@@davidblack7184 thanks for your thoughts. In my humble opinion, I don’t really think it makes that much of a difference being in tapwater for just a few minutes. I am curious though, do you keep our old water refrigerated so that you can thaw shrimp? It is important that very cold Water is used for defrosting purposes.

You should not use tap water ! It has way to many chemicals in it . Rodi are some tank water.
