posting id I didn't say it affected the sound, but I could see that the action had not been setup and was very high for a shred style guitar. I have some audio up on my channel of a Joe Satriani cover I did on my PC years ago, you're quite welcome to have a listen.
Wow lol 95 percent of avenged sevenfold music was written before this pickup was released. I hate the internet because you get ass fuckers like this going around spewing bullshit.

I understand where the other people are coming from when they talk about him not saying what amp he's using, but I don't see a problem with the rest of the review. The tone was okay (better on the C-1 FR-S) and he did a decent job explaining the important details of the guitars. Hell, it sure sparked MY interests.
The only thing your statement helps me understand is that Guitar World has put making as much money as possible ahead of providing relevant, informative demonstrations of the products they advertise on its list of priorities.
Love that satin black one that's thing totally shreds how do you like the fishman Florence pickups sustaiiniac? In the neck im curious to those pick ups I've played EMG and Seymour Duncan before could you do those pick ups for me I played many active pick ups before just never tried fishman flounce active before and wonderig if you could describe fishman flounce to me?
Hey Paul......Nice Demo........You have a lot of haters but I am not one of them.......You play very well and demo each and every product to their strengths....I have a sustainiac in a Jackson and it definitely turns heads when in use.....Keep Rockin Bro !
I love the look and sound of the first guitar, I've been eyeing it up for over a year now on Schecter's site. The problem is they won't add the damn tremolo to the blue guitar, I'm not crazy about the flat black and for $900+ it should have more color options!
Try pinching on the 3-7th fret g string, just move your right hand around and keep pinching in different positions. There are 2 places that have very clean harmonics. On a 24 fret guitar right above the bridge side coil of your neck pickup, and right inbetween the 2 pickups.
just a little remark about the dava grip tips: if you find the jazz 3 lacks grip but has the perfect shape and tone, it's the perfect option! feels similar, has more grip than any other pick i played (dunlop maxgrip included) and the delrin tip version even sounds the same. really good pick. for lead my fav, for rhythm i prefer the dunlop tortex jazz 3 1.0 mm. has a bit more edge and attack.
The finish and the build is incredibly super tight. The tone is very nice, smooth without getting into being dull, with ton o gain. I like the headstock on these Schecters. Saw another Schecter called Avenger that had an ugly headstock. Hope they didn't change their headstock to the Avenger one.
Flowthrough the headstock on the avenger only goes with the E-1 (their explorer model) and the avenger looks much better with the headstock on the synyster gates signature
I own a Schecter ATX Blackjack solo-6 (same guitar just a satin black finish). I traded a Yamaha acoustic for it. Its a great guitar with awesome tone. I also have a custom, basically homemade strat with just one humbucker and I have no idea the output or the brand or model. My cheap strat sounds and plays better than my $1500 Schecter. Probably because I took out the tone pot. If you run passive humbuckers, take out your tone pot. So much beter.
most people are not aware that the pick does make a great difference in the guitar sounding.Try playing a clean tone with a jim dounlop jazz3 and then try the same with the nylon 0,67.completely different sounding.

This Dying Soul, Glass Prison, Dark Eternal Night, Nightmare To Remember, half of Awake, he drop tunes for the entirety of Train of Thought if not then he uses a 7 string, half the songs on the new album... and those are just a few!
Some metal musicians out there (hard to find unfortunately) can use drop tunings in very artistic and wonderful ways. But I agree with the statement that most metal musicians use drop tunings just to sound heavy or brutal with "chuggah chuggah" noises.
It's not an excuse...although with some bands, it really seems like that, but seriously, tuning down can really add that sound that is just not achievable with standard tuning. There is a whole new world just tuned down half a step. Technically playing in drop Bb or A is pretty close to playing in standard.
is the floyd rose system good for staying in tune? I'm a metal player, so there's a lot of whammying, and im hoping that the sls solo won't get out of tune in the middle of a show haha. Thank you!
Humbucker if you dont split the coils. Single i presume if you do. But you also wont ever get the "real sound" of a Single coil even from the coil split.
@@Mosh0722 oh yeah lol I bought a Blackjack SLS many months ago now. FR but no Sustainiac because I found one going dirt cheap on Reverb for like $450 (with a hard case no less). It was in nearly perfect shape except that the previous owner had bored out one of the holes for the pots and replaced it with a kill switch that didn't work, so I just replaced it with a better kill switch since I basically never adjust my pots and only need the two. Course almost immediately after that everyone else in my household got sent home due to the pandemic, right when I'd normally have time to crank up my amp (I already worked from home). So I've barely gotten to play it, but ya know, eventually.
anyone know where I can buy an SLS C-1 FR-S like the one shown in the video? all the ones I've seen have offset inlays, and that is a turn-off to me lol
Paul...you rip dude! One of my favorite players without a doubt!! Whatever you pick up sounds incredible!
The neighbors will love this.
Just so everyone knows. These NECKS are incredible. Not the traditional Schecter thick necks. Much thinner and satin finish. Just incredible.
Damn, that second guitar and the way you played it was AWESOME! Serious shredding skills bro!!!

