Morphy is a true gentleman, always giving a winning chance to his opponents to make it a fair play. Andersson is also a trur gentleman, he never took those chances and relied on his own to win or lose.
When you say unlimited time does that mean that if you are not a real gentlemen about it this could turn into a duel? Actually are there any chess duels? Like you took to much time and have no honor, fetch the rapiers and dueling pistols!

I become completely stumped with Anderson's openings it seems he builds himself into completely blocked positions on purpose. These guys are so far over my head it hurts (my head).
I remember some time ago Morphy saga beat Karpov saga in the polls and I haven’t watched an Agad video (until now hehe). Since this is his match against Anderssen it must be close to its end😅.
...about the game, watching it for a second time .. I have to ask ; ...this winning line for Anderssen, it is not really forced, is it ? What if Morphy plays Rook c2 instead of Rb2 - how does white untangle then while still keeping winning chances ? I dont see it , but I dont have an engine at my disposal ... HELP
Agad if we alternate white-black-white-black and assume having white is an advantage then whoever has white first is never behind. By alternating white-black-black-white-white the lead will switch back and forth, which is a fairer structure. The same structure is used for serving points in tennis tiebreaks for the same reason, to alternate the opportunity to lead.
You people who are thumbs-downing a chess analysis, what's up with that? Who would do such a thing? (Maybe Agadmator's competitors?) I can't imagine doing that to any chess reviewer, even one who does nothing more than state the obvious and say "uh" after every two words. Agadmator explains the rationale behind nearly every move, and only very rarely fails to explain one that I wish he had. Furthermore, he provides all this information with wit and humor entertainingly -- which the other commentators don't. What possible complaint could anyone have that would justify a thumbs-down?
Anderson is always close to winning. When Morphy does some blunder he's got chance to win but somehow he couldn't see it. I love Morphy but at the same time I feel sad for Anderson.
Hi Antonio, I love your channel. Please tell me how you manage to speak English so well? You speak as though you're a native speaker yet you're from Croatia.
This is game 8. While recording I thought it was game 7. Hence the confusion. Next video is game 7! Enjoy your day :)
And that is the good stuff
All fine
Looks like you blundered an entire game 😂😂😂
I really just came to comments to write about this! Relieved now!!
Keep it up! Loyal subscriber here!

Yesterday on Lichess someone pointed out that I missed taking their queen and offered me a take back to capture it. 😳
No, I don’t buy this that Morphy would be giving such chances to his opponents on purpose. But they were both gents - this I can agree on.
If that makes you a gentleman, I must be ghandi :P
@@olasek7972 I think it was a joke but tbh I'm not sure either. If the comment wasn't a joke, I do agree with you.

Probably one of the best series in UA-cam!
But it hasn’t ended as they are in heaven playing right now.
All good things must come to an end! :')
Any idea how many games are left?
It's funny how sometimes quiet king moves can be brilliant moves and other times they are fatal mistakes...
True. And given any list of potential king moves I will certainly always pick the only bad one. So I have something in common with Morphy today. 🙂
Morphy doesn’t blunder, rather today’s engines are simply not strong enough yet.
Super
Morphy is so good at chess even his blunders are incredible

"if you are a true gentleman."
Damn. You didnt have to call out Lowenthal and Harrowitz like that lmao.
And Paulsen
And duke Carl with coun ISuard

Something I will surely take advantage of next time Morphy's ghost shows up at my house for a game.

Dunking on our good friend Johann Jacob is gonna be something I really miss when the Morphy Saga is over

this is better than most other chess videos coming on different channels here and there...
Man you had us at the beginning 😂 i thought morphy will lose
I'm so thankful for the good stuff.
Thanks for these videos Antonio, I really enjoy them
Boy oh boy I don't hope this Morphy guy stops playing chess and has no comparable success in any other field.
Just send him an email telling him to not stop playing chess. Maybe he'll listen to you.
I’m pretty sure he runs a meme page on Facebook
I wonder how long it took Anderssen to realize that he missed his chance after this game ended.
i bet he found out straight after when he bumped into löwenthal on his way to the whisky bar

Anderssen truly is the fitting final boss for this saga. Lovin' the chess he plays, amazing games

I'm never fast enough to lower volume before the HELLO EVERYONE! xD Apologies to my family for the late night salutation.
Wow. Chess is so amazing. Thank you Antonio, you rule.
"So check it out if you haven't already". Agad, are you trying to insult me?
Morphy probably realized that Kf7 was a blunder right after he played it, then a move later went Kg7 in relief xD
Well, you just know that if Morphy had been a colonel, he would have played Kfc.

You get the idea that Anderssen is Barnes with a somewhat developed positional sense. Honour the Barnes...
