Someone got off their shift at that office store and went back to the dumpster and said "what happened to all the stuff I hid!?" Haha ninja Pete strikes again!
Yep that would have been me. Dame you Peter!
No one else thinks that's a dick move? Some poor college student thought he finally caught a break. Peter knew someone was saving that for themselves.
Hahahahaha.
@@realfatmikeNope. The dick move is stealing from your employer. Pete did the right thing and he genuinely thought it was thrown out if you pay attention to the video.
God, We have become so wasteful as a society. 90% of the stuff in those dumpsters was recyclable or reusable. Sad
rundoetx my thoughts exactly
Some of the dumpsters filled with cardboard may have actually been recycling dumpsters.
@@SteveFrenchWoodNStuff Maybe. In my area, the recycling dumpsters are painted a light blue, or have signs on them. I would hope you are right.
rundoetx you're right and this guy isn't helping. A new shade for the lamp would cost $10 to $15 and it'd be good as new and not in the landfill. He left so much it's sad.
Recycled cheese balls is called poop.
My dad at 75 lived next to a big mall and would go diving, it's how he got his exercise. lol.
I’m laughing. That was hilarious. The guy that hid those will be stunned.
Lol
Or woman.
Lmao I love the music you put when you're picking up the dumpster, make you feel like you're there and in a hurry before they catch you
Come clean with us Pete. When the cam goes off you are munching on chocolate and cheez ballz 🤣. Love your videos
I would have smashed at least 3 of those candy bars and lived with the shame
@@drewduffiney I would have done it and lived with pride!
Btw, sell by date is a guideline those cheese balls would still be fine.
Alan N
That gets me really mad when I see inconsiderate divers not take it for others!
L G ditto. But if your diving for content to make a video and for views.... This is what happens. Smdh. This video makes me sick.
Not anymore. FDA regs gave changed. It's no longer an "arbitrary" date chosen by the manufacturer.
Angel
Ppl just do the taste and smell test.
Those cheese balls would still be fine in 2022 !!!
A 3 day supply of cheesy puffs!!! What a find!
Ikr I would sure have gotten them my son loves them and I would ate some also and my other kids and husband no shame here . I would have donated one of them I just couldn't have left them
@Brooke K if they were expired they weren't stale.!!! 😆😆
The waste in this country is irritating.
*Were also on our way to the dumpsters.. had to stop and say Hey and happy to see u in the bins again* 😉😎♻
What a shame all the pet dog foods wasted could be denoted to animal shelters
But maybe it was thrown away because it was infested with bugs? You wouldn't want to donate a problem to a shelter would you?
39gadget They just have to toss after a certain date. Almost all of the time, the food is fine, especially if it will be used rather quickly, as with shelters.
Good point
Capitalism
39gadget
All u have to do is check! I highly doubt any bugs.. Usually they break open from tossing heavy ones inside. I never saw a diver find bugs in pet food yet! I can’t watch divers who find great items and don’t think of others who can use it, very frustrating to watch that!
Perhaps an employee who was instructed to throw the computer bag and note books out had put aside for themselves? But you beat them to it!
That's what I was thinking.
my old boyfriend's dad used to do that. he worked at Best Buy and would dump camcorders, and all kids of stuff in trash, then when they closed and everyone went home, he would swing by and get them. once we had a lot of his stuff at our apt, and got a tip that the cops were coming to check, got the stuff out like 3 hours before they came. i let them in to totally check the place cuz i didnt want them to come back. he ended up getting busted. i forgot how tho? maybe a sting?now that is going to drive me nuts trying to remmber that detail??? FYI, his son, the guy i dated, learned this from daddy dearest and he dumped crab and lobster from Red Lobster while he was a busboy. he never got caught or just didnt do it that much. forgot the details on that too except he never got into trouble. :)
I prefer the video without the background music. Keep hustling Bro.
sounded like the Batman soundtrack.....
Borys Vulgarin F. Yeah I watched it muted
Adds suspense , he is taking the time to film no reason to dog the man . Nice job 👍
Ok the music in the first few minutes was AWESOME! I kept waiting for someone to jump out of a dumpster at you! LOL!
free shipping supply's is the best part of dumpster diving!!!
I really enjoy watching you make videos like this. It is almost like I am doing it with you. I used to love to dumpster dive when I could still walk. Now I enjoy watching other people do it for me. lol Thanks Pete and have a great day.