Yea to bad that piece of shit killed him man i wish i could time travel
Time travel and tackle the shit out that asshole.
If he was still alive, I have no doubt he would've switched to schecter lol
He had fun playing with the Sustainiac! Haha!
This dude is great at showing you everything a guitar cab do. Thinking seriously about getting the SLS C-1 FR-S . Thanks
that sustain is AWSOME
Imagine doing an actually divebomb with the sustaniac on....gawd, that will rip my eardrums to pieces xD
Just listen to almost any Avenged Sevenfold solo
akonslimshady123 the way that Syn uses it on Nightmare is awesome...
Syn didn't use Sustainiac in past.

Great Demo of the Schecters as well Sustainiac System etc. at a fair Price…👍🎸🤩
wow , amazing playing !

love the c1.frs finish .. and sustaniac 😲😲😲😲
just bought the sls 1frs 7 strings with the sustainiac and its fantastic.
The tone of that black jack is sexy as hell.
Like the riffs on the Blackjack Paul!
That SLS C-1 FR-S suits you Paul. Nice demo.
The solo 6 has a sexy as hell paint job.
really love the LP style great tone ........
Schecter..... The Porsche of guitars.... the new standard for the rest to follow... Gibson,, Fender.... SEEEEYAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Idk. The cheap ones are crap. The high end ones compete with stuff like lower end Gibson Les Pauls.
Fredrik Svärd They’re way better than low end gibson’s

Wow I really like how that sounds you're very good. Was all that your own riffs?
Nice demo man.
Paul! Please show me how to nail those pinch harmonic squeals
I would kill to have this guys job!
Came across a Diamond series today, beautiful guitar but the neck was way to thick for me.
Great playing and aggressive soloing!
5:54 looks like you may have problems with hitting the tremelo bar on the knob
love it the one with Sustaniac and its Black Perfect!
I wish the C1 SLS with Sustainiac was offered in blue like the Solo
Great playing, great guitars, FR for me!
aah, the full shred is such an amazing pickup. love mine, and i love my schec too ;)

I want the Blackjack guitar!
If I could get that exact C-1, except with a Solo style body instead, that'd be nice.
Well if you wanted that c1 you'd have the c1. What you're really saying is that you want a solo6 not a c1
Yeah... that IS what I'm saying.
Jukle0
or maybe u really want is a solo-6, but with tht sustainiac system? just a thought.
Or maybe you wanna have a fucking think about what your arse talks about
we would still like to know what hes running through. you think they would tell us after so many years of not.
I so want DAT blackjack
if i had that kinda money i would get the solo 6 sls. i might get the hell raiser solo 6. emgs jinxx uses the sls solo 6 blackjack.
when you switch off the sustain mode and use the neck pickup, it works like a hambucker or a single coil?
Humbucker if you dont split the coils. Single i presume if you do. But you also wont ever get the "real sound" of a Single coil even from the coil split.
Sylwester Grega you can't split a sustainiac because theres nothing to split. You can however get a single sized sustainiac
When you descend from 1:00-1:05 classic Vic Wooten bass lick...thought I recognized it!
check my reply to the other guy. JP always uses a 7 string. not exclusively no but he also doesnt use a 6 exclusively
awsome skills killing it
The exact two guitars I'm trying to decide between buying, fuckin wild

When you play the Pinch harmonic at 0:28 are you on second third fret?
I can't reproduce this one
I now understand why it is so easy for Synyster Gates to have that intense feedbacks and harmonics !
bridge, pickup seymour duncar seri?

what kind of amp/distortion/gain is it on the shecter SLS Solo-6?
okey, i don't have time to see the whole clip.
what's the price?
why they stopped making hell's gate skull inlays, faq...

Move your hand closer to the bridge or play a natural harmonic right behind the second fret.
What do you mean? He had metal tone.
dava picks I guess the pick is more important than the amp you're using? :p
Rock on!
i know man im also 15 if they dont like it then dont buy it, but having a tailpiece and tom bridge is much easier to restring and tune
If I use Dava picks, can I shred like that too??

where can i pick up the sls solo 6
dude dude dude ;-; what amplifier are you using and what settings?
