Why no cleaning?? That’s not a smart choice of the customer… I bet you explained it clear enough though. I also understand newer type hoses have some sort of plant-bases rubber, which is more “attractive” to marters etc then older hoses.
Yep, penny wise and pound foolish is the saying.
You can only advise, if they don’t want it’s up to them, we all no what will happen. Nice work Jimmy.
My father used to have issues with getting fixed up with certain customers after the job was complete although the price was stated before the job was done.
I wouldn't be 1 bit suprised if cost is the reason the job was not properly complete here..
Funny thing is, owner gonna pay more in the long run for not gettin it fully sorted now...🤦🏽
Great explanation. Thanks. Enjoy your day Jimmy.
well done again Jimmy
Hopefully 🤞🤞it's still OK and running. Wouldn't want to live by those odds
Good job Jimmy 👍
So he brought it to you and basically asked you to do half a job? Unreal, except it’s not, I’ve experienced the same sort of thing myself. There’s some really strange people out there.
So, you explained to the customer exactly what needed doing, and why, and the customer then declined the work??
Gets in the expert and then ignores his advice.
Hmm.
It's very likely the engine light came back on after leaving.
Dpf pipes look like they were cut.
Jimmy .
I'm baffled with my bmw n47d20 diesel. It's done 210k miles
The soot level is 88%, with dpf blocked codes. I've purchased the launch cleaner and the gun. I've used 2 full bottles of launch cleaner and it's still reading 88%. There is no soot in the tail pipe and I've bought another differential pressure sensor and exhaust gas pressure sensor. The soot level is still rising with a driver train issue now.
I'm not sure what to do next ? Any advice would be appreciated
False economy thinking you're saving a few quid when the mechanic is right there and able to fix it properly, but such is life.
The pipes looked like they’re been cut deliberate
Incorrect. Have seen it many times. Little teeth chomping.
I have a 2017 Trafic with the check pollution system on. I’ve fitted a new tube that always needs cleaned out and DPF pressures are good. Diagnostics say a missing signal. Was told it was a nox sensor. Would that be right? Cheers.
👍
Are these trafics worth a buy? People always say they have issues, but there’s so many of these and the vibratos on the road 🤔
Utter junk. You never see Jimmy working on a VW do you.
well worth buying a Vivsro. I got myself a Bi-turbo which returns 50mpg when the van is empty and 43mpg when full. Saying that, the engine light is on, i have cleaned out a blocked pipe and still got to clean the EGR valve. 100,000 miles before this fault come on, i am not going to call it a junk van! BTW, was it not VW who created the emissions scam? They didnt want to pay for the Bosch fueling system, so they got their engineers to "cheat" the emissions. Just saying
@@Elwooddudes I’ve been following Jimmy for some time now, and his service proofs that the bigger issue is not the “crappy technology”, but more the lack of knowledge from the manufacturers themselves. And that’s shameful. Mechanical and electrical products always will have there issues, its how you solve them, and more the knowledge why the fault came up, what makes a good/bad product. Most of the fault we see here are solvable with some minor repairs, while most customers have already spend way too much money at dealers (the manufacturer of the products) because of lack of knowledge… then again, this is how the make money/profit, so no incentive for them to change anything…
@@garyherberson8119 doesn’t sound too bad to me! I have a Peugeot expert 2009, which went through a spell of the engine light coming on, I cleaned the egr valve and it’s sorted it self out and has never let me standing at the side of the road!
Maybe it has similar issues as my van, mine doesn’t have a dpf, but it does sounds like a similar deal, which doesn’t bother me too much if they can be cleaned and fixed 👍🏼
What an idiot... why he's with you he should have let you do the regen!!!! Well done Jimmy!
Half a job.??
Should have done a clean while the customer was there. Could cost him far more in the long run.
What's happened to your right ear?
Tike Myson had a bite
@@ORileysAutos hmm...
False economy from the owner. What a cheapskate.
