Not much else offers as much power with a headphone jack.
@TechDaily The xcover6 pro has all the goodies the high end phones should have. It's thick, substantial, has a passable screen, and get this a headphone jack and best of all a removable battery. It's loke the Dell Latitude of phones! We use them at our job with the county. They gave it to me earlier this year and basically if anything happens to my a71 5g that thing is my replacement.
The -500 mAh on the S23 FE is one of the main reasons I havent upgraded from my S20 FE because the main reason I even wanted to upgrade was the battery degradation but upgrading to a new battery of the same capacity just felt wrong. Also Exynos has served me just fine on this and my previous A50. I never quite got all the hate. Before that I had a Snapdragon S7 but Ive used my phone alot more now with the Exynos than when I had the Snapdragon.
A70 series is a mid tier range. Bought a A30s those days and it suck so much that sold it within a week with the NFC compatibility issues on public transport. Those days there the A80 series. Well getting a S22/ S23 ultra seems a better option imo😅
I'm still using my old a70 and suprisingly much more faster and durable than those Chinese mobile devices. Easier to fix too, the only thing that stop me from upgrading to either 71, 72 or 73 is after a70 released it became overprice that it was much more sense to buy FE series which is almost in the same price range.
Been using a72 for 2 years now. Yes it struggles a lot sometimes, like interesting bugs and sudden fps drops or stucking. But i love using this phone. I still use new ui. I still have a headphone jack. 90hz display, big screen.64 megapixels camera. I will probably jump to a s22 ultra or s23 ultra bc of the s pen. But if there were a a7x to jump to i would instead get that since it saves a lot of money.
I feel like the 70 series isn’t necessary anymore. It made more of an impact back when displays were getting even bigger but now there’s so many budget and midrange phones with the max screen size that I feel like it isn’t necessary. Sorta like how the Moto G power used to have a unique battery size and now most big phones have 5000mah. That’s not to say I didn’t like the A70 phones though,I was disappointed to see them go.
I have the s20 fe 5g, it is still a beast of a phone, looks good, gorgeous screen, sd card support, 5g, what else do you want? I have put custom rom on it, yes, knox is tripped but where i live, there is no samsung pay, so we don't need that feature anyway. As long as there is community support, i will always have a rom available to upgrade to. I switched to iPhone in the touchwiz days, i left samsung because of it, but didn't know what i know now, oneui is actually pretty awesome, so i wanted a rom that resembles it close, not knowing some devs have ported the s23 rom to the s20 fe 5g, so i have all the samsung features that came with the phone available, even volte works. The s20 fe 5g is really cheap now, and if samsung pay isn't something you use, well, go ahead and install UN1CA on it, it's such a cool rom. I love my s20 fe 5g, i got it for free, i own an iPhone 14 pro, i don't use it anymore, i switched over to the s20!
@@TechDailyI don't know that's an interesting take, I will probably say the best phone Samsung ever made was the note 9. That was their last big flagship that had every feature. Even though the Note 10 plus and the note 20 ultra 5G and S20 ultra were great phones! that's when Samsung started taking features away. Those phones didn't have a headphone jack. But you can definitely make a case for the best phone Samsung has ever made to be between S20 FE, Note 9, S10 plus.
In my experience, the lower price comes with a trade-off. A lot of A-series phones tend to slow down over time, and I've even seen them suffer from ROM failures, wiping out data. While I don’t hate Exynos, after using Snapdragon, I’m not eager to switch back-especially with the heating issues still lingering on the newer S24 and S24+. Just my two cents, though! YMMV.
My A52 a5g will be making 4 years as my daily driver in a couple of months, and it has the less capable sd 750, so the a73 will most definitely be absolutely usable for the next two years.
Back in April 2022, this phone was in my list for a new phone. To cut things short, I came down to two different options, The Galaxy A73 or the Realme GT Master Edition. Both rocking SD778G, both at around the same price range, I ended up picking the GT Master thanks to its audio jack, smaller body frame, Realme UI interface and fast charging at 67W. I can't say I regret it, but one thing about the GT is it was not future proof. Considering it launched way back in 2021, it only made it worse over time. Still, It was a decision I never regret making, and will always be grateful with the GT I have atm. As for the Galaxy, had it not using the One UI (which I find hideous and not user friendly, please that's just my opinion), I would probably take the Galaxy instead. Despite my preferences, I can safely say that the Galaxy is the winner in terms of longevity, both software and hardware (not having fast charging at 67W means the battery can last longer and not deteriorate, which is a good thing for the long run). I certainly see the appeal of having the Galaxy, but its just not for me.
