I love those headlights! I have a 06 Monte Carlo SS & I was thinking about getting the same headlights!
What kind of headlights are those?
Right after I bought my 06 with 63k on it I re did the trans and it had a lot of wear on the plates. Put a shift kit in it and it made a huge difference
Yea those trans’ were just waaaay to weak from factory. People would after like 50k 60k miles have to replace them over and over. I just didn’t even want to bother so I sent the trans to a guy who specializes in them and he did an astounding job.
What does a shift kit do?

@@SS_Nest definitely had an 06 and at 51k Transmission went out got a new one and 10k later it went out again….traded it after that i loved that car!!!
I have heard alot of the front drive LS cars the transmissions couldnt take the abuse from the V8.
Yeah, they 100% do not in any way. None stock configuration, you’re lucky to get 30-40k out of the transmissions.
That's strange every monte ss I've had has had a oil pressure Gauge stock

Don't do the cold air intake. It exposes you pcm and tcm to a lot of extra heat!!

My 06 impala ss plugs 1 and 7 foul every 2000 miles.. filled with oil . I have to watch the oil always low
Do the valve cover upgrade. The stock 1 has the pcv port right on top of the pushrod so every time it shoots oil it get sucked through the intake. Thus oil consumption
Can you put an impala six speed trans in the MC SS?

The stock transmission on those cars sucks. You gotta upgrade the transmission. Stop rebuilding that bs
how much was the rebuild?
It’s been over 3 years since I got the trans rebuilt but I think it was $2,500 ish because I wasn’t the one who rebuilt it and opted for a lower gear set. Along with a hardened input shaft and better internals that stock.
@@SS_Nest how many miles you sitting at? I got a 07 ss w 145k on it but need a new transmission, is it worth it?? Could I get to 200k+??
@@elvisrueda1856 man bro you gotta change that transmission screen. Most of the time people don’t change them. Cars are hella sensitive and a rebuild will be expensive now due to inflation

How much miles does it have
When I bought it in 2018, it had about 120,000 on it and was completely stock, as in engine and trans. Now its got about 132,000 on it with everything I did to it.
