Always enjoy them. Especially the transmitter set up. Don't change a thing!

Another great video. You guys are the best! I ordered my viva your link. By far the easiest build ever for any Eflight plane. Super easy. The decals do take some planning for placement. I maiden mine this past Saturday no wind, bright sunshine, She flew like she was on rails! I do have one gripe: My flaps servos buzz in landing flaps. After removing and inspecting the servos and funding no problems with the servos. I reinstalled the servos. I thinking the geometry of the linkages may be the problem. I did reduce my flap throughs to pos 1 - 20, pos 2 70. This stopped the buzzing and I didn't loose all that much deflection. Don't know if anyone else has this issue.....
Thanks for buying this beauty from the links!!! If she keeps buzzing, see if you can OVER-DRIVE it for a second, then back it off...if it stops buzzing, then it's just a foam joint stress, that will word out over time. You can unclip the flap and work it up and down a few times to help too, if this seems to be your issue.
That tiny prop though, I am quite in love with my Arrows F4U with scale flaps mod and a 500kv and 50A esc upgrade to swing a 13x6 4 blade on 4S the way a Corsair should. I do like that E-flite fixed the Corsair and left it just blue for us to mod. Nicely flown.

I set mine up as you did. Everything works great , very nice. Something weird. I'm not experienced enough to figure it out but when deploy my flaps , they fully extend and stop. i hear a slight sound coming from the flap servo area kind of like they are still running. Even though the flaps are all the way down. Do you know what would be a common reason for that to happen ? I checked my flap settings on the nx8 and they are all as directed. I'm just lost cause it really flys great.
This means you might be OVER-DRIVING them into the foam, possibly colliding with the pieces of the wing where they extend out? If it's LOUD, you should try to slightly back them off in the FLAP menu, OR you can try to work them even further by millimeters...you know, just bend them DOWN just a bit more, then let go...VERY FAST...like 1 seconds or less. Both flaps. If you do this too long, you might damage the servos. If this doesn't work...just set them to LESS deployment and see if it helps. Also, if it's real quite, it might just be the hing material isn't really broke in just yet. "Exercise" the flaps a bunch of times, if you're concerned...RUN them up and down about 100 times and see if the noise stops, or lessens. If you have better grass than we have, you'll have a very good chance at success, but as with any grass ops, a 1.2m is pretty close to as small as you'd want to use.
I hear that noise all the time, they can drive me crazy sometimes. I got one that likes to perch right next to my window. But Ill bet you guys have plenty of Coyotes out there also.
I'm sure I would! I've only ever had ONE Bearcat, and it was excellent. We would love it if MotionRC would work with us, but to date, they keep saying no, wait, or maybe while we've sold or helped to sell endless amounts of amazing RC gear for OTHER companies. We can't figure out their strategy... Thanks for the tip!
@BrianPhillipsRC that's a shame. I wish they would work with you guys! Yall make such well made and informative videos. Always going above and beyond for your viewers, and I commend you and your family. I'm always excited for a new video!
Start off small I crashed about 10 planes before I really got good and I’m still not great look at the bright side you'll have a lot of parts to repair your next crash 🛩😘❤️🇺🇸
Hey Brian. I hate to say but I am glad you needed to do that repair because I broke the nose off my UMX Turbo Timber and need to glue it back on. I sent a picture to your Instagram. Should I add toothpicks to it or just the glue so that it is flexible if it hits again? I can’t find foam to foam on the web. My local hobby shop has o e left, but I can’t get there till tomorrow.
Brian, usually you take great pains to show how the control surfaces work for AS3X and SAFE. This time you covered SAFE movements, but kind of skipped over the AS3X movement. I'm mentioning this because I have a question about lack of real movement in AS3X only. My version of the Corsair is a BNF the same as the one you reviewed. I have a three position switch, Gyros off, AS3X only, and SAFE. All three modes work, sort of. Gyros off there is no control surface activity as you move the plane, SAFE mode operates exactly as you demonstrated on this video. However, AS3X mode is strange. I can hear the servos twitching as I move the plane around, but there is little detectable motion. Also, the usual gyro menu that you would see if this receiver were a 637T for example is totally missing. Under gyro is only the menu for SAFE settings. No where to set AS3X gain. Any thoughts? Thanks as always for the awesome videos!