I think they should leave the A50 series alone. It will create a significant gap between that and the FE series - tempting A5x users to try the FE. Great video by the way!
My guess would be they ended this because they already have the FE series of their flagship S series phones they could just sell. And sell the previous year variants at a discount for the lower end consumers.
This model is also known to have GREEN LINE Issues in SEA. For people wanting to buy this second hand, I would like to convince you to consider your options.
As someone who was formerly using Samsung A70, this green/pink line issue is the reason I opted for an old flagship (Samsung Note 10 Plus) over Samsung A73. And I do not regret my decision. The Note 10+ has been really serving me. I'm looking to upgrade to Samsung S23 Ultra within the next one or two years.
I have a A71 since the release and the only reason I'm considering changing is the burn in on the oled display. But I can't find an option that would be a big upgrade, not considering s24
@@TechDaily I used to swim with my A73 and taking videos underwater but it would stop recording after like 20 seconds but pics I would take a few as well
The a70 series has some of the best dislay size and quality for a midranged price phone. I have an a70 and its been 5 years since i have had this and to this day i have never noticed any lag or crash on this device Works as fine as new and could be used for like 3 to 4 or even 5 years on from now.
This reminds me on my ex A52s, i loved that phone. Sadly it was a dedicated stunt-phone and it hit the ground too hard one time too often... Still today a brilliant phone.
The Samsung A73 I would use in conjunction with the Samsung A24. I would use the Samsung A73 with 256 GB and put a 500 SD Card or a 1 TB SD Card and use it as a photography editing tool alongside my Tablet and Laptop. Especially for my on the go Street Photography. Does this Samsung A73 have a headphone jack
Official LineageOS 20 with Android 13 is available, and FREE for this phone. You can squeeze the last drop of utility from the A73 with a better, more secure ROM in just a few minutes
I still have my Galaxy A70 and it's still useful enough. As an upgrade, I would be fine with an A series phone that has the beautiful squared-off large screen of the S24Ultra, but I know that won't be something coming anytime soon as a reality, so I will eventually have to upgrade all the way up to the Ultra series, since I love larger screens.
A73 5G & M 52 5G were peak Mid Range for Samsung with snapdragon soc, now in 2024 the alternatives all point to the competition Realme 11 Pro+ & Realme P1 are competitive mediatek alternatives in 2024
This exactly encapsulated my feelings with my A73 5G, Buying any other Samsung except S/F series seems like a downgrade or negligible upgrade. I've decided to keep it until S25 series is out. Thanks for the great video.
i have a51 and if you have problems with animation you can unlock developer options and set {animator duration scale}, {transition animation scale }, {window animation scale} set them to of or reduce duration.
was rocking a70 all the way up until few weeks ago (bought myself an NP(2) ). It was a very solid phone and i'm kinda sad that they actually not making the 70 series anymore.
That's a great philosophy. I think from like 2010-2016 ish, people were so excited to upgrade every year. Now, not so much. I know people who haven't changed phones in 4+ years who have no desire to get anything new.
I'm still using an A70 and A71 both great phones today, still. I thought ythe A72 and A73 didn't bring enough value to warrant the upgrade and increased pricing. For me the long awaited value that never came was wireless charging support and repairabilty. 2 huge missed features worth upgrading for. As for software I missed camera sofyware updates to trickle down for the higher tier phones to the A7* series phones over time. I thonk the A7* series phones are the sweet spot to invest in. Anything feom A70 to current A73 is better than the other midrange Samsung phones. I agree that people will likely invest in higher end S series phones from the A7* series when the S series become more affordable second hand. Likely these phones will also be more mature as fist movers will have helped iron out the bugs and issues on first release of flagship phones.
Hi. I am using this phone for last 2 years. But I got a green line issue on the display very recently. Otherwise It has no issue. Very good charging backup and high quality performance. Camera is also best. Thanks for your very informative Video my dear. 👌

