    Low fat raw vegan ice cream is one of the easiest and most delicious recipes to make at home for family and friends! It's sweet, cold, satisfying, and refreshing on a hot day. It's easy and affordable, and it's even great for athletes/ anyone trying to get more energy on a FullyRaw lifestyle. Four ingredients are all you need to have the perfect treat! Are you ready to taste this delectable delight?!
    Ice Cream Ingredients:
    7-9 frozen bananas
    1 cup raspberries
    1 cup strawberries
    Dash of cinnamon
    Pinch/ piece of vanilla bean
    Directions:
    Freeze your bananas overnight, peeled and placed in a ziploc bag. When ready to make the ice cream, cut them into inch-sized pieces and blend them in a high speed blender like a Vitamix with your cinnamon and vanilla bean. Pour your banana ice cream into the bowl. Rinse your container. Then, blend your strawberries and raspberries and then pour them into the side of your bowl where you have your banana ice cream. Using a spatula, create a swirl of color with the red and white. Plate your ice cream and top with more berries! Savor and enjoy this dreamy deliciousness! :)

    If you cut the bananas into thin slices before you freeze them for a couple days it has a better, more ice cream like frozen consistency!

      Going well. I am now three years vegan. I was raw for 7 months strait, which did help clean my system. I do need cooked food though. I went to eating cooked sweet potatoes, quinoa, lentils and feel much better. I also eat an abundance of healthy greens and fruits. Love this lifestyle! I needed something that I could do for the rest of my lie and I found it.

      You can but it will add a slight bitter taste. Also not everything is raw cinnamon is roasted. It's important not to bee too focused on raw. Bc our bodies can digest alot of plant product too easily. Also if your dibeatic you can not eat that many bananas and need to be careful of your fruit intake bc even fruit sugars can send you over if u eat too many

      Rufy484 you can make this with any frozen fruit. Just blend in a blender or food processor until creamy. Maybe try mango, which is also very creamy! And how about pumpkin, but you need to add sweet fruit to make it sweet, so dates pineapple, perhaps?

      Ice CREAM is made from milk, cream, eggs and sugar. These are combined in the same way as one makes a custard/Crème Anglaise, left to cool then slowly frozen while the mixture is continually agitated. This is not ice cream.

      @fionamurphy7318 9 років тому +2

      Arlyne V it was never frozen to melt in the first place. Its not ice cream she may use it as an alternative but that still doesn't make it ice cream. There is no milk or cream in it therefore its a smoothie or blended bananas strawberries with a vanilla pod to simplify

    • @arlynev9255
      @arlynev9255 9 років тому +2

      +Fiona Murphy Thats what I am saying. Just put it in the freezer to make it an ice cream consistency and it tastes just like vanilla-rasberry ice cream.

    • @fionamurphy7318
      @fionamurphy7318 9 років тому +2

      Arlyne V I don't know how it can be ever thought of as ice cream and it most certainly does not taste like vanilla strawberry ice cream as the essential ingredients that go into making ice cream i.e. dairy products are missing. You can't throw a vanilla pod into blended strawberries and bananas and re name it ice cream. It may be her substitute for ice cream as she thinks dairy is 'bad' for you but ice cream it is not and to call it that is deceptive. Its a smoothie in a bowl rather than a glass

    Day 1 completed & it was so much fun to make this nice cream. I put mine through the ice-cream maker & it turned into a beautiful raspberry/strawberry sorbet - so lovely. Just a tip for those using an ordinary blender - use some coconut water or almond milk so the blender does't burn out. Thanks so much Kristina, bring on Day 2, cheers Narelle

    I will be making this, I do not have a blender that powerful, but I do have a Yonanas machine - that adds an extra level of ice creamy texture. If you are curious what a Yonanas machine is - it's just a mono task kitchen gadget that is a blender with blunt blades specifically designed to turn frozen fruit into an ice cream/ gelato texture. Thanks Kristina - more than your recipes I really appreciate your positivity.

    The best banana ice cream ever!! I've frozen banana before but I can't believe the difference in taste with just adding cinnamon and vanilla!!! It taste just like vanilla ice cream (the cow one) but waay better!! I don't normally buy raspberry but I'm glad I did this because it's just sooo delicious and my daughter helped me it. Btw, first time she eats raspberries and she loves them!

    Ready, set, go. This looks awesome. I will get to it later this week, as it is so cold out today (QC. Canada) I can not imagine doing this recipe. I did try a cold, fully raw soup today instead, and it used up my ripe avocados, so that was a treat. Thanks for all the positive energy here:)
