I just watched the final episode TDOS and wow, this actually falls into place. Sketch Pad goes through the portal in TDOS and ends up in the nightly manor. Thats why he always mentions about the recovery centers and stuff like that. It makes so much sense now.

Here are some things you might’ve missed in this video: 1. Bamboo dies (you can see his corpse at the bottom right side of the screen at 1:42 - 1:43) 2. Sketchpad was either THE meteor or he was inside the meteor because when speaker finds him, he is in a large crater. 3. Some thieves broke into Heart’s museum stole stuff, and burned it down. After this, Ring became the owner of the museum, rebuilt it, and tried protecting it as hard as she can because that’s (probably) the last thing Ring has of Heart.
This might sound sad, but I understand and relate to Ring in this scenario. I have seen fire get this bad before in a forest. Anyway, I like that even though Ring hardly gets screen time, has a backstory that connected all the other characters story. Also, lovely animation.

Spoilers for the daily object show so in the daily object show on like the 6th season if you watched it bomb spat out sketchpad after all that happened, and the creator also made a video of jr toast teaching sketchpad the ropes and how to talk and whatnot so thats where he was originally
this song makes me so emotional, especially the last few lines. We usually see fire/embers as powerful or deadly, esp in a forest-type setting, a fire consumes everything around it hungrily. But then taking that imagery and flipping it on its head by describing an ember being surrounded by snow...removing the fires power and making it no longer this all-powerful force. Taking something perceived as deadly and throwing it in a situation where the snow could easily put it out at any moment...Its easy to imagine the fear and confusion this little ember must feel. Just the line “Lost little ember in the snow” makes me feel so many emotions...and then to apply all of this lyrical imagery to the characters in the animation and Im just completely blown away (Especially because sketchpad is one of my favorites). Kudos to everyone who worked on this, fabulous job!!!

I just realized… im in tears, Spraypaints gang caused the Forrest fire, they lit the bank on fire, then the fire spread, and that’s why Ring is the “small little ember” cause she was the one who escaped, and everything she once was, is gone. The manor was the best place of her final moments…may she rest in peace, in a better place then she once was. This is an OBJECT SHOW, why is it bringing me tears!?
The bank on fire was shown when Ring was grown up, the forest fire happened when she was younger. The bank on fire will probably be explained in the final episode. I believe that Notepad was the one falling from the sky and caused the fire due to the fact he's seen laying in the middle of a massive crater. It's probably the reason that Panflute hates him so much because the forest fire killed his mom/dad.
watching both allen and fusions recent shorts i think that sketchpad originally came from the place where TDOS takes place in but this is when sketchpad was a baby (Due to him not being able to speak) and that mini toast found him and taught him about a recovery center but at the end of fusions short we see that a red storm occurs. now for allens short, we see that while ring is collecting sticks they walk past a tree with "best mom" written with the heart gem object on it, this maybe shows that they were rings mother, after we're shown the fire that occurs around the characters and we see everyone but sketchpad scared this can mean that maybe sketchpad came from tdos and somehow traveled to tnm place and caused the wildfire (i think some kind of comet crashed into the area) in this short sketchpad looks quite young like a baby, this can mean that the red storm caused him to go from tdos to tnm and that speaker found him and probably raised him or something. (SPOILERS!) Later in tnm after speakes death we see that sketchpad has intrest in making a recovery centre with tophat which can mean that sketchpad probably remembers the mini toast from fusion's short. Thats all i found. (Tell me if you guys find anything)
i cant believe that ring is finally getting some screentime and backstory, this really almost made me cry .. i really love that all the characters and their stories come full circle like this, its really neat !!
Both Fusion and Allen are like, "go check out the others short!' and i found a connection. Allen's short takes place 12 years ago. It appears to be when Speaker and sketchpad met. Notice how in TNM series, sketchpad knows how to speak just fine. But in Fusions short, Toast Mini meets sketchpad, but he's just a baby. He doesn't know how to speak. At the end of Fusion's short, there's a red storm overhead. At the end of Allen's short, sketchpad seems to have just appeared in a comet like crater. It seems like he was somehow transferred in between dimensions, perhaps? Edit: Notice how everyones like: "Why would Sketchpad even bring up BFDI? Recovery centers? Why? It breaks the tense atmosphere!" We see why in Fusions short. ANOTHER EDIT: I JUST NOTICED RIGHT BEFORE THE FIRE IN THIS SHORT THE COMET CRASHES AND THE CRATER HOLDS SKETCHPAD?! ANOTHER NOTHER EDIT: SLOWED DOWN, IT TURNS OUT ITS SKETCHPAD HIMSELF?!