If you have the BNF, then you will probably not see much movement. It's small. AFTER giving 25% or more throttle...then throttle cut ON...grab the plane, nose toward your belly, and then spin your whole body and the plane....watch the rudder. It should move the direction you're spinning the tail, so as to attempt to PREVENT the movement you're inducing. Then do the opposite direction. Look down the length of the plane. Watch close. It's subtle.
I know you have the skills to fix it, but darn, one tip over and the rudder broke. My p51 1.2 flipped over all the time and never broke 😆. They need to make it stronger.
Best Rc cannel for lot of plains. How many plains do you think you built and fly it in your carrier as Rc Pilot? And witch plain do you remember still as your best first plan? Great videos, thanks allso to the camera crew. Swiss Alps flyer
I love too many planes to mention. For me, it's all about the most recent 10 or so planes, but I always come back to the Carbon Cub SS 2.1m and this sort of big plane.
How you get by on the batteries amazing, don’t know how many times I have lost the battery and barely made it in . I cut the head off of a fine steal finish nail down through my tails to reinforce the strength. Before I fly.
Brian, love the Corsair I just got thanks to your video. One question, in future videos would it be possible to export your radio settings to a link? I followed this video the best I could but you go through it so fast. And this plane is new enough that spektrum doesn't have a template from what I can see. Thanks keep up the good work

Hi Brian sorry for all the questions. In your video I didn’t see how you set up reverse thrust. Maybe I missed it. But can you explain or point me at what point in your video you demonstrated how to set it up. I have a DX9 spektrum. Thank you
Brian- you said you had to go full Left on rudder-but it looks like you had it full right ? I'm on my 4th flight now. !st 2 were hairy ! 3rd -took my retracts off--This plane torques on ground to left I believe right ?
I have a question, I have gotten myself my first rc plane, the habu STS, first flight everything went well, until the approach for landing, flown right into a tree, and now the nose is a little bent to the right, would this affect the aero too much or could I just get it into the air no problem?
You can fly with a bent nose, no problemo, but it'll look pretty bad. Try this... Put the plane over your sink. Put a but of warm water in the microwave for 2-3 minutes (or until it first boils), and with hotpads, grab the cup out and dump it onto the nose...then use your thumbs to FLATTEN the bumps, and grab and twist it straight. You'll be AMAZED how much better you can get it.
When you stick the Velcro (fuzzy side or bumpy side? ) onto the shelf liner and put into the plane, how does the battery stick to the shelf liner? Are you then depending on the straps, to hold the battery in place? Thanks for your help! Al Huth
The shelf liner is "sticky" and the Velcro pulls the battery AGAINST it...then it won't slip. It's like magic...give it a try! Shelf Liner bprc.me/ShelfLiner
You can always count on horizon honlbby to produce beautiful war birds. I got the 1.2 spitfire they made so this is next to go with it now I will have two war birds same scale and company that can dog fight finally. The spitfire is sane way it's like on rails with the as3x keeping it stable that's it and I fly it on 4s and it hauls the mail like this. They will look good flying in formation together with my dad. Wish there was a way to fly two planes with one controller so I can fly Emm both by my self in formation lol. Cool! Thanks ;)
I hear that noise all the time, they can drive me crazy sometimes. I got one that likes to perch right next to my window. But Ill bet you guys have plenty of Coyotes out there also.
Love the warbirds! Thanks for the video!
You're welcome. Love them too!
You gotta check out the motionrc f8f bearcat! I've been eyeing that one. i bet you'd love it!
Hey Brian how about a video of bloopers and crashes no one is perfect so you must have enough for a video. I injoy your vids and info on model set ups
Sorry for the scam reply! We've reported and blocked that account.
I found the issue Brian and placed the order thru your channel
Thanks Gary! We appreciate your support, and glad you found the issue!
