#StainedGlass #suncatcher #bandedagate The nearby forests are closed, there are wildfires around, so I decide to make some art with some cool banded agate slabs and stained glass.
Lauren that is awesome! I love it! I really like how you laid it out, that is key. I have always wanted to try stained glass. I've been told I have too many hobbies though. I do work with tumbled glass and slag if you ever need some.
That turned out gorgeous! It is always nice to see a person with great talent create works of art using rocks. When framed it will be even more awesome. As always thanks for sharing! And be safe around those forest fires!
Thanks! I ordered a frame for it today. We’ve had enough rain now that the fire restrictions are lifted. Hopefully that means no more bad fires this year. 🤞🏼
That was a fabulous art project! It turned out really well! Ive seen people who have done it with all agate pieces, but never with actual glass pieces! They helped with the over all transparency of the project, and still blended nicely! Beautiful stained glass and agate project and it wasnt as difficult as it seemed, in the beginning! Awesome job! Thanks for sharing!
@@RocksForBrains HI!! Yes a few, not as much as I would have liked but I spent 2 hours digging in the dirt and loved every minute of it. Thanks and keep digging
this is really awesome!!! what is the saw you use to cut the glass ? wondering how often you need to change the blade please? i go through grinding wheels so quickly
Wow! What a creative piece with the stones and the glass! It"s absolutely gorgeous. Bravo.
Wow...Beautiful creation. Thank you so much....
Wow 🤩
Nice! So fun to watch!
I hope no one in your neighborhood ever gets to the "GO" phase, stay ready just in case. That's scary. Great job! It's so cool! Thanks for sharing.
Yeah we were close to the GO line on the last one. We’ve had rain now, and flooding nearby. It’s always something. 🤷🏼♀️
Beautiful
Dang! What a great idea! That turned out so awesome! You're very talented!
Thank you! 😁
Beautiful! This video shows me the beauty of creation!
We’re all makers on some level. 😁
Great job! Agates are nature's stained glass.
Right!?! 😊

Thanks! You could always get a couple precut kits just to try it out. It doesn’t require many tools that way. 😜
Thanks for the response!
Wow! When God created you- he broke the mold, incredible talent!
I love this, I’m a stained glass artist and have recently used an agate slab to make dream catcher. Want to do more with slabs!
That’s great! 😁 I do enjoy mixing materials. I’ve done a few pieces with embossed glass saucers in the middle too.
@@RocksForBrains I’ve seen others do those as well, they are very cool!

Very nice work, enjoy your channel. Was just at the Dobell ranch digging some petrified wood...
Cool! I hope to go there myself soon. Did you find any good pieces?

Thanks! It’s a Taurus 3 ring saw. I’ve had it for many years and only had to change the blades a handful of times. 😊
Which glass saw do you use.
It’s a Taurus 3 Ring. www.delphiglass.com/glass-tools/ring-saws/taurus-3-ring-saw?gclid=CjwKCAiAzp6eBhByEiwA_gGq5H6YMaNW4f_Idzgji20q4TNKo5Vhj0O-t8zMmuOcg-M0Rmsjx5AYYRoCCckQAvD_BwE