Not gonna lie. Probably would have grabbed the cheeseballs over the cameras.
hell yes and the chocolate bars....lol
Really! And that food, if unopened, was probably okay. I'd take the webcams and sell them. Munch out on cheeseballs and chocolate.
I'm a dumpster diver. Sold many dumpster finds. Best find was a standing rack with 22 direct tv units plus all other components so far I've sold 15 of the units for $33 each.
Felt like I was in the new movie The Dark Knight Dumpster Dives.

When I Saw the Cans I thought about MILO and a Tear Came to My Eye............

Me neither, that's sad
I have . I've found a new Sony receiver amp worth 200$. With manual an remote. Another time a Sony cd player boombox. Here in guam. Even a new seiko watch. And many more times. I've sold lots of stuff . I love it. !
12:21 OfficeMax employee cries. You should go back in exactly a week and see what else is stashed.
My EXACT thought...some student is going to be very sad when he/she comes back for the stash. Seems like perfect justice though.
Yep! I also thought this. An employee probably stashed it to grab on their way out SMH
Good to see that people quickly ASSume the worst of others.
@@aammdj What do your logical reason and deduction skills lead you to believe happened that a brand new, empty laptop bag and two brand new notebooks made their way *under* the dumpster?
@@Deken exactly, thank you. My thoughts exactly but couldn't of said it better myself lol
Savers and Goodwill monitor their dumpsters closely.
I would have snagged all the chocolate bars. It's good for literally years if it's stored well. Would have been good treats for your people.
The snacks were most likely all good and should have been grabbed. They are stores that deal in "lightly expired" stuff like that. They're usually good for quite a long time after the date. Good scores though. I wonder if the laptop bag was just one an employee was stealing.
LossVegas
Yes, very frustrating to watch him leave good chocolate. Best Buy dates are so the company can get you to throw it out and rebuy! My friends brother over buys canned goods. The Best Buy dates are over 5 years on some of them and they taste fine still. Dr. Oz said just do the taste and smell test. It’s common sense!
I dumpster dive. I found a set of Harley-Davidson tall shot glasses, 13 of them, and sold on eBay for $27. I have found tons of things over the last month's
I am glad you found some animal food, but why not donate that stuff to a locate animal shelter instead of trash it??? What a freakin' waste!! But, good for you!
I thought it was going to blow up when the music started.
That background music has me biting my nails!
Tony Piela me too! Lol!
@@AllSmiles006 Ditto here!
Expired food is usually fine. I worked at a liquidation store that sold it.
Hahaha Pete you are the best! You even make something special out of dumpster diving. That was more like a dumpster thriller. The music was great, I've been waiting the whole time someone jumps out of the dumpster, or a hand reaches out and grab you. LOL ..Good finds!
Amazing day for a dive!! Thank you immensely for sharing 🤜✨🤛
Ahhh. The thrill of the dive. I like that you told us that you didn't film all the dumpsters that had nothing. You're great Pete.
Stuff under the dumpster was most likely an employee back to school shopping out the back door. I worked in retail for many years and they were always catching employees hiding merchandise when they take out the garbage. The enclosed compacting dumpsters eliminates this type of loss. Thanks for the videos.
Best Buy date is not an expiration date - It's a suggested date to sell it by, but won't actually expires for awhile after.
I always wondered if you buy Storage Units???
I was going to say the same thing. Plus, candy bars and cheese puffs are so processed and have preservatives so they won't go bad instantly on the sell by date. They will just maybe taste slightly stale. But it's not like fresh milk or meat that really turns BAD as in inedible.
Don't know how convenient it is for you, but I stopped going to retail store dumpsters to look for boxes and styrofoam and started going to Industrial dumpsters.
These places are doing multimillion-dollar jobs and just throwing away their extra parts.
I think I've gotten $9-10k in sold inventory from industrial DD this year so far... Crazy stuff
Wow really? I never tried it, do you hit up commercial warehouses and factories? What types of items do you find?
@@D1Junk places near me that I like to go to include: an elevator company (high end switches, elevator panels) a flooring company (cases of flooring), a ceiling fan distribution center (cases of replacement parts), a couple medical r&D places (varied stuff), industrial electrical contractor (piles of old breakers), an Industrial automation place (loads of good stuff) etc.
