Stewards Findings: Round 10 - Imola Otis Lawrence Thomas Ronhaar (L22 T10-13) Decision: Otis Lawrence's warning not removed. 2 license points to Otis Lawrence & 5s added to their final race time. (Pts on license: 5) Reason: Causing a collision. Approaching Turn 11, Thomas Ronhaar was ahead of Otis Lawrence by around half a car length. Considering the nature of Turn 11, Otis Lawrence should have backed out, even though they were on the inside. They failed to do so, the 2 drivers collided and went off the track which lead to Thomas Ronhaar losing a position. Having deemed Otis Lawrence predominantly to blame for this incident, the track limit warning stands
He complained about "this guy, always sending it" while simultaneously driving into the side of him for no reason going down a straight when there was plenty of room to hold his line on the right
Both drivers are at fault on this one. If you pause at 23 seconds you could argue that Ronhaar has a wheel ahead so its his corner. But he doesn't respect the space and cuts Otis off at the apex, forcing him onto the yellow curbs. But even when you watched this part of the race live and you saw the battle starting you just knew it wasn't going to end well. Also, love Blakely sounding like Captain Price, shushing Otis haha
@@yaadmanstyle Agreed. I think maybe there is a lot of frustration with drivers towards Otis and his over aggressive driving style so Ronhaar probably wasnt having it this time around and got overly aggressive himself. But unfortunately it destroyed his race further. Bit of a shame all round I guess.
The unfair thing is, the reason is "Thomas Ronhaar was ahead of Otis Lawrence by around half a car length". But Ronhaar, who was a full car behind, had send it in the previous turn. It made a contact with Otis, which made him have a bad exit from turn, and this is how Ronhaar was able to get half a car length of advantage for the next turn. So, cause of this collision starts with Ronhaar sending it in that turn.
No further action or penalties for both drivers. They are both to blame when it comes to this incident. Ronhaar doesnt leave Otis on the inside any space and the two come together. The first collision is on Ronhaar. The secons is Otis' fault as he just pushes Ronhaar of the track
It's amazing how these drivers seem to NEVER learn, every single race they make the same mistake over and over again. Also I love Lucas having to act as a parent to Otis MID RACE.
10s - Otis moves to block, not allowed. 18s - Ronhaar forces Otis off track, not allowed. 22s - Ronhaar does it again, Otis loses control, meaning the contact at 23s is not his fault. Both drivers need penalty, but a lesser one for Otis in this case.

@@calories4789watch again, Otis should have backed off as ronhar was half a car length ahead, he is allowed to squeeze him on the apex, the reason it looks like there wasn't enough space is that Otis sent it and ran wide into him. @@noideratestreams6306Well both are the types of drivers that always have their elbows out. If it were Jarno or Lucas beside Otis, they wouldnt just squeeze Otis out of the track on that turn like that. Thats just disaster waiting to happen. Even though Roonhar is ahead, they are practically still side by side
I'm with Otis on this one. In Turn 9, Ronhaar absolutely does not leave Otis any room at all, despite his defence. At Turn 11, Otis clearly has his nose and a set of tires on the inside of Ronhaar, yet Ronhaar completely turns in on him, which makes Otis have to readjust into understeer that pushes Ronhaar off track. This whole situation was completely Ronhaar's fault. You can't just get up beside someone and stay there, driving like they don't exist. You have to make a move definitively. Edit: It really doesn't make sense to me to have special or different racing rules for specific corners, either. Either you're entitled to space when you're beside someone, or you're not.
In my opinion, both were entitled to space the car inside for being far enough alongside on corner entry and the car outside for being ahead on the apex. My guess is Otis got the penalty for the bias of his past transgressions. If he doesnt shy away and pushes to improve his racecraft he will get out of this phase in his career a better driver.

Yes, you cannot say it's just the age, but with age comes the ability to reflect on yourself. I've been league racing those games for like 6 years now and I've seen a lot of bad and dirty drivers. It's only a small percentage of drivers or drivers that don't have a lot of experience and their skills developed yet.
