    How much do I trim for GMRS Channel 19 I no longer have the sheet for it.

    • @Soladaddy
      @Soladaddy  4 місяці тому

      I can't find the sheet either, but the chart had lengths in 5MHz increments. The BR-450 is very broad so cutting for 465MHz will cover all of the GMRS freqs, even Ch19 - 462.650 and repeater 19 - 467.650.

      @@Soladaddy I don't have repeaters on my radios I have the Midland MXT 90 and MXT 105 5 watt Mobile Radios.So I don't think they go to 465 MHZ.

      @@jamesblack449 If both radios only have channels 1-7 and 15-22, then yes, those channels are in the 462MHz area. Channels 8-14 use 467MHz freqs and if using a repeater on 15-22, the transmissions sends out 5MHz higher, but receive on the same 462MHz.

    I don't trust your swr meter lol! My Browning SWR'S were horrible on those frequencies! I am using a Grand master SWR meter.

      A second meter backup the first reading. Granted they are not high end devices, but they agreed.

    My instructions said to measure from the center of the center loading coil to bottom of whip.
    I tried trimming mine and now my antenna is useless for everything
