I would never recommend playing in these display modes on a console that doesn't have VRR to avoid tearing. - HFR modes can reach 120fps, but quite anecdotally. In general, the framerate is quite irregular in these modes. - Quality mode suffers from some stuttering issues and adds some input-lag. - Rarely have I seen a game apply ray-tracing with such a successful artistic context (at least in the reflections). Tokyo looks beautiful with RT. - To measure performance on PC, a 3050, 3060 Ti, 3070 Ti and 3080 have been used with all settings at maximum. - The HFR Quality mode presents a Ray-Tracing and shadows of lower quality with respect to the standard quality mode. HFR Performance mode also loses quality in the shadows. - In general, the RT on PC has more resolution in reflections compared to PS5. - Ray-Tracing in Quality modes on PS5 and PC is applied to reflections (on certain materials) and shadows cast by specific light sources. - Translucent reflections (glass, showcases, car windows, etc.) are not ray-traced. Ray-traced shadows do not follow a logical pattern. You can find an asset with shadow generated by RT (2:04) and a couple of meters later, that same asset without RT (11:14). - PS5 uses the SSGI system for ambient occlusion, which creates unwanted effects when moving the camera (particularly indoors). Luckily, on PC we can choose between SSGI and SSAO. - The main character does not cast a shadow or reflect on any surface. - The FOV is not modifiable in any version.

No entiendo porque no han puesto un modo para 1080p + RT + 60FPS bloqueados, en vez de desbloqueado. Me pregunto como afectara a pantalla de 60hz el modo Modo Calidad HFR Vsync.
Imagine in this age that a console can hold up pretty much the same in terms of details and features in it as the one on PC. Many people will try to downplay this because they don't want their PC getting butt hurt, but it amazed me how much close we come since last gen and now more than ever the 500$ price tag is a huge value. I have a PC and seeing this make me happy people can enjoy almost the same quality of people playing in PC. If you try to comment to implied your PC master stuff don't bother. I am in a place where if someone wants to enter gaming I just say spend 500$ on a console instead on a 1200$ PC to match or surpassed these console quality. Don't comment please to said that you think differently I know fam we all see and think differently!!
Consoles were always holding their own against pc when it came to price to performance. The only exception was the PS4 and Xbox one since they launched weak due to numerous outside factors
Yeah I agree the PS5 is actually a really nice value and I like the fact that I can play story games at 60fps which just feels amazing to play. Although I would like to see more 120fps games personally. I own a PC and PS5 myself and they are both good although I use the PC wayyyy more
I have a RTX 3080 pc and a ps5. As a lazy person, turns out I barely play any games on pc. 😂The accessibility of games and the adaptive triggers on ps5 are pure gold. Most of the games runs better on console when launch too. Just hate to update driver and solving those performance issues on pc every time.
I've read reports of screen tearing issues in those modes in need of patching. Hopefully Tango and Bethesda patch it soon. Unfortunately, PS5 does not yet natively support VRR screen tearing solutions like FreeSync and NVIDIA GSync yet. I hope to see Sony implement it some time in the near future. At the very least FreeSync, to maximize use of PS5's AMD GPU. One of the reasons I got an LG G1 is because it is FreeSync and GSync certified but I can't make use of those VRR features with my PS5 yet, only my PC.

@Michel Darwin That's just mentioning that fanboys make dumb comments. Gpu's are currently going for msrp. You can build a system with a 3060 ti for a little over $800 and get double the frame rate of the ps5 without dlss.

So, if you pay the actual MSRP cost for PC components, a $2000 gaming PC build *should* be pretty awesome. If you consider the PC builds people have posted to match Series X/PS5 performance in games, those are about $1400-$1500 (obviously the PC offers many more software functions, but this build focus on gaming capability comparison vs. Series X and PS5). For the price, the Series and PS5 provide very good value.
Interesting I think the PS5 is kinda on par with the 3060TI, even tho the resolution is much higher when it's on the quality mode the ray-tracing is a bit lacking in the ps5, mainly I noticed in the denoiser of shadows.

