Shout out to all of us out here who understand that therapy isn’t for everyone and therapy isn’t a cure-all. Also, a mention to the corrupt therapists out there. There are a lot. Don’t feel ashamed or alone if the only answer you get to any problem you have these days is to seek therapy. There are other ways to overcome and therapy is definitely not the magic potion it’s made out to be AT ALL. I know it’s taboo to say that therapy isn’t for everyone, but it isn’t and for all of you that know what I mean, you’re not alone.
The best part of this film is the relationships. They are crafted so lovingly. Will and Sean and the way they help each other through their trauma. Will and Skylar and the silly little scenes (like the first kiss) that sound on paper like they'd never work, but when watched feel so personal and intimate. It builds the relationship so much faster when you see them doing the weird shit you remember doing with your significant other 16 years ago. But not just that but Sean and Gerald, Will and his friends. The character building is immaculate. The other great point is there is no villain. Most films would have the problem be mathematical. Will overcomes his demons with Sean's help. Proves the mean professor wrong and breaks the equation and wins the girl as reward. In this film everyone just wants what's best for Will. As misguided as Gerald is he ultimately isn't looking for vicarious success through him. He just wants to help Will be more than Gerald can be. The villain ultimately is Will himself. The low is Will trying to push all of the help away. The triumph is Will not winning the girl but taking the risk in trying to win the girl. That there is why this film is perfect. No cartoonish evil. No calamitous event. Just a real person interacting with real people
I do think the villain is (are) the people who abused Will and one of the triumphs is his *accepting* that all of that wasn't his fault and he can overcome the scars. But you're absolutely right about all the other triumphs and how human everyone is.
Your commentary on this, talking about you and your wife's relationship and analyzing the movie, was just as beautiful as the film. Truly my favorite reaction I've seen to this movie. Thanks for a great one, my friend. I'm so glad you liked it as much as I do.
Wonderful reaction. This movie will always be one of my absolute favorites. I’m a therapist and Robin was just so very amazing, and earned every bit of the Oscar that he received for this. Being a therapist is hard work, but it’s very rewarding to help people learn how to heal themselves. Matt and Ben had such a great grasp of this, at such young ages. This movie is as close to perfect for me as it gets!
Thank you thank you. I hope you're taking good care of yourself. It is very hard work indeed. I couldn't even imagine. Absolutely, I didn't see anything wrong with this movie at all. Everything had me smile and ear to ear
I like how Matt’s, Ben’s and Casey’s career all took different directions even the dude that plays rip in Yellowstone he was born to play a cowboy I’m glad he finally found his perfect role
What a pleasure this channel is to me! I have to say your reactions have been great…but your story about you and your wife (talking with friends, etc.) was an incite filled little glimpse of who you are and I loved it. This movie is amongst my top 5 favorite of all time. I can’t even begin to describe how REAL this movie feels, I’ve never seen “actors acting”. I’ve always seen this as a REAL thing that film makers just happen to record. The colors, setting, themes, score, cinematography, acting. It was all perfectly thought out, I may dig too deep within this film but there’s so much more than a surface level smart guy therapy movie if you really look. Robin F****** Williams. Rest in peace. His role in this film is unmatched. I cry almost every time he’s on screen talking about his wife in any scene.

My 1st time watching you react, Outstanding comes to mind. Sharing your life during the movie was powerful, connecting with us is part of the reaction. Love it.
Watching movies with you is like watching a movie with a wonderful new young friend. Much respect and I say love to you from an old great grandma in Alaska.
Robin Williams was always a favorite of mine. I love him in this, Hook, Dead poets society, Mrs Doubtfire, Patch Adams, The birdcage and so many more gems. 💜
I really loved Robin Williams. He was a staple of my childhood. I was devastated to think that he was that sad. I found out several years after his passing that he had a disease called Lewy Body Syndrome. It's kind of a mixture between Parkinson's and dementia. He was really young for it & it was going to go really bad. The dementia had started so he made a decision. His family made a statement to that effect. That actually gave me some comfort.
