I think the reason he's able to put so much power into singing and make it sound like he's actually determined is becuase he was, becuase he wanted to show that he was good at it!

"Bardic Inspiration" is the best episode in *any* DnD live series I've ever seen. And I've seen several of them. Halfway throught watching it I was slackjawed. The slow motion scene blew my entire mind. This is next level for DnD-inspired content.

I'm amazed at the quality and grandeur of One for All now that they've got proper funding, even though this will probably be the height of insane spectacle since this one episode cost so much. 'Bardic Inspiration' will probably be the best episode of One for All, period, and it earns that title. Having Tom actually preform after hearing the bloopers all the way back in season 1 episode 1 is cathartic, and the whole cast and production team did an amazing job! Cheers Deerstalker, you guys are legends.

I really wish Netflix or Hulu or even like youtube TV would pick this up and give you guys full funding for a fully fleshed out season. They keep getting better and better!
Just because something works in one format doesn’t mean it will translate easily to another. I think they have found the proper format, 5-7 minute comedy sketches. Anything longer and you need to worry about character and plot. Current format you don’t need an arc for anyone, and you can really riff on a joke well. It’s the Monty Python dilemma. Show is great, movies can be hit and miss. When it works it works, but translation between mediums is hard.
I love that episode. Thomas Taufan's singing is fantastic ! And the lyrics and music -- excellent. So well written and so well produced. All the actors and all the backstage staff had it totally together.
I think it should have been evident from season 1 episode 1, but this season's premiere and this behind the scenes makes it clear that the day when you inevitably decide to end this series, every subscriber is going to cry their eyes out and so will your cast and crew. I knew you're writers, directors and actors, but this gives the vibes you're doing something very special for yourselves personally, the passion, the love and I think the camaraderie are palpable. Congratulations!

You can see huge effort it took to create the 6 and half minute video, and they are still working on a tiny budget. It would make a good opening credits sequence for a series.

I can't respect more Thomas for his performance (I've added your song into my playlist !) and the whole team for the hard work. I know there is a lot of people working literally behind the scene and I think you have a good team here. Never change ! I can't imagine what you would produce in Europe with all the historical castles, streets and ruins we have here. I hope you will not encounter problems to find new sceneries in the future !
To everyone asking for a full campaign, I don't think you realize the difficulty in that. There would most likely be such lulls between the interactions and actions of the party that people have come to expect, that the pacing would be erratic, at best. Memorable, unforced moments are relatively rare in a campaign, unless it's specifically designed to be wacky (or Tomb of Horrors). VLDL gets around this by having a longer format, and having the IRL section as the majority of the video, with snippets of in-game stuff. TL;DR is, I'd bet the people wanting a campaign play-through would quickly complain that it's not like their skits.
Really proud of you guys. And tons of respect for everyone involved. Ive watched the episode about half a dozen times and found something else to be impressed with. Looking forward to the next episode!

I fell in love with this series (Antrius) way back when it first started, all the episodes are incredibly funny, but this… this is the work of not only geniuses, but of people that love the art, this show, dnd, and each other. This is my favorite episode by far, but knowing that episode 2 is fast approaching that statement might not stand the test of time. Kudos everyone and Lets fucking gooooo!

This episode and this making of was fantastic! And I love the use of context to make an update in character's clothes, first in the shop episode and now escaping the prison. They change clothes but the colors and visual identity remais the same. Great Job!

This episode and this making of was fantastic! And I love the use of context to make an update in character's clothes, first in the shop episode and now escaping the prison. They change clothes but the colors and visual identity remais the same. Great Job!