Especially when You consider that components are has extremely high prices and russian invasion on Ukraine will only make them even higher (In devastated Mariupol were two biggest NEON gas fabrics and they stopped production due to war. Neon is essential in semicon production. Ukraine supplied c.a 90% world demand of this gas so it's only matter of time when prices start to grow again).
And it also would not run well if you take away dinamic resolution and custom graphics setting that PS5 has. What is your point? Also DLSS has minimum quality losses while giving pretty good fps gains.
I think the differences between systems these days are so marginal that you need to sit and run benchmarks like this video to know the difference. Computer advancement has slowed down to a crawl . There was more difference graphically between megadrive and snes and they are the same generation than exists between a PS4 vs ps5 It’s arguing over nothing anymore.
The fact that there's an unlocked framerate only means that VRR is coming soon. I don't see any other need for the devs to leave that option open for players. Compared to the PC side, I think the Playstation is doing relatively well considering it has no DLSS.

Why is the PS5 for this game not capable of 4K and 60 FPS? I am currently playing it on PS5 and absolutely love it. I am just wondering why the game looks better for me in performance mode then, quality. I have a great 4K TV I am just curious.
No lo se, se me hace que esta muy exagerada la aplicacion del ray tracing, es como si toda superficie reflectante fuese un espejo. La calle parece tener el mismo nivel de agua limpia (raro para una calle con transito el estar libre de suciedad) en todo el recorrido, lo que hace que a todo momento refleje la totalidad del entorno. No niego que la tecnologia es tremenda y que al ojo se vea barbaro, pero es mas como una peli de Michael Bay o un filtro de instagram en vez de una refraccion realista.
no se si es por el anti aliasing pero en 1080p todo al maximo lo noto como borroso, como que le falta nitidez, con una rx 590 todo al maximo entre 60-75 fps anda bien
Y que ms que tiene el modo 1440p 60fps casi perfectos y aun mejor 1080p a más de 120fps y Ray tracing así que no es igual que solo un modo 1080p a 30fps es muy diferente además de la expectacular potencia gráfica que ofrecen ps5 y series x

Casi 100% seguro que la niebla es por tema de rendimiento, pero también tiene un segundo significado. En Japon existe algo llamado el Hyakki Yagyō (El desfile de los cien demonios) el cual es una evento en el que una gran cantidad de demonios se pasean por la tierra con libertad y casi siempre esta ligado a una espesa niebla. De hecho en el juego puedes ver siluetas de demonios clasicos japoneses cosa que es curiosa por que los principales enemigos del juego son fantasmas, no demonios.

@@Rebel_at_Heart they unlocked the frame rate on the different modes instead of capping it at 30 or 60 fps. Just like Elden Ring. This mean that the PS5 Pro will brute force it to reach a more stable 60/120 fps.
Looks like interiors have RT shadows just like Pc version however I’m not sure if outside has RT shadows, it might be just a better SSAO option than PS5 -
the performance in RT mode is mindboggling stupid... Make me wonder if the game is the best advertisement for DLSS, the 4000 series card or just turning off RT on PC.
Sin VRR que problema menos mal xbox si tiene VRR ojala no presente los mismo pequeños por lemas que tiene la versión de ps5 en cuanto a los gráficos las diferencias son muy pocas brutal como se ve en ambas plataformas lo que logra la ps5 con este juego es brutal aún por encima de la 3050 3060 sin dlss y con esos gráficos me gusta que ayan desbloqueado los fps demostró la ps5 que esta por encima de esas gráficas con el mismo nivel gráfico incluso de la 3070 ti y así decían que los juegos intergeneracionales no limitaban las consolas este juego es solo para la nueva generación y le saca el jugo tanto a ps5 como a xbox series x a mi parecer no deberían sacar mas juegos para la anterior generación limita demaciado las nuevas consolas como aquí quedo visto ya quiero ver como va en series x sera un gozada
Un ps5 ni en sueños está al nivel de la 3070ti,este juego está muy bien optimizado y por eso tiene esas opciones,(ojo,no soy hater de ps5 ni fanboy de PC) pero decir eso me parece muy estúpido,si buscas como corre cualquier juego en una 3070ti y luego en un ps5 hay años de diferencia,pero lo cual es lógico al ver el precio de la gráfica

