my 2 cents: 5. Haggle is total shit, especially when you do tip 6. to minimize your gold at your shopping, spend your gold on more useful things. (you need one haggle for the techtree) Another helpful tip there would be that you can exit the skilltree, buy at the smith/enchantress and you can go back to the skilltree afterwards. Didn't know this till 50 hours in... 7. Rooms with hidden chests show them on the minimap. So if you wonder if there is something hidden, just check your minimap (the chest is shown a bit transparent). 11. Exit and Reenter rooms. When you enter a room enemies like the Blazelock will start shooting at you. If you leave and reenter the room the enemies are still "reloading" and this can make the room significantly easier. 12. Know which enemies does what, which projectiles can go trough walls and which not etc. Health is the rarest resource, rather dodge once more before risking too much when you still inexperienced. 13. Hermes Boots lets you walk on spikes. 14. Don't risk your live for a 10 gold coin. Don't do a risky jump/manouver just for 10 gold in 90% of the cases you will take damage. Regaining health is extremely rare, finding another 10 gold is not. 15. Blood gear reduces your health quite a lot and is rather heavy. Rather use vampiric/balanced runes, they have the same effect without any downsides (other then using up a rune slot). 16. If you acquired all runes, all subsequent rune chest will have status upgrades.
Tips: play carefully until you master (better to be slow and avoid damage than rush and die), watch out for mimics (chests & paintings), your map shows most chests in rooms you enter, look out for secret passageways (floors, ceilings and walls marked in dark grey), equipment offer strong buffs (choose wisely), and save the boss room statues if you're at full HP/MP ...

Play spelunky 2 if you think this is hard 😀. (I recommend spelunky 2 if you enjoyed this game it is a very fun experience and it is one of my favorite games ever. It’s a rogue like where if you die you restart unlike this game you don’t upgrade anything. You just have to get gud. But there are many unlockable games that make a cool reappearance from the first game. I highly recommend you buy it if you liked rogue legacy)
2019 and this game is why i still play the Vita. And this game cannot be praised enough from the visuals, music, tight controls and game mechanics. @@iCutWaffles nice to know they are making a 2nd. But damn it's crazy to know we will be getting a Hollow knight 2 and a 3rd Steam World Game sense 2013 before a RL2!
Just two ideas for the game: There should be a trait or item that makes your character "Observant". It can be uncommon for balance reasons but mainly it lets you see the mimic chests/paintings more easily (Like, they'll sparkle or something) Hidden passageways would have a pulsing glow, and in the elf game, ONE of the two false chests would have an effect to tell you that it's not the winning chest. It wouldn't be a total aimbot for the good loot, but a rare item/trait like that would make some good lucky runs. Also, an item or trait that makes you a "Scavenger" would be useful for increasing the chance of gold drops from background objects and enemies. Again, probably might have to be rare for gameplay balance, but might be cool to have. If they had a drawback, as well, it might make the balancing better. An "Observant" character may be looking too hard for secrets and traps that certain treasures/enemies are invisible until you're right next to them, so you can easily get ambushed, or a "Scavenger" character may be able to get a higher chance of loot from destroying things, but they lose 10% of their gold on death to account for all the bonus gold accumulated, or the next character only gets 90% gold or something. Again, seems sorta overpowered, but implemented well, could add a bit more variety to the game.
there is a way to see which chest is the right one at the elf game. If you are near- or far-sighted you can find glasses at the shrine which fixes your eyesight but also let's you see which chest is the right one. If you want some more variety look at the "lament of zors" mod, which reworked most of the characters and added quite a lot depth to them (miner gets useful, lich not only gets health but also more power when killing enemies, archmage gets sort of mana regen, etc. etc.) and makes of all of them fun to play. Basically most of what you describe is the miner in "lament of zors" I guess.
@@necroarcanistxiii if you have the steam version it's preinstalled now with the original. When you start you can choose if you want to play the original or the mod.
Why recommend Haggle as an early upgrade? You end up spending almost all of your gold on upgrades between runs, so it's not like he takes much from you.
If you always get enough gold to buy something then I agree with you, I had a lot of runs where I made mistakes and ended with 200/300 gold that I couldn't spend, saving part of that it's nice

How do you defeat enemies behind walls, when using the Dragon (Man-Dragon). And how come that i just died, and now there's this old school filter over the screen. How do i get that away?
The old filter is one of the traits your characters may have (you'll learn them by playing) About the enemies behind walls, I'd say it depends more on the magic than the class

"attack any chest you encounter" OOOOOOR you can just open your eyes and see that there are no chests on the map
OOOOOR look at the chest abd see if it shakes
It was mentioned in the video.
One time I had a mimic right on top of the actual chest.
That feeling when you find the maya lower in the map than the forest

easy ways to spot mimics:
-mimics will never show up on the minimap, but real chests will.
-mimics fidget and breath similar to the paintings.

Another tip is to quit the game then continue, this sends you straight back to the first room in the game.
I dont do this cause you lose all the money