Start off small I crashed about 10 planes before I really got good and I’m still not great look at the bright side you'll have a lot of parts to repair your next crash 🛩😘❤️🇺🇸
Awesome flying as always
Thanks!
I'm starting with the inbox first love your vids.
Unbox lol
Thanks Shane!
Wow very nice, thank you.
thanks GBro
I only use tooth picks if it's hard to keep aligned, or needs support. If its' just a nose, you can probably just glue it on, no problemo.
Nice review Brian! Looks like a beaut in the sky!!
It sure does!
Great flying!
Thanks!!!
I love that freakin airplane I grew up on the Black sheep squadron tv show so cool im gonna get one !!!!!
This is my favorite war bird
It's a beauty!!!
Nice plane Brian 👌
Thanks!
I know you have the skills to fix it, but darn, one tip over and the rudder broke. My p51 1.2 flipped over all the time and never broke 😆. They need to make it stronger.
I agree, but I too have the 1.2m P-51 and no issues...just the design of the scale rudder ;(
Best Rc cannel for lot of plains.
Is this the newest F4U? Great plane, one of my favorite
yes, the 1.2m Eflite - sure is!
How you get by on the batteries amazing, don’t know how many times I have lost the battery and barely made it in . I cut the head off of a fine steal finish nail down through my tails to reinforce the strength. Before I fly.
I should have done this on mine!
Challenge Brian. Fly between the power lines inverted 😆
okay, coming up soon - LOL ;)
@@BrianPhillipsRC HeHe 😁 I have faith in ya. 😉
Not sure what did it exactly, but now I want one 😂
Very satisfying flight! Thanks
Brian, love the Corsair I just got thanks to your video. One question, in future videos would it be possible to export your radio settings to a link? I followed this video the best I could but you go through it so fast. And this plane is new enough that spektrum doesn't have a template from what I can see. Thanks keep up the good work
We have been asked before and don't have any plans to do this.
Getting ready for maiden flight, but I noticed on a test bench at full throttle the RPM fluctuates in a very consistent and repetitive cycle.
Are you going to have a crazy amount of corsairs, like you have a crazy amount of mustangs? :P
Not sure...I'd be happy to have a few ;)
Pretty dang impressive on 3S and totally insane on 4S hehe. 🔥 love love love the Corsair 🔥 If you could only buy one which would you choose this or the Arrows ???
Beautiful War bird 🔥 Nice flying Brian 🔥👍
Great job as always Camera Crew 🔥👍✌️
The EFlite choice is better, in this case. Arrows makes a great plane, but this one is a no braner ;)
@@BrianPhillipsRC 👍👍👍✌️
I love the P51D and this F4u but I cannot decide which I will get first. Each has it's positives and negatives, I love the look of the June Nite, and the F4u has gullwings. I will eventually get both but I just can't decide which 1.2 Warbird I want first
Man this thing is so stinkin gorgeous. I've been waiting for this thing to come out for awhile now and I'm so excited to get one. (From the link 😉)
Also, seems like you're not the only one to "crash" this thing lol
Great video, Brian and Camera Crew!
Felt like watching this again this morning and just a reminder to people of the 3 R's for flying off grass. You can't have a "Rutty Ruff Runaway" 😂
Totally gorgeous! Love the turning mains!
Well done Brian I love your videos
Thanks Glen!
Brian, I remember one of your videos talking about the bigger battery for the nx6-- is that a direct replacement??
yeah, this one Bigger Tx Pack - 6000mAh 3.7V - bit.ly/3bZ0nHW
Is it "liverys" of "lyeveries"? I'll bet you could fly that obstacle course blindfolded. Enjoy your entertaining videos.
LOL - Thanks ;)
I don't know about Livery VS Liveries ;) I just say it and hope not to look like a complete fool ;)
I have an older Hobby Zone Corsair that I have learning to fly tail draggers with. I have been looking at this one to upgrade with, but I have read some negative review about the pins in the landing gear coming out. Have you heard about these issues? Thanks for the great videos!