- DLSS sigue mejorando, mostrándo una calidad casi indistinguible con el 4K nativo en PC. Lo considero esencial si queremos jugar con RT en PC.
- Los modos sin Vsync, como es de esperar, tienen tearing constante. No recomendaría nunca jugar en estos modos de visualización en una consola que no tiene VRR para evitar el tearing.
- Los modos HFR pueden alcanzar los 120fps, pero de manera bastante anecdótica. En general, el framerate es bastante irregular en estos modos.
- El modo calidad sufre algunos problemas de stuttering y añade algo de input-lag.
- Pocas veces he visto que un juego aplique ray-tracing con un contexto artístico tan acertado (al menos en los reflejos). Tokyo se ve preciosa con RT.
- Para medir el rendimiento en PC, se ha utilizado una 3050, 3060 Ti, 3070 Ti y 3080 con todos los settings al máximo.
- El modo Calidad HFR presenta un Ray-Tracing y sombras de menor calidad con respecto al modo calidad estandar. El modo Rendimiento HFR también pierde calidad en las sombras.
- En general, el RT en PC tiene más resolución en los reflejos con respecto a PS5.
- El Ray-Tracing de los modos Quality en PS5 y PC se aplica en reflejos (en determinados materiales) y sombras proyectadas por fuentes de luz concretas.
- Los reflejos translúcidos (cristales, vitrinas, ventanas de coche, etc.) no tienen ray-tracing. Las sombras con Ray-Tracing no siguen un patrón lógico. Puedes encontrar un asset con sombra generada por RT (2:04) y un par de metros más adelante, ese mismo asset sin RT (11:14).
- PS5 utiliza el sistema de SSGI para la oclusión ambiental, lo que genera efectos no deseados al mover la cámara (sobre todo en interiores). Por suerte, en PC sí podemos elegir entre SSGI y SSAO.
- El personaje principal no proyecta sombra ni se refleja en ninguna superficie.
- El FOV no es modificable en ninguna versión.
- PS5 has 6 display modes in total:
Quality mode: Ray-Tracing, 1800p as common resolution and 30fps.
HFR Quality mode: Ray-tracing, 1080p and unlocked framerate without vsync.
HFR Vsync Quality Mode: Ray-tracing, 1080p and framerate unlocked with vsync.
Performance mode: Without Ray-Tracing, 1440p as common resolution and 60fps.
HFR Performance mode: No Ray-Tracing, 1080p and framerate unlocked without vsync.
HFR Vsync Performance mode: No Ray-Tracing, 1080p and framerate unlocked with vsync.
- DLSS continues to improve, displaying quality almost indistinguishable from native 4K on PC. I consider it essential if we want to play with RT on PC.
- Modes without Vsync, as expected, have constant tearing. I would never recommend playing in these display modes on a console that doesn't have VRR to avoid tearing.
- HFR modes can reach 120fps, but quite anecdotally. In general, the framerate is quite irregular in these modes.
- Quality mode suffers from some stuttering issues and adds some input-lag.
- Rarely have I seen a game apply ray-tracing with such a successful artistic context (at least in the reflections). Tokyo looks beautiful with RT.
- To measure performance on PC, a 3050, 3060 Ti, 3070 Ti and 3080 have been used with all settings at maximum.
- The HFR Quality mode presents a Ray-Tracing and shadows of lower quality with respect to the standard quality mode. HFR Performance mode also loses quality in the shadows.
- In general, the RT on PC has more resolution in reflections compared to PS5.
- Ray-Tracing in Quality modes on PS5 and PC is applied to reflections (on certain materials) and shadows cast by specific light sources.
- Translucent reflections (glass, showcases, car windows, etc.) are not ray-traced. Ray-traced shadows do not follow a logical pattern. You can find an asset with shadow generated by RT (2:04) and a couple of meters later, that same asset without RT (11:14).
- PS5 uses the SSGI system for ambient occlusion, which creates unwanted effects when moving the camera (particularly indoors). Luckily, on PC we can choose between SSGI and SSAO.
- The main character does not cast a shadow or reflect on any surface.
- The FOV is not modifiable in any version.