Hi. What app do you use to get your wallpapers?
The s22 had a pretty thermally compromised chip though in terms of battery life and throttling. If you can be patient and wait for the s23 price to drop a little bit I think it's definitely worth the upgrade. Another option is 1 + 12 r. It's cheaper than the a70 series anyways but has the proper 8g2. Although I don't know the pricing might be different if you get it when it's branded as the A3 in the global market I don't know about that

The camera honestly isn’t terrible, as long as your direct comparison isn’t a flagship like people automatically jump to
i had that flipping camera a80. that phone screen broke because i dropped it and changed my brand to nothing as i like to change stuff
Haha, you effectively got my S21 FE just way cheaper and without the overheating and bad battery life

Honestly A7x series had the best display aesthetic, screen to body ratio, and A71 was just perfectly thin
If only were the bezels a little thinner
A71 was the perfect phone for me. Thin, light, big screen was it for me
Too bad I got it traded for the new A55 coz the battery is done zo 😭.
Farewell,A71..
Do you enjoy using the A55?
The A71 was perfect for me. The battery health after 4 years is 83%, and the phone works perfectly for me. The only current problem is that the SD card slot is not functioning and can't read any SD card (although I tried the SD card on other phones and worked properly) and that issue is important for me. Now I have to change my phone for only this reason.
BTW I never cared about the plastic back or bezels as always keep my phone in a silicone cover and really appreciate a lighter phone over having a heavier phone with a glass back
I have the a71 too and battery excluded I see no reason to replace it
@@Rei-bg3rf the a50 series is laggy too with the exynos. I still rock the a70 with the old snapdragon and it still works fine.

The 50 series were meant to replace the 70 series. Similarly 30 series were replaced by the 50 series.
I still have A52s 5G a 3 years old phone with a headphone jack and it is working just fine 🙂 hosting 3 different phones/sandboxes 😅
My main phone applications, work Mode with teams, outlook etc.. and secure folder aka my private space 😁 The phone is also powerful enough to run emulation for some retro games that I like. It makes descent images and videos
I'm really happy that I got out of my comfort zone and switched from Apple to Samsung, I feel like the phone belongs to me and can do everything without jailbreaking or sideloading apps with an expansive dev account.
I'm with you with this. I also have an A72, and I've been using it for almost 3 years.
i am absolutely in the same boat and same situation. I chose the a72 over the 52 because of the larger screen, bigger battery, and better cameras. its just a straight up amazing phone. I was really disappointed seeing them change up one of the cameras on the a73, was really looking forward to going with that upgrade but the camera kinda was a deal breaker for me
as with all of us here, i am also severely saddened by the discontinuation of the a7x altogether
I have an a73. Was a bit disappointed knowing that they removed the 3x telephoto. It's actually insane to have a telephoto lens on an a series.
I'm still using the A72, works really greaaaaat! Battery is superb, had it's last update this year.

I’m not sure if Samsung as any roadmap for making these phones different or better right now
Well said @@TechDaily
a55 has a better, more efficient chipset, it also doesnt heat as much as the 778g in the a73
it literally does perform quite a bit better than the a73, in all aspects the exynos 1480 performs better than the snapdragon 778g
but obviously youll defend the a73 and make other phones seem worse

The problem is, people just arent buying those like Samsung wants. People are going down to the A35 and A15 instead lol

