Man I've never been religious but this never stopped me from being one of my favorite bands growing up, their albums helped me through so much. I appreciate them and if they ever came back I know I would be surrounded by equal fans to welcome their return. 2020 needs you guys....

I have seen them 4 times and he performs EXACTLY like this. I love it. They aren't holier-than-thou. They are REAL. They've helped me through so much. I'm privileged to have gotten to get on stage with them.

Thank you Close Your Eyes for giving hope when there was none. You guys have collectively written some of the most personal and passionate lyrics I have ever heard and been able to connect with. I wish Shane and the rest of the band all the luck in whatever they choose to do.

Sometimes you listen to a band and their album and have to pick and choose, there are songs you love, songs you like and some that are just filling the album... Close Your Eyes don't make songs you like, they make every song on every album a song you will love.
i love how everyone is barely getting into them... they deserved this much recognition on their first album too
I saw them about 3 weeks ago, it was their first show with Mikey and it was still amazing. This band has a lot of heart. I will miss Shane but they can still keep going!

Bad stuff about Close your Eyes is that my home theater dont seems to play loud enough :( Shane is totally a beast to write stuff like that and scream it like his life was depending on it. No idea why this band always bring tears to my eyes. Probably cus its to deep and beautiful hahaha :P

the new lead singer doesn't suck the lyrics just don't have the heart in them anymore shane's lyrics always made me cry of joy but the new guy lyrics are great to sing along to but its just not the same

Shane didn't quit. The stress on his vocal chords, and life issues brought him away. I mean, being a fan, you couldn't possibly expect countless days of touring to not take a toll on a voice like this. I've got no bad blood with him. I will miss him though.
I'm still listening to this and even today it helps me out. Wow.

Is crazy how during my teenage years I was listening to all those underground bands and never had no one to talk about them (close your eyes, demon hunter, red city radio, stick to your guns, Hart in Hand P.O.D. - I know some of them aren’t that underground but yet was a non ordinary taste in music)

Who writes the lyrics? Is it just Shane? I love them. I also love how passionately he performs. You can tell these guys really have their heart in the music. Its nice to see a band thats in it to help people get through tough experiences. Theres way too many kids out there who have been warped by modern society & who feel hopeless. This band strives to change that. Instant respect for these guys. Great music, better lyrics. Love.

Well I totally get you. You want the old form and you are not fond of the new guy just because he is the outsider. It's not the band you used to know anymore. But if you try just to listen as if you are listening to them for the first time in your life (like me that I just found out about the band thanks to that song) you ll notice that the guy is awesome. Great voice