Imagine in this age that a console can hold up pretty much the same in terms of details and features in it as the one on PC. Many people will try to downplay this because they don't want their PC getting butt hurt, but it amazed me how much close we come since last gen and now more than ever the 500$ price tag is a huge value. I have a PC and seeing this make me happy people can enjoy almost the same quality of people playing in PC. If you try to comment to implied your PC master stuff don't bother. I am in a place where if someone wants to enter gaming I just say spend 500$ on a console instead on a 1200$ PC to match or surpassed these console quality. Consoles were always holding their own against pc when it came to price to performance. The only exception was the PS4 and Xbox one since they launched weak due to numerous outside factors
Yeah I agree the PS5 is actually a really nice value and I like the fact that I can play story games at 60fps which just feels amazing to play. Although I would like to see more 120fps games personally.

I have a RTX 3080 pc and a ps5. As a lazy person, turns out I barely play any games on pc. 😂The accessibility of games and the adaptive triggers on ps5 are pure gold. Most of the games runs better on console when launch too. Just hate to update driver and solving those performance issues on pc every time.

I've read reports of screen tearing issues in those modes in need of patching. Hopefully Tango and Bethesda patch it soon. Unfortunately, PS5 does not yet natively support VRR screen tearing solutions like FreeSync and NVIDIA GSync yet. I hope to see Sony implement it some time in the near future. At the very least FreeSync, to maximize use of PS5's AMD GPU. One of the reasons I got an LG G1 is because it is FreeSync and GSync certified but I can't make use of those VRR features with my PS5 yet, only my PC.

So, if you pay the actual MSRP cost for PC components, a $2000 gaming PC build *should* be pretty awesome.
If you consider the PC builds people have posted to match Series X/PS5 performance in games, those are about $1400-$1500 (obviously the PC offers many more software functions, but this build focus on gaming capability comparison vs. Series X and PS5).
For the price, the Series and PS5 provide very good value.

Interesting I think the PS5 is kinda on par with the 3060TI, even tho the resolution is much higher when it's on the quality mode the ray-tracing is a bit lacking in the ps5, mainly I noticed in the denoiser of shadows.

Interiors appear to have RT shadows in ps5 but not exteriors, this is probably becuz the gpu is not challenged by having both RT shadows and reflections at same time
They both have RT shadows but PC also has the advantage of screen-spaced ambient occlusion which is what you're looking at

Especially when You consider that components are has extremely high prices and russian invasion on Ukraine will only make them even higher (In devastated Mariupol were two biggest NEON gas fabrics and they stopped production due to war. Neon is essential in semicon production. Ukraine supplied c.a 90% world demand of this gas so it's only matter of time when prices start to grow again).
And it also would not run well if you take away dinamic resolution and custom graphics setting that PS5 has. What is your point?

The fact that there's an unlocked framerate only means that VRR is coming soon. I don't see any other need for the devs to leave that option open for players. Compared to the PC side, I think the Playstation is doing relatively well considering it has no DLSS.

No lo se, se me hace que esta muy exagerada la aplicacion del ray tracing, es como si toda superficie reflectante fuese un espejo. La calle parece tener el mismo nivel de agua limpia (raro para una calle con transito el estar libre de suciedad) en todo el recorrido, lo que hace que a todo momento refleje la totalidad del entorno.
No niego que la tecnologia es tremenda y que al ojo se vea barbaro, pero es mas como una peli de Michael Bay o un filtro de instagram en vez de una refraccion realista.
Mira vids de caminando por tokio en noche lluviosa, japón es tan exageradamente limpio que sí se ve muy similar al juego los reflejos.