I never gone to factories except a couple I know that have an old dumpster they throw scraps in for the public.
@@JW-hh4qg Oh okay so you go to like manufactures/distribution buildings then? They usually throw away good shit?
I would have taken that lamp to take the bulb and the cable with switch could be used to repair another lamp in the future, it's good to store some parts in the tool box that use to break
Same here. I grab broken lamps from dumpsters on a fairly regular basis. They're great for repair parts or use the guts to make other things into lamp that you can sell.
@12:50 what you encountered underneath the dumpster was an employee who stashed items from the store and hid it as “garbage” to take it home after their shift. In other words, they were ready to steal those items.
The music kept me on the edge of my seat.
I like the background music,the suspense!Great video.
I gave my 24 year old daughter your UA-cam channel she's hooked on dumpster diving she loves it she has spent the last two weeks dumpster diving and has over $800 worth of dog and cat food nothing wrong just expired she just loves your Channel Pete and Adrian I appreciate what you guys do for us this is most spectacular and thank you for helping my daughter gets her out of the house
I prefer the everyday life in the pawnshop, but this is interesting too. Nice bag find, thanks for sharing!
feel bad you left so much stuff, not just including food. that music is a trip!
It was great to see you dumpster diving again!
PETE I WORKED SANITATION IN A SMALL TOWN FOR 8 YEARS FOUND SO MANY TREASURES IT WAS UNREAL
joe stewart
What was ur best find? I always wonder what sanitation men find cause so much stuff! It must be upsetting cause u can’t take the big stuff in ur seating area. Does the company say u can’t take stuff but all do anyway?
@@LGAussie I had finds everyday mom and dad opened a thrift store and sold most of my funds but I found alot of treasures jewelry money at old books you name it boy when the walmart trucks dump there stuff at the landfill anything and everything
Thanks for sharing. I always enjoy the videos. I also love to dumpster dive. Was bummed the other day when one of my favorite dumpsters had a nie new shiney silver pad lock on it. Booooo!
Binge watching this feed. Loving it 🙂
Your awesome Mr. Pete!
I hope you enjoyed your day of dumpster diving, it has been awhile hasn’t it?
Great video thank you for sharing.
Have a great day!
Fun video Pete we’ll get ready to do some diving and hunting for goodies in 4000 square of the warehouse when you see it it’s like a huge dumpster... Lol🤪 See you in a few hours! Happy Hunting Day!!!
You're the real deal. Dumpster diving is difficult. Many on here will deceive by making it look easier than it really is to get views. I bet many of these youtubers plant good stuff inside dumpsters so they can film themselves finding treasure.
I was surprised you were checking dumpsters.
But it is definitely fun. Never no what you can find. It’s a challenge. I had a electronic repairs shop. And in 3 years I had accumulated so many electronic goods. Plus I was working from home for 10 years. And fit so many videos n tv’s for spare or repairs. I had over
20 k of parts. I wasn’t well. My brother put everything into the dump. Not thinking all the new parts wer worth a fortune. New buyer for shop wanted it completely empty. So he dumped everything. That was a waste of my life of 20 years. My daughter had cancer. So I had no choise to empty out shop. But it could all be put in a garage. Instead he scrapped it all. Soo many. Electrical goods full working. Very sad. I love ur work. I really enjoin the repairing game. God Bless You All
Stay safe n take care.
Also I have a lot of video parts. So if you need anything. Please contact me on

I love dumpster diving! You never know what you’re going to find and most of the stuff I’ve found have been pretty cool! I love it when you said we are going dumpster diving I was like hell ya! I enjoy doing stuff like that so hearing you say that got me excited lol
Nice to see someone actually recycle some boxes. I always watch these dumpster diving videos and see so many good boxes going to waste.
I sell stuff on eBay and get most of my boxes this way.
I really enjoy watching your excursions in the dumpsters. That food said: Best if used by 00/00/19
It's perfectly good food to eat they just can't sell it. You should have grabbed it.
God bless you all ❤ XOXO
Loved the suspenseful background music.....it kept me at the edge of my seat the entire video!
The first video of yours i ever saw was a dumper diving one...😜🐉 hello from wales pete
what mic do you use with your go pro?
Daaaa Bears! I want to dumpster dive at Ulta and makeup stores!
