I'm jealous. Shouldn't be since I ordered my jacket from them last week. But getting a custom jacket gets the extra long wait I guess.
You will love it. Especially if it’s made specifically for you.
In 2016 I made my own whip holder with a bit of leather from a old belt and some Sam Browne buttons as fasteners.
If the snaps ever stop holding I highly recommend doing what I did it will never let you down.
Nice video Vicar. Good to see there is more to Vicars than tea and sympathy. Great to see you are into Indy Wow oh Wow. Like your style 👍
great video. I've also gotten a Wested jacket + shirt and trousers combo. I love it!
They are so nice to wear.
Currently putty together my own kit right now, just ordered a wested raiders hat, and a whip 😃
The pants look like the U.S WW2 slacks issued to officers, they were know as "Pinks" because of their color. I enjoyed your video as I have been thinking of ordering a Indy jacket.
Thanks.
That’s a great bit of info. I’m logging that.
You would love the Wested jacket.
Great video,amazing craftsmanship!
Appreciate that. It is fantastic craftsmanship!
Nice gear,Great thx for sharing this.
Cheers.
One thing I will say is that the Wested Boot might be better than the Alden 405 boot manufactured in this year 2022. Here’s why: Alden has chosen to go short little by little on the materials and for the price $600 dollars a consumer would have the right to be angry with Alden. There are videos on this subject one should see. Consequently, the Wested boot at the price Wested sells the boot is a better deal but not necessarily a better boot given the Alden construction of the 405 boot is still very, very good...its just the materials used for the sole and heel for the boot are not of the quality they were for $200 bucks when Raiders and Temple were made. Alden got greedy.
I received my first pair of Wested boots yesterday and they look & feel great!
Amazing!!!!! Thank you for posting this!!!!!!😮😮😮
@ Cosplay_Vicar - Did you get the Cowhide? (Raider's, Standard or Hero jacket?) I own two of Wested's jackets Last Crusade Hero in Pre Distressed Cowhide and their new Legacy Hero in Lambskin. I Cosplay professionally so I'm very happy with Wested's gear!! Majority of my gear is from them!! Fortune and Glory bro, fortune and glory..........
I have a Wested Crusade jacket and its pretty awesome.Plan on wearing it on our trip coming up.I also have their boots which the leather is very stiff but decent.I do have a couple quality issues with my boots.I bought some Aldens and they are just great.I have never owned a pair of boots that were comfortable right out of the box.I still wear my Wested boots every now and then though.
Well done Sir! What a lovely video to watch. That unboxing and the final reveal: Brilliant - You got the whole shabang, wow!
Me, I have the jacket not from Wested (although I do have two Minority Report movie Jackets from them - beautifully made). but from elsewhere. It came pre-destressed, but after some sandpaper, oil, some spraying of black paint, and some more sandpaper, it looks reasonably worn in. Have a similar hat I bought abroad which I molded into shape via steam from the kettle (be careful when doing this anyone). Trousers: Funny story here: I picked up 'sofa' material (a bit like sacking) and had a pair of trousers made out of them/flaps at the back, but with a zip.
Add-on's: No whip (as yet), nor exact bag, or exact boots....or GOLDEN IDOL! - as yet, but who knows. Well done again on the complete outfit...All. You look the part, and such a great look. Funny enough, Indy's look was very common in the early 1930's (jacket, trousers, hat), but this exact look with the whip, bag and holster....man all's you need is a forest - and lo and behold, you deliver. Thanks so much for the video. Have subscribed!

Jacket looks great
It is really comfy and looks great. I’m also really liking the boots.
Had my Wested Raiders in goat for 5 years now. From California.
Whats it like wearing leather in California. In my head it would be hot!
@@Cosplayvicar actually I have 5 , 1 in horsehide ( an A2 ) a ( G1 ) in goat, a Wested Indy in goat, a black cow hide ( A2 ) bought in 1998 and I still wear and a black cafe racer in cow hide. All but the Indy I can wear in fall and winter, spring it's Indy, cooler summer nights, Indy.
@@Cosplayvicar Nice video and congratulations! I live in the San Francisco Bay Area and my 24 year old lambskin Raiders jacket is just fine Spring, Fall and Winter. Not so much for summer. The great thing about mine is it is a very think lambskin so almost more of a windbreaker really. it is also super comfortable and drapes and moves really well. Enjoy your jacket and gear!
Side-note: your bag is not a recreation, but WW2 surplus. The snaps are a giveaway. I've had mine also for 20 + years and I use it all the time and looks more and more screen-accurate it "ages." (Yes, it is already decades old but stored away that whole time.)
For your whip keeper, you will quickly find that your whip will unravel. The ones used in filming were really not practical and there are plenty of behind the scenes videos of Harrison Ford's whip unraveling. Often, they zip-tied it down. Alternatively, look for a double-roll whip keeper or one with some velcro. Not as screen-accurate but barely noticeable and if you are going to a convention, you don't want your whip unraveling all the time.
Enjoyed that. Costume looks incredible. Such quality. You really look the part mate!
I need a wild camp in it!
quality of the items looks lush :)
Great kit! Just to be clear -- the whip was also from them (Wested) as well?
Yes that’s right. It’s a nice whip.
Hi there! Thank's for the video. I've just started collected some of the items and I didn't knew that UK company. I'm strugling to get a good looking replica of the Indy hat. Where did you get the hat?
I can’t more highly recommend Herbert Johnson hatters in london. They made the original Raiders hat.
@@Cosplayvicar Thank you. They look awsome but they are also some of the more expensive ones. I am not realy a cosplayer. I just want to do a Indian Jones thematic photo shoot and so it doesn't have to bee 100% accurate.
Great video!
Thanks. Appreciate that.
PS. Really love your Indy videos.
I have the Wested Raiders jacket from 16 years ago, its followed me on many adventures :) You look surprised by all the bags, were you gifted these items? Fist bumps from Canada :)
Is the bag from any particular film? Coz I'm trying to purchase a bag from The Temple of Doom but Im not sure if Wested sells it
It’s the same. Indy wears it differently in the films. In the first 3 films it’s under the jacket in the last film it’s over the opposite shoulder and on top of his jacket in places. But it’s the same.
I have the lambskin ROTLA Jacket.
I absolutely love it, however a small part of me wishes I had gotten the pre-distressed.
I would love to order the super bundle from them, sadly , they dont support larger sizes...maybe do you know any alternatives?
Oh that is frustrating. It might be worth joining one of the cosplay groups in whatever country you’re in. They tend to have local wisdom on things like this that makes a difference..
Fantastic
Thanks for the nice video! Can I ask you how tall you are and what jacket size you ordered? Have a nice weekend!
I’m 6.1. Not sure of the size. I sent my measurements and they sent me the correct size.
@@Cosplayvicar I see.. I'm 6'1 as well and I'm trying to find out if a standard size would work.. thanks mate
What’s their shipping time to the US
I don’t know about that being in the UK. I emailed them a few questions and they responded super quick, you could always check. UK delivery was very fast.
What size is that?
It’s 60cm
hi
I have hand made my own Indy whordrobe. Acumilated parts and made modifications to them to get as close as I could. I bought a pare of Aldens 405 and ordered a Raiders gunholster and whip from Todd's years ago. I'm a stickler for screen accurate detail and just not feeling the boots(though a cheaper alternative to Aldens yes) and whip. the gold mining inside the pants threw me off also but the rest looked pretty cool man congrats👍