Y por que aqui nadie habla de la niebla ?
Casi 100% seguro que la niebla es por tema de rendimiento, pero también tiene un segundo significado.
En Japon existe algo llamado el Hyakki Yagyō (El desfile de los cien demonios) el cual es una evento en el que una gran cantidad de demonios se pasean por la tierra con libertad y casi siempre esta ligado a una espesa niebla.
De hecho en el juego puedes ver siluetas de demonios clasicos japoneses cosa que es curiosa por que los principales enemigos del juego son fantasmas, no demonios.
Tango Games este año hubiera sacado The Evil Within 3, no se porque el 2 vendió tan poquito si fue un juegazo.

Should've used TSR since it can be enabled on any GPUs rather than just RTX.
Current version of FSR isn’t good. Would be more impactful with FSR 2.0!

@@Rebel_at_Heart they unlocked the frame rate on the different modes instead of capping it at 30 or 60 fps. Just like Elden Ring. This mean that the PS5 Pro will brute force it to reach a more stable 60/120 fps.

Sin VRR que problema menos mal xbox si tiene VRR ojala no presente los mismo pequeños por lemas que tiene la versión de ps5 en cuanto a los gráficos las diferencias son muy pocas brutal como se ve en ambas plataformas lo que logra la ps5 con este juego es brutal aún por encima de la 3050 3060 sin dlss y con esos gráficos me gusta que ayan desbloqueado los fps demostró la ps5 que esta por encima de esas gráficas con el mismo nivel gráfico incluso de la 3070 ti y así decían que los juegos intergeneracionales no limitaban las consolas este juego es solo para la nueva generación y le saca el jugo tanto a ps5 como a xbox series x a mi parecer no deberían sacar mas juegos para la anterior generación limita demaciado las nuevas consolas como aquí quedo visto ya quiero ver como va en series x sera un gozada
Un ps5 ni en sueños está al nivel de la 3070ti,este juego está muy bien optimizado y por eso tiene esas opciones,(ojo,no soy hater de ps5 ni fanboy de PC) pero decir eso me parece muy estúpido,si buscas como corre cualquier juego en una 3070ti y luego en un ps5 hay años de diferencia,pero lo cual es lógico al ver el precio de la gráfica
@@rafaelsalvatori8287 no y entonces viendo que a nivel gráfico están iguales encima la 3070 ti esta sin dlss y ba con unos fps por debajo de los 20 mientras ps5 con Ray tracing y va en 30 fps estables y también con los fps desbloqueados por encima de los 60fps una clara ventaja de la potencia de la consola estas vien ciego si viendo el pu#@ video y ni lo vio hay esta la prueba papa y esos juegis que dices que van por encima de ps5 son juegos ya viejos ahora están saliendo los juegos de nueva generación y ya es muy diferente ademas que nisiquieran le sacan jugo a las consolas los de nueva generación si papa por eso aquí se ve la diferente de un juego de nueva generación a uno ya viejo loco

@@harper4556 aquí en Colombia una xbox series x está por encima de los 3 millones quinientos y una pc con una tarjeta gama baja esta al rededor de unos 6 millones que gran diferencia una consola que ofrece severa potencia gráfica y es más barata que una pc con una gráfica gama baja y que corre los grafcos en bajo o medio bajo gran diferencia que asta la pc más vieja con los compotentes más viejos vale más que una ps5 o xbox series x o s estas consolas entregan graficos a un nivel de un pc gama alta y un rendimiento brutal a 60fps y es más barato que una pc gama baja que vale más

Esperaré la versión de XBOX SX, llega día 1 al Game Pass Ultimate una vez acabe la "exclusiva" temporal de PlayStation y de haber segunda parte no saldrá en PlayStation, únicamente en el Ecosistema MICROSOFT.