I just found your channel today. I am binge watching as many as I can. Watching your reactions is taking me back to the first time (many years ago) that I saw the movies. Please don't apologize for anything because your reactions are touching lives/minds of people that you may never get to meet...but we are here! ☺🥰
What a classic. The park bench scene & that final break through scene get me every time. Welcome to Robin Williams. He is tremendously missed, but we are so blessed to have his movies, his art that he put so much of himself in. I think everyone’s recommending their favorite Rob Williams films, but just to name my own favorites: Dead Poets Society, What Dreams May Come, Patch Adams. But honestly, you can’t go wrong with anything he’s been in.
❤😭🤯That's one of my all-time faves.Robin Williams was one of the best ever! They must've done a lot of the shooting in Boston. I've lived here all my life & everything about it was so realistic
Such a good movie with the always wonderful Robin Williams (RIP), and received much deserved Oscars for Original Screen Play, and Best Supporting Actor.
This movie never gets old to me because it is such a sort of timeless message, especially for the time it came out. There is a reason Matt and Ben won an Oscar for that screenplay and it is wild to me that they wrote that at such a young age. An excellent and thoughtful reaction. I wish more folks, especially other men, would get your level; being able to communicate and experience these types of stories can be very healing for those hurts we have experienced. Man or woman its all good lessons that make us better people and that make living through these somewhat overwhelming times far less trying.
Hi! Actually Matt and Ben won the Oscar for best original screenplay for this movie. The clip when they won is so cool and Robin Williams was so proud of them. Also Robin Williams won the Oscar for best supporting actor. Great movie.
One of my favorites. So much emotion, so many valuable life lessons… Robin Williams had some great roles in his career, but this one’s my personal favorite.
Chuckie is my favorite "movie friend". A lot of people would've written him as this dumb, obnoxious guy who means well but unknowingly holds Will back. In this movie, he pushes Will to make a good life for himself and to not waste his potential even if it means moving away from them. That's a true friend.
Hey man just for you to know, I think you are awesome and have some especial kind of flavor of positivity and wisdom that really resonated with me, keep cool and strong man, I’m sending some love energy from Brazil for you my guy.🤝

Also you have such a relaxing voice i could literally listen to you talk about anything for hours, so few amazing reaction channels and i just found another hidden gem!.
Did you notice how Robin calls Matt "chief" at the beginning of the film and calls him "son" at the end. Damon and Affleck won an oscar for the script and Robin Williams won Best Supporting Actor
26:42 Robin Williams improvised half of it. The used to have one of those script to screen videos for this scene up here on UA-cam. He took the beautiful writing they had on the page and just ran with it. Made it his own.
To me, the story is about Will, a young man that was abandoned and abused and never learned how to love. A man that needed a father. Sean was counterpart, a man that fell in love, got married and tragedy struck before he could become a father. Through the therapy sessions, they both realized they could learn from each other and in the end they became father and son. Oh, and that final drive, that is I-90, the MassPike. It is an amazingly beautiful drive west of Springfield to the border with NY. A perfect way to end the movie.
This film started a filming renaissance in Massachusetts. It put Damon and Affleck on the map. It made the Boston Accent cool. It’s amazing screenplay (both with dialogue and story telling), paired with great direction, and arguably Robin Williams’ (God rest his soul) best acting performances of his career, makes an amazing film. Frank, love your reactions. I enjoy your thoughtful commentary, your personal stories as relatable connections to what you are watching, and your voice and manner of speaking is so calming and paced. P.S. I love your artwork style.

I’m very sentimental and emotional and so many things about this movie just capture bittersweet and nostalgic feelings for me. Robin Williams is an amazing actor.
So far, I think this is my favorite one of your reactions. It really is amazing to see it play out where somebody’s soul actually takes over and gets through the technical part of the mind. Finding how the two connect is something you don’t see so beautifully done in a movie. If I remember, right, I believe Ben Affleck and Matt Damon wrote this movie together as their first big collaboration. Job well done. What you said about finding the right person resonates so much. My husband of eight years suffered a cardiac arrest last summer. He literally died in front of me After mowing the front yard. He collapsed right in front of me and I had to do CPR. Even EMS worked on him all the way to the hospital and after a week on a ventilator he had surgery and he came out of it OK. he had a 95% blockage we did not know about. He is 100 % his old self. Thank God for the miracle, now. we have more time together. I hope people realize not to take it for granted when they find their one true love. I never did ,but I cry more at sad movies now but that’s OK. If all the bad relationships and terrible things in my life happened, so I was trained for this one day, where I could save him, then it was worth it.