Words cannot describe how much I love object shows that aren't these stupid reality show like things the stereotype is just terrible and it's gotten worse and worse over the years but things like this with the passion and the energy and all the beauty crammed into it It's amazing i hope you Never stop making beautiful things like this amazing works of art that deserve to be shared within the community
in my opinion, i like Inanimate Insanity, the drama really sticking every episode, the more its goes on the more dramatic it becomes.. Especially Season 2 and 3, it's the most coolest object show ever. unlike TPOT, which make no sense with the character personality

I just watched TDOS, now it all makes sense. Where Sketchpad came from, and why he looks different from every other object in TNM. IT ALL MAKES SO MUCH SENSE. I wonder if he still thinks of Mini Toast sometimes.
Wow. I’m trying so hard not to cry watching this. Thanks for giving ring a backstory after she had a nice screen time amount of two minutes before dying. It must have been really traumatizing for her, watching her mom get killed in the forest fire, then having to relive that trauma watching her museum fall, and what’s worse is Spray Paint and Mouse caused the museum fire (with the gang). Also, that was a good backstory for Sketchpad and Speaker. Also, the ‘small little ember’ could mean many things. First, as Ring being traumatized and scarred for life, Sketchpad landing in the tnm world, ect This animation has me in tears. Edit: after watching this many times over, I finally broke yesterday and cried. It’s the first time I watched this animation today and I realized I finally got rid of the sad emotions my mind was carrying after watching this for the first time a week or so ago. I feel so bad for all of the characters in this show… I’ve never seen a more traumatized cast in any show lol Edit number two: Sketchpad crashing into the tnm universe was most likely the reason for the Winter Forest fires, so if whatever was happening in the tdos world (I haven’t really watched tdos) and he wasn’t taken through a portal, then Ring’s mom wouldn’t have died, and Sketchpad and Speaker would have never met. this is emotional in ways i cannot comprehend. After watching The Nightly Manor, my whole body just can't handle something like this. Deaths, and what happens after scares me. It's amazing, and emotional.
I got a theory about sketchpad because it seems like..he came out of nowhere.. Basically in episode 2 where Spray paint and tophat were with sketchpad. Sketchpad mentioned a game where he is the host and they are contestants and he tells them to investigate the body and both of them are confused.. like they never heard this before. Then in episode 3 Sketchpad mentions about Woody.. and then in episode 4 sketchpad makes an recovery center while tophat... seems to not know about RC. And the weirdest thing is when sketchpad says.. "Atleast it didn't explode" It explodes, then the same with the fire.. and it is inspired by BFDI and in this trailer. Sketchpad came from that rock that crashed landed onto earth.. and two.. Two from bfb.. he did the same thing.. and my theory is that... sketchpad is an host.. not just any host...An host with powers. He lost his memory from that through..I think.. also...fire is always near sketchpad.. like happens around him.. alot of fire.. Don't come for me if this is an stretch or if I'm wrong! This is just a theory!

Both Fusion and Allen are like, "go check out the others short!' and i found a connection. Allen's short takes place 12 years ago. It appears to be when Speaker and sketchpad met. Notice how in TNM series, sketchpad knows how to speak just fine. But in Fusions short, Toast Mini meets sketchpad, but he's just a baby. He doesn't know how to speak. At the end of Fusion's short, there's a red storm overhead. At the end of Allen's short, sketchpad seems to have just appeared in a comet like crater. It seems like he was somehow transferred in between dimensions, perhaps?
Edit: Notice how everyones like: "Why would Sketchpad even bring up BFDI? Recovery centers? Why? It breaks the tense atmosphere!" We see why in Fusions short.

in my opinion, i like Inanimate Insanity, the drama really sticking every episode, the more its goes on the more dramatic it becomes.. Especially Season 2 and 3, it's the most coolest object show ever. unlike TPOT, which make no sense with the character personality

I just watched TDOS, now it all makes sense. Where Sketchpad came from, and why he looks different from every other object in TNM. IT ALL MAKES SO MUCH SENSE. I wonder if he still thinks of Mini Toast sometimes.
Wow. I’m trying so hard not to cry watching this. Thanks for giving ring a backstory after she had a nice screen time amount of two minutes before dying. It must have been really traumatizing for her, watching her mom get killed in the forest fire, then having to relive that trauma watching her museum fall, and what’s worse is Spray Paint and Mouse caused the museum fire (with the gang). Also, that was a good backstory for Sketchpad and Speaker.
Also, the ‘small little ember’ could mean many things. First, as Ring being traumatized and scarred for life, Sketchpad landing in the tnm world, ect

Edit: after watching this many times over, I finally broke yesterday and cried. It’s the first time I watched this animation today and I realized I finally got rid of the sad emotions my mind was carrying after watching this for the first time a week or so ago.
I feel so bad for all of the characters in this show… I’ve never seen a more traumatized cast in any show lol
Edit number two: Sketchpad crashing into the tnm universe was most likely the reason for the Winter Forest fires, so if whatever was happening in the tdos world (I haven’t really watched tdos) and he wasn’t taken through a portal, then Ring’s mom wouldn’t have died, and Sketchpad and Speaker would have never met.

I got a theory about sketchpad because it seems like..he came out of nowhere.. Basically in episode 2 where Spray paint and tophat were with sketchpad. Sketchpad mentioned a game where he is the host and they are contestants and he tells them to investigate the body and both of them are confused.. like they never heard this before. Then in episode 3 Sketchpad mentions about Woody.. and then in episode 4 sketchpad makes an recovery center while tophat... seems to not know about RC. And the weirdest thing is when sketchpad says.. "Atleast it didn't explode" It explodes, then the same with the fire.. and it is inspired by BFDI and in this trailer. Sketchpad came from that rock that crashed landed onto earth.. and two.. Two from bfb.. he did the same thing.. and my theory is that... sketchpad is an host.. not just any host...An host with powers. He lost his memory from that through..I think.. also...fire is always near sketchpad.. like happens around him.. alot of fire..