All that stuff with expired dates are usually still good a month or (usually) longer after the supposed expiration. Ive bought a lot of expired, perfectly good food really cheap.
Fun Stuff for sure Pete :)
New subscriber love your video thanks for sharing God bless you from Iowa.
I dumpster diving it is real slow right now but what you found is pretty cool. 😁
The music at the start made me anxious!😂
It is exciting it's like a treasure hunt and nothing like almost pure profit! But I just really wanted to say I'm new to your Channel but I've been enjoying it very much I actually live about a half hour away from your shop and looking forward to getting up there Monday soon. Thanks for all the entertainment and education
Nice to see you still at it !
First time watching...loved it!
Oh man, this guys a legend, definitely check out more of his stuff
Employees stealing and hiding the stuff..
And your coming up on their come up!
I worked next to AT&T for 10 years and everytime I went to throw out the trash they had the dumpster full of stuff.... I never thought about dumpster diving so I wonder how much stuff I missed out on..
Nice video bro! I have been dumpster diving for years. I don't find much here in Tennessee. But like you said it is fun to go look.
Fun video
Thrifting is a mind set
Hey! First time watcher from Alabama! I dumpster dive and live it, love watching ppl do it also. Keep it up.
Those small, light first class mail boxes are great.
Nice a Dumster Diving for Pete, its been awhile since you did a dumster diving and this was one of your original content on your channel long time ago. Ok time to watch it now.
Thanks for sharing a new dumster diving Pete. Nice finds and i wish could keep the safe box for myself to store some stuff lol. Always enjoy watching all your videos especially dumster diving and VCRs you find at Goodwill/Thrift Stores.
Opening the combination-lock suitcase with the background music made me believe I was watching a Mission Impossible movie.
I know I'm not the only one out there who wishes the pet stores could work something out and donate the expired food to shelter or foster homes. I totally understand there is an issue with the expiration dates, but most folks know those dates are no true indication that the food is bad. I'm positive that hungry doggies and kitties would not turn it down. And I can't believe you didn't grab some cheese balls for your snackers at the shop!!! :)
Hi I’m new those cheesy balls reminded of Cartman from Southpark thanks
The 1st video of yours I ever watched was of you dumpster diving and I have been a subscriber ever since.
Did he really take that person stash..geez
Wish we could do dumpster diving over here in the UK without breaking the law! Lol
Been a while love this vids
Heeeeee’s back! Great job! Lol
I have done a bit of dumpster diving. I don’t have many stores that aren’t locked or compactors near me, but I have done really well with what I have found. I go to mostly bath and body works and get candles.
I was so excited when you said "Guitar Center" and then...nothing. Damn! ;-)
Hello Pete, Just wondering if you get clearance from the stores 1st or is it legal to get boxes from the dumpsters in your town? Thanks for the adventure looks like lots of fun.
Enjoyed the video Pete!
Dude, as a box hunter, those little boxes at the Pier 1 made me sooooo jealous. I'll have to check the one near me for similar ones.
I said the same thing to myself!
That's what I dive for - the packing supplies!
Your extremely pensive music kept me in anticipation.....😨😯😜😄

That’s a great find. My neighbor threw out a very pricey snow blower. I walked it to another neighbors house 5 houses down who recently said he needed one!! Lol!! It was about $1,000 new! Worked fine!!
Why would he not list it for $200 on Craigslist at least or eBay pick up only! Jeeze!!
Love your dumpster divin' videos Pete ! It's illegal here in Connecticut but I occasionally "curb shop" on garbage nights ☺ keep em comin' very enjoyable . . . Cheers 👍👊✌
Thanks for the vids
I got a lot of laughs. Keep doing it.
More than $50-$60 That packing material is not cheap if you had to buy it.....
Pete your always good entertainment ! Cheers !
Okay I work at a retail store and when you see ( best by date on any food that is not the expiration date that just mean best used by but is not expiration or expired you still have 2 to 3 weeks after best by date so that chocolate and cheese balls were still good . Oh lol I forget hello from Deep Run North Carolina I'm new to your channel ☺️☺️😄😁👍👍👍
I love all of your vids Pete. You are an inspiration.
Do you check pet food to ensure its not recalled?? Im sure you do but needed to ask.
I love watching your dumpster dive