The two best options for those who still own an A73 -
1. Continue to use and max out until A16, it's still a great device in 2024, and the 108 MP quad camera system still gets the job done, that is if you can get past the plastic build
I'm way too emotionally connected with it now lol
Unfortunately the A73, or A5x series in 2024, don't meet my needs anymore.
3:03 thanks! I've been waiting for months to see a size comparison between the A73 and the S24+
My Xcover6 Pro uses the 778G processor and can be throttled down from 120 hz to 60 hz in 'power saving mode'.
@NoremacOktik Whoops, I should have clarified. I meant that the A73 doesn't dial down the refresh rate to 60 Hz when you're not doing anything. It also dials down to 60 Hz when you turn on power saving.
i still use the a71, it's nearly 5 years old now but works just fine.. the only problem is that the speakers have gotten a bit weaker over the years!
What will you upgrade to??
Also still using an A51 since launch.
I have the a71 5g and it's the best A series. There's plenty of newer phones but there's only so many that has the power and a phone jack. The only other choice leaves the a15 and Xcover. Not much else offers as much power with a headphone jack.
I always forget about the Xcover 👀
Can u do oneplus 12r?
I’ll see if I can get one!
Yes that would be cool to watch.
The S20 FE was the best phone Samsung ever released. Full stop.
Have you reviewed the oneplus 12. Its my fav flagship 🤑
Were can i get this phone
I think they should leave the A50 series alone. It will create a significant gap between that and the FE series - tempting A5x users to try the FE. Great video by the way!
Hey bro can yoy review the a72 vs a73
My guess would be they ended this because they already have the FE series of their flagship S series phones they could just sell.
@@oluwaseunbernald7698^^ lol
I have a A71 since the release and the only reason I'm considering changing is the burn in on the oled display. But I can't find an option that would be a big upgrade, not considering s24
I'm still using A71 since release too but mine don't have any burns on the display. It's pity Samsung ditched A70 series
I have mine and it is working well, but water resistant may have been disturbed coz i use a gooseneck with type clamping force
I'm not sure these A Series phones were *that* water resistant to begin with
@@TechDaily I used to swim with my A73 and taking videos underwater but it would stop recording after like 20 seconds but pics I would take a few as well
The a70 series has some of the best dislay size and quality for a midranged price phone.
I have an a70 and its been 5 years since i have had this and to this day i have never noticed any lag or crash on this device
Works as fine as new and could be used for like 3 to 4 or even 5 years on from now.
This reminds me on my ex A52s, i loved that phone. Sadly it was a dedicated stunt-phone and it hit the ground too hard one time too often...
Still today a brilliant phone.
Ok but what stunts were you trying to do 😅
Still using an A52 5g for 3 years. And only downside is battery drain is faster than what it uses to be. Other than that, everything works well
Probably good for another year at least!
I think the FE line effectively replaces the A7X line.
A73 5G & M 52 5G were peak Mid Range for Samsung with snapdragon soc, now in 2024 the alternatives all point to the competition
Realme 11 Pro+ & Realme P1 are competitive mediatek alternatives in 2024
This exactly encapsulated my feelings with my A73 5G, Buying any other Samsung except S/F series seems like a downgrade or negligible upgrade. I've decided to keep it until S25 series is out. Thanks for the great video.
Thanks for watching! 👋
ive had my a71 for 4 years and its starting to to crash more, the battery sometimes dies at 40%, it freezes alot, i might go cheaply to a used a73
Question for a52 owners does your a52 lag and have animation slowdowns like the a53? I know the a52 has a snapdragon chip and a53 is exynos
Interesting question 👀 I suggested this in the video actually - that people were avoiding the A53 - A55 because of Exynos chips
i have a51 and if you have problems with animation you can unlock developer options and set {animator duration scale}, {transition animation scale }, {window animation scale} set them to of or reduce duration.
The A71 was my phone for a couple of months after I lost my iPhone. I now have a Google Pixel 7A
My mother still uses the a71 4 years straight still works great
was rocking a70 all the way up until few weeks ago (bought myself an NP(2) ). It was a very solid phone and i'm kinda sad that they actually not making the 70 series anymore.
My philosophy, get a flagship keep it for 6+ years, I'm not a heavy user so I used my mid range for 8 years
That's a great philosophy. I think from like 2010-2016 ish, people were so excited to upgrade every year. Now, not so much. I know people who haven't changed phones in 4+ years who have no desire to get anything new.
The very current flagship or an older is fine?
@terracobynnhaandoh6110 Get the latest one and put a good bumper case and a screen protector on it, and you won't have any grief.
Still using A71 and works perfectly fine with its Snapdragon chipset ❤️
The A5X phones aren't sold in the US anymore.
My first phone was A71 a very slim one. Now I jump to s23
Hi. I am using this phone for last 2 years. But I got a green line issue on the display very recently. Otherwise It has no issue. Very good charging backup and high quality performance. Camera is also best. Thanks for your very informative Video my dear. 👌
