this song is like eight years old. this would have been written before CYE formed, or shortly there after. I agree though, this dude needs to be making music.
For all you interested, Shane is in a new band called These Days and on his real facebook there are collabs with other bands as well (: Shane really needs to do some more CYE stuff, from what I see he is kinda in the more dark alley at this moment
You can see he have scream way to much while being in CYE. You can hear his voice shaking when he sing low :P still one of the song writer that i know. he will always put his hearth on the table on every project he will do and thats what make him an amazing dude.
His voice couldn't hold up to being on tour all the time, and it burnt out. Basically the worst thing that could happen to a lead vocalist, but Mikey, the new front guy, isn't too shabby and holds his own.
I wonder how badly his voice is really burnt out... Maybe he could still do some acoustic stuff in the future. It wouldn't affect his voice like the Close Your Eyes songs would. I just want this guy making music again.. arggh.
why doesnt victory records just sign Shane Raymond as a solo artist and let him make music like this and continue letting Close Your Eyes make music with a new vocalist? Seriously, fuck music labels just signing people because they think theyll make money instead of based on talent.