I've see nothing of the sort on the 90 degree swivels...BUT we don't get the hours that some pilots have on their RC planes, admittedly.

@@BrianPhillipsRC Thanks Brian! I have learned to take all these online reviews with a grain of salt but there were enough of them with the same complaint to give me pause and to ask and see if you had an opinion on this. I wish I knew someone at my local field with this plane but I have not found one yet.
1.5m Bearcat would be awesome
PLEASE!!!
The old green one is fugly i have a spare fuse that will spray over it with tamiya as-8 ,almost a exact match,
I hated it, then I got it and grew to like it a lot ;) BUTT fugly seems to be a popular position - LOL
Great video!! What is the brand and name of the foam glue you used? Please and thank you!! Happy new year!! 🎉

@@BrianPhillipsRC Brian my son and I watch your videos all the time!!! Great job on them all!!! Your camera woman does an amazing job capturing everything also!!!!
Hi Brian sorry for all the questions. In your video I didn’t see how you set up reverse thrust. Maybe I missed it. But can you explain or point me at what point in your video you demonstrated how to set it up. I have a DX9 spektrum. Thank you
Hello Brian,😁😁😁😁f4 u corsair its super😁😁😁😁😁
thanks master ;)
really confuse de set up.. great your youtube channel. congrats
Thanks! Hope we can help.
@@BrianPhillipsRC thank you very much
This looks way easier to land than the P-51 mustang 1.2...
I think they land about the same, but the P-51 is easier to take off.
Brian- you said you had to go full Left on rudder-but it looks like you had it full right ? I'm on my 4th flight now. !st 2 were hairy ! 3rd -took my retracts off--This plane torques on ground to left I believe right ?
I might have mis-spoke. I was dyslexic as a kid, and seems this slips out in form of my directional errors like that. Sorry

So beautiful...
Now I can also fly my b17 flying fortress in same scale with escorts from the 1.2 war bird series
Ironically, you CAN bind two planes to the SAME Tx and fly them at the same time, but it's very dangerous ;) Please don't try it, but if you do, FILM IT SO WE CAN WATCH!!!!
Awesome video as all ways!!
If you do not have an appropriate run way, could you hand launch this?
What are you thoughts?
Which RC Corsair would you recommend to a beginner that's graduating from the 400mm?
Damn what a great landing
Thanks!
I have a question. How many 1.2m Corsairs did it really take to make this video? 🤣. Just kidding. I know you and you do admit to having mishaps. haha. Glad to see the 1.2m planes from HH making a comeback. Brian. You are awesome pilot. Megan is awesome on the camera. Your true wingman. 👊. Hope you and the family are doing well. Take care, Brad.
Only the one ;) We're glad to see the whole 1.2m lineup coming back, but we're still short a Spitfire, and AT6
So.........it looks like this new eFlite Corsair blew the new Arrows Corsair outta the......air!
I want you guys to be able to make up your own minds ;)
Nice! 😎🤙
thanks!
Wonderful plane but why do you insist on grass take offs if you know it's hard on the plane with all those holes? You should mount a small cam on it 😉
I need to get my grass strip smoothed out. Unfortunately, we can't share any aerial footage without part 107 - what a joke! Sorry about that
I have an opportunity to by this brand new for 150. What do you think. I have the fms p51 and the voodoo never flown with flaps and retracts yet!
That's a STEAL, get it!!!!!!! You will want to be careful with this beauty, but you can do it
Could this or the P-51 by arrows be a beginner warbird, 3-4 plane?
Sorry for the scam reply! We've reported and blocked that account.
@@BrianPhillipsRC I didn’t trust it, I new something was up! Thank you!
Beautiful plane. It's on my want list. But War birds usually prefer a nice smooth surface to roll on. Bumpy fields of grass. Not ideal .
sure
...plus they can and DO tip forward.
Nice plane. What's your thoughts on this versus the current eflite p51 as far as flying is concerned? Which one do you prefer?
I like the P-51 better. BUT no warbird collection is complete without a GOOD F4U-4 Corsair ;)