"Moonlight" is a very different story to "Good Will Hunting" but with the same character growth with no real "villain" but the self and the relationships that the main character is influenced by. Great movie to watch next.
Matt Damon and Ben Affleck grew up together in Boston. They had big dreams and wrote and sold this script and starred in it together. Amazing talents. Robin Williams was diagnosed with a brain disease that was shutting down his ability to speak and remember. He didn't want to slowly disappear so while he still had the ability to end the suffering he did so.
Thoroughly enjoyed watching this movie with you, I love your banter, your insights, and your ability to read the room, really really enjoyable, thank you. FYI, the movie was written By Affleck and Matt and in my opinion, is one of the best all-time movies, it has everything and feels so real. Robin Williams as the therapist, was the icing on the cake.
I appreciate that. I try. I want you all watching to enjoy the reaction as much as I'm enjoying the movie I'm watching. I agree 1 of the best all-time movies. And to be honest, I literally can't imagine another actor doing a better job as the therapist, icing on the cake💗💗
It is such a remarkably well written film by Damon and Affleck - especially when you realize how young they were. Their Oscar for writing was well-earned. And Robin Williams was born for this role - another well-deserved Oscar. That monologue in the park is epic and so well crafted. One of my favorite films. Damon did excellent early work in this and ij Courage Under Fire in a supporting role. It's easy to forget sometimes how good he was in the pre-Bourne days. Obviously, he was also great in The Departed.
Ben & Matt's writing was masterful. GWH received nominations in nine categories, including Best Picture and Best Director, and won in two: Best Supporting Actor for Williams and Best Original Screenplay for Affleck and Damon 👏
Another excellent reaction! I’m glad you are watching these movies at a point in your life where you can truly appreciate the storylines. That’s what makes a good movie great imo.

@@koristrange9655 love Bicentennial Man! Robin's comedy roles are always a fun watch, but his serious roles are the so well done. Awakenings and Dead Poet Society are also ones I love.
This is my new favorite movie🧡Thank you for watching🙏🏾

Just a real person interacting with real people
I didn't think I could love this movie anymore but your analysis just did that for me. You're so right
This was brilliantly written
I do think the villain is (are) the people who abused Will and one of the triumphs is his *accepting* that all of that wasn't his fault and he can overcome the scars. But you're absolutely right about all the other triumphs and how human everyone is.
Your commentary on this, talking about you and your wife's relationship and analyzing the movie, was just as beautiful as the film. Truly my favorite reaction I've seen to this movie. Thanks for a great one, my friend. I'm so glad you liked it as much as I do.
You'll definitely enjoy Robin in "Dead Poets Society"
I already know I will. It's very high on my list
It was a beautiful beginning for them. Love to see it
Cole Hauser plays Rip on Yellowstone. It was great to rewatch this movie after finding out that he was in this.
What a pleasure this channel is to me! I have to say your reactions have been great…but your story about you and your wife (talking with friends, etc.) was an incite filled little glimpse of who you are and I loved it. Keep up the awesome work. It’s really more important than people unfamiliar would think.
What a pleasure having someone like you part of my community here💜 I’m glad that sharing parts of my personal life in these videos have a positive impact. Thank you so much for acknowledging that.
So important indeed. I wish that for a lot of people.
That scene at the pond!! ❤
Matt and Ben deserved the Oscar and Robin Williams deserved the moon and the stars. I miss him 😢.
I am so happy you loved this movie and you related to it on a personal level! And I am so happy that you have a good woman by your side! I love Love. And this movie reaction! And puppies. 🐶
Absolutely this movie was everything. Oh Robin❤ He does deserve the moon and stars.
Thank you so so much for your kind words. Very heartwarming 🐈⬛🐈⬛🐈🐈🐕🐕🐩🐩
Matt Damon and Ben Affleck wrote this movie together.
Their story is so beautiful
@@FrankFreezy_ with script punchups from Kevin Smith I think it's worth noting as film trivia
Them receiving an Oscar with their respective mothers as their +1 is very wholesome!
@@snidefultodd Kevin Smith denied changing any of the script. He just convinced Weinstein to green light the movie.
@@CraigKostelecky Then I must have heard an interview before he humbled himself a little because he definitely made it sound like he put in work
This movie is amongst my top 5 favorite of all time.
