Don't forget to mention how the self drum adjustor work as in normal driving they click when you stop going backward from a driveway when you rock to the stop it moves the adjustors and tightens them up
While you're waiting for your trans adaptor to come you should take those oven racks and cut and flatten them so they slide in and out easily. You have the tig welder to glue it back together. One of these days while wrestling them into the oven you are going to dump your part on the oven element and break it or throw your hot part on the floor. I've been looking for an AHP TIG for a while and just missed buying one locally.
When I'm Sand Blasting I like to take a fan and point it at the pump and motor. My compressor is smaller than your's and has to work very hard to keep up with my blast cabinet.
Red button is a thermal cutout. It has to cool down before it allows to be reset. Wouldn't hurt to blast some clean air through the motor to clear out any accumulated dust.
Ha I found a 15 cfm compressor on the side of the road (hard rubbish) I took it home plugged it in and it didn’t work? Snooped around and pressed that red button! Free running compressor!! It was only 18 months old from the stamp date on the tank!!
So either the drum brakes for the Taco if you have your handbrake hooked up you can pull that up a couple of times and it will self level it out. Found out from a Toyota technician on questionable garage.
My compressor does the same thing when you run it for a long time the key thing is if you’re gonna be using it for a while put a fan blowing across the electric motor that seems to help mine
gotta look into blaster upgrades that thing could be soooo much better probally triple the speed it blasts now also guns with bigger tips seem to work mint
Sorry to hear about your food poisoning, that can make you feel like your gonna die. I was the one that asked about your Kobolt, when you said it crapped out I was like, well scratch that off the list lol. I too was hoping you were going to do a disc brake conversion, I'm having the same problem with my brakes that you were having, sometimes they grab good other times I have to really push hard on the pedal, I just replaced the back brakes, I sanded down the inside of the read drums and scuffed up the brake shoes, I have custom front rotors that are drilled and slotted with custom pads, I think i'm going to pull the front tires and see if the disc's are glazed or the pads are. Glad the compressor is ok, I have a 20 yr old sears 30 gallon, I'm afraid to use it anymore, It makes such a loud clanking noise that i'm afraid it's going blow up. Great job on the back brakes, I had an 02 Taco, didn't like it because it was too small for me, turned it in on an 02 tundra, then I bought the 05 Limited and have not looked back. I like the older Toyota's not crazy about the new generation of trucks. hope you are feeling better.
In this day and age I do not understand why manufacturers still use drum brakes on the rear of vehicles. In the fifties and sixties when I was a kid the Europeans laughed at us for being so backward that our cars were all drum brakes with almost no exceptions while they were the opposite. Yet even today our cars are still sporting crappy drum brakes. With today's prices they sure can't argue that they can't afford to put in discs!!
Glad to hear and see that you are feeling better. When you are ill, there is nothing more important than good health.

Got all excited thinking you were doing a rear disc brake conversion.

Good you’re on the mend. Try blowing the motor out with comp air. Where a dust mask. Cleaning the brush residue and general dirt will decrease heat
you replaced the wheel cylinders but didn't bleed the breaks???
great videos Austin, you get me excited to get back to wrenching on my '93
Glad your feeling better

Some times that reset button has to cool down 30-50* to reset. Adjusting drum brakes is getting to be a lost art, you nailed it.
Feel better soon. When are you going to powder coat the wheels?
there is no such thing as a bad video here. .. love the content always
Buenos días bendiciones. Esta muy buena las instrucción de mecánica he aprendido mucho. Desde Panama Chiriqui. Bugaba.
