I think the getting mad thing is when they see you? Which is obnoxious with how close quarters stuff is. Having a small windup, or have em on a timer would be better imo
This reminds me of playing those game maker tycoon things and combining random genres only to find out pinball rogue like is my jam. Love roguegaurd etc.
I recently was playin pokemon pinball on gba and i was really wanting a new complex pinball system like that so this is a great reccomendation for me, i always like to use your channel to see whats new going on and im glad it can line up exactly with what i wanted to play right around now
I agree with a lot of the comments, without the distraction of actually having to play it seems like the slimes don't get mad unless they see you. Also, as well as scaling in damage, at the higher levels the slimes seem to notice you faster.
The little cubes seem to get angry when you are in line of sight, which seems really annoying when you just shoot at them and their path turns around and you get hit because its pinball and controls aren't the most refined.
Lol Reto hates not being in control. I feel like this is more like Pinball trainer for roguelite players than the other way around or something. It would be very interesting to see a pro pinball player try this. Like we never saw if you could hold your wizard on the flipper which is the only "pro" pinball move I know and can remember lol...
Ever since I was a young boy, I've played the silver ball From Soho down to Brighton, I must've played 'em all But I ain't seen nothin' like him in any amusement hall That deaf, dumb, and blind kid sure plays a mean pinball He stands like a statue, becomes part of the machine Feelin' all the bumpers, always playin' clean Plays by intuition, the digit counters fall That deaf, dumb, and blind kid sure plays a mean pinball
@@KevinMcEl I don't think this is a fair assessment of this game at all lmfao the ball moves at completely random speeds in completely unpredictable ways
It often seems like folks who make pinball games don't play a lot of pinball. This could be a game I would totally love to play if the flippers were larger and more responsive, and especially if there was jostling.
Thats very sad to hear the flippers dont feel good... That literaly changes everything if you have any notable experience with real pinball... I mean, thats how it works is you eventually get so good you CAN put the ball exactly where you want it, but only if the machine is in perfect working order..
I dunno; a pinball wizard? There has to be a trick! And next you'll be saying he has such a supple wrist as well. Seriously though, I remember having fun with this on iOS ages ago; wouldn't mind seeing you take a run at the full tower.
I got to floor 17 and they hurt a lot. Even grinded two runs till death and still not easy. :D Seems fun but maybe bit over tuned unless they wanted to go for that? Also, infinite dungeon is cool but SO HARD. :D
Movement is quite odd in this one. Some of the angles and momentum changes when hitting things just doesn't look right. And enemies get angry before you hit them when approaching them via their line of sight, which is also pretty weird considering the previous issues. I remember playing pinball as a kid, to truly embrace that madness, the momentum and angles need to be on point. Seems like it could be a fun game with a little physics rework. Watching the wizard go around the outside repeatedly is painful, but the movement is so slippery it just seems inevitable not a skill issue.
Okay so while watching the video i may be wrong by observation, but the slimes seemd to only get mad/orange when they had eyesight on you, if im right about this then there is a indicator of when they attack
needs more predictability, some I-frames on exit, and *more accurate damage frames* but otherwise is ok also the damage was indeed scaled to your floor, (it is better to go back a few floors from your place) I think the scaling is intended for the rogue-lite aspect but is poorly done for the "campaign"
Clearly this needs some concept work still. There isn't enough control in pinball to avoid taking damage. This is more rage inducing than fun looking in its current state.
I like the idea of the game, and it looks fun, but the attacking system of the enemys by randomly getting angry, and the player being able to take damage through means that arent falling down really feels like bs
I played this game on iPad a while ago and the idea of the game still seems great but playing it still feels so frustrating. Some weird combination of the flipper, level and enemy design make the game play feel uncontrollable and not very fun to play. I got a little bit of enjoyment watching retro suffer as much as I did. Does schadenfreude make me a bad person? Lol

@@TheFinn70 I can’t blame them regular pinball kinda blows
as i once had a worldrecord in pinball I may be biased, but to me it looks fine.

There has to be a twist! He’s got such supple wrists!
Damn that youtuber sure plays a Mean pinball

pokemon pinball for gba was my favourite pinball for many years of my childhood

Would love to see this series continue. Also, Caves of Qud someday

I think the speedrunning of this game will be wild!

seems like the move would be to clear the area and then go for the key as to not activate the timer until late as possible

Looks like a cool game! Love the soundtrack
They have an eye and they get mad when they see you
I'm a retro gamer this game is actually pretty good
what a crazy game idea
This is delightfully bonkers!
The slime thing seems to be line of sight, if they see you they get angry
^this
Yeah their massive eyeball is supposed to be the giveaway, but they should at least get an exclamation mark above their head, like metal gear
Been a while since I saw a tower start small at the bottom
They get mad if you are front of them but stay blue when you hit them out of sight
I think the slimes get mad if you are in their line of sight at some range aswell.
that is honestly not much different, a bit rough imo

@@KevinMcEl play the game yourself, see how terribly the paddles respond to your commands, then get back to me.