You're probably my favorite reaction channel around, man. Not because of what you react to, but how you are as a person. And I love hearing your insights and breakdowns of everything. About to watch this right now and I can't wait to see what you think about it. It's a fantastic film. Hope you're doing well dude!
You're freaking awesome. Thanks for saying that✌🏾❤ I'm all good fam. Hope the universe is treating you great as well
This movie is so damn quotable.
I adore this reaction. I can tell by the scenes that you chose to include in this cut that you really understood and felt the story of this film.
I appreciate you so much. This is such a unique compliment. I always try to include all the little important scenes that makes the story what it is, not just the most popular scenes. Good to see someone appreciates that🧡
@@FrankFreezy_ Thank you. I appreciate your attention to detail. 🥰
Hi Frank. I don´t know you, this was my first time seeing a reaction of you, but...wow! I´ve seen tens of reactions to this beautiful, impactful movie and I find yours the best in many ways. I could write a lot, but I´ve noticed others did already 😊, so just this: congrats with your heartfelt comments and great spot-on insights, with your predictions (!), with your personal stories (to the point), with your smooth way of talking, with understanding and pointing out almost every message in this fantastic movie that (probably) has helped/changed many people (I can tell). And with your paintings 😉.
Thanks, greetings from Koen, a 58 year old (young 😅) man from Belgium. Subscribed.

I'm so happy you finally watched this and even more you loved it. This movie is incredible and Robin Williams' acting was amazing. Great reaction Frank, have a great week
That is so sweet thanks. This was everything. Have a great week yourself💜
Losing a genius like Robin will never be a loss
I absolutely loved your reaction to this beautiful movie.
My 1st time watching you react, Outstanding comes to mind.
Sharing your life during the movie was powerful, connecting with us is part of the reaction. Love it.
That's wonderful my friend. Thank you so much. Hopefully the first of many

What dreams may come. You liked this film, you will like what dreams may come. Brilliant story, brilliant acting.
What Dreams May Come is such a beautiful film!
You were absolutely right. I loved that movie. I just posted it on my channel
@@FrankFreezy_ so glad you watched it. I feel it’s such an underrated film
Robin Williams also plays a therapist in the movie Dead Again. Another fabulous, talented cast.
You should totally see "I am Sam" with Sean Penn. It has a young Dakota Fanning. You will cry your eyes out.
Robin Williams was always a favorite of mine. I love him in this, Hook, Dead poets society, Mrs Doubtfire, Patch Adams, The birdcage and so many more gems. 💜
Awakenings
He’s awesome. I will add some of these to my list.
One of the best movies EVER!!!
Yessur
This has to be one of my favorite films ever. Will is a pretty relatable character in a lot of ways, just haven’t done the therapy yet.
Great movie, lots of memorable lines, lots of emotion. Great reaction! ❤
Absolutely this movie is one of those ones. Thank you for watching😊😊
Hi! Actually Matt and Ben won the Oscar for best original screenplay for this movie. The clip when they won is so cool and Robin Williams was so proud of them. Also Robin Williams won the Oscar for best supporting actor. Great movie.
I'm in my 70s, so I've seen a full life portion of movies, and this one floats around in my top 5 of all time. I was sure you would love it! ♥
That's a true friend.
this was a joy to watch had a smile on my face the whole time i really love how genuine the connections are between people in this movie
i love your videos so much. nothing is TMI. love this channel so much man
I appreciate that! You’re awesome🙏🏾💜
Hey man just for you to know, I think you are awesome and have some especial kind of flavor of positivity and wisdom that really resonated with me, keep cool and strong man, I’m sending some love energy from Brazil for you my guy.🤝
Thanks for saying that. I can feel the same vibe from you as well🙏🏾🧡 much love fam
59:17 - I could replay Robin Williams saying "Good luck, son" over and over.
For real. Those are some healing words.
Great reaction 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾. This movie is in my top ten all time.
Thank you🥳🥳 It's definitely up there in mine as well. See you on the next one
Wonderful hearing your reflections about expectations in relationships and connecting it to the movie. Gave me a lot to think about myself. Thank you.
I love your take on so many movies, especially this one, because it's one of my all-time favorites. Thank you for sharing your experience watching this wonderful movie.
Thank you for saying that. Lately I’ve been watching some of the best movies I’ve ever seen in my life and this one brought so much joy to my heart.
So glad i found this channel, after watching your signs and Arrival reactions i subbed immediately.
Your commentary is so intelligent and insightful! you don't just watch a film, you fully absorb it.
I did not notice. That is such a beautiful detail🧡 that’s awesome
I love your perspective on both of them and why they needed each other
This film started a filming renaissance in Massachusetts.
Yeah I'm busting accent was thick and I loved it. Yes everything about this movie was perfect to me. Gratitude my friend. I love that you enjoy all these things about my channel. Happy to have you here.
I was in that park in Boston last year and there's a plaque on that bench commemorating this scene.
This is a great film. A real roller coaster ride. I appreciate that you put yourself out there on some films that evoke heavy emotions.
A great film indeed. And thanks for saying that. I enjoy it a lot. Always learn so much from the films and also the comment section

I just discovered your channel when you reacted to the first episode of Interview with the Vampie, which i'm completely obsessed with! Love your demeanor and your insights. Something so chill and honest about you. Looking forward to watching more of your reactions.
Good Will Hunting is one of my favourite movies. It's so raw and real. Some unforgettable scenes and dialogue.
Can't wait to see more of your Interview with the Vampire reactions. The storytelling, characters and world building in that show are just incredible - just try not to be too hard on Lestat, he's carrying a lot of trauma too 😄
I’ve seen no less than a dozen reactions to this movie. This is by far the best. I am an instant fan and definitely subscribe.
You’re freaking awesome. Thank you for the high praises. I’m glad you enjoyed it.
It's not real difficult for us. LOTS us love watching movies with you, and so you don't have to applaud us much. You're just honest, sharing and caring, vulnerable, thankful, humble and appreciative. We know the movie!! At least most of us and so it's easy coming back.😊
Ha... that's the best sponsor to a video I've ever seen, my guy! Brilliant Franky mate! Great reaction man! I obviously love the relationship with him and his therapist but for me... The relationship with his friends is so unsaid, so loyal, fun and strong no matter what! What a script by the two lads Affleck and Damon! They deserved the Oscar for this!
I am really glad to come upon this reaction. I must say it was a very sensitive and intelligent reaction which really added to this movie. Wonderful.
Much love. Thank you
GREAT REACTION!!! I am very meticulous about my coins. But your honest reactions have forced me to be a patreon of yours!! I'm a fan. Thank you so much for your honesty and transparency!!
haha let's go. Many thanks many thanks. Your coins will be put into good use🧡 I appreciate you watching leaving this comment
This reaction made me cry. I forgot how hard this movie hits.
My heart is with you. This movie is definitely a tough one. I'm surprised I didn't cry while watching this movie. I think I was just more excited and impressed by how good to the story was
@@FrankFreezy_ thank you so much for responding to me!! I didn’t expect that and it means a lot! You may not have cried, but you still loved it and it had an impact on you.
Your art is beautiful, made me tear up even, especially that potrait with the two black women. Keep doing your work brother!
Wow. That is lovely my friend. Thank you so much for the appreciation🫡 💜
"Moonlight" is a very different story to "Good Will Hunting" but with the same character growth with no real "villain" but the self and the relationships that the main character is influenced by. Great movie to watch next.
Love this video! Michael did, too!
Thank you both🧡❤️
Matt Damon and Ben Affleck grew up together in Boston. They had big dreams and wrote and sold this script and starred in it together. Amazing talents.
Robin Williams was diagnosed with a brain disease that was shutting down his ability to speak and remember. He didn't want to slowly disappear so while he still had the ability to end the suffering he did so.
Wow, thanks man. That was the most interesting and engaging movie reaction I’ve ever watched. I love how real you are. Hope you have a great week.
Thank you for sharing your reaction with me. I was impressed with your insights upon first viewing.
My pleasure! Thank you for watching along with me❤️
I was so happy when I saw that you were watching this movie, I knew you would love it! ☺️
You were right❤️I absolutely adore this film
I loved this reaction!! You made my night! Thank you for sharing. :)
You are so welcome! Thanks for watching💜🧡
One of the best reactions to this, that I've seen (IMO). Well done! 👍
Wow, thank you! And thanks for watching
“What do you tell a man who knows everything?” That was a bar! Love your channel!
Such a beautiful film. It seems to get better over time, like a good wine.
