Our right to travel to other countries is NOT ABSOLUTE because the receiving country also have rules and regulations governing incoming visitors to their country. This is particularly true for countries who have extended visa-free entry to Filipinos. It is important for Filipinos to respect this privilege extended to them in the form of a visa-free entry by not overstaying!

Going to Thailand is better than going to the Philippines this year
Entry into the Philippines must gradually be made easier again, as it was before the pandemic
Its actually easier now - less security checks and less paperwork
Its now same convenient as before.
Thats why they planned the pandemic....... to bring in widespread power and control over all people. Learn a lesson from what is happening now in china!
Till now I did not go to Phils because the country is one track mind,,, they do not know there are 2 groups sa bakuna sa health purposes,, yong nag believe sa bakuna at yong hindi…the officials there should learn to research. Sorry, I think you’re behind on real situation or truth😳🥺

April 23 is my flight so I ask them to assist me . Dapat may help desk kayo sa airport specially to seniors gaya ko . Nag pa assist ako na igawa nila ako nag bayad ako 140 pesos dun sa gumawa ng etravel ko . thank you sa taga walis ng Terminal 2 NAIA tinulungan niya ako noong April 23 God bless you.
Hi Jennifer,. That's absolutely ridiculous, it's bad enough foreigners have to register to go the Philippines. But now have to register 3 days before leaving the Philippines. The Etravel should be good for your going to the Philippines and leaving the Philippines.

If this new etravel departure implemented and required all seniors traveling should also be assisted or even a kiosk otherwise , this is not a senior friendly country. I am a senior planning to travel to the Philippines but the way I see it on all vloggers even in the news it’s a scary disastrous time for us senior citizens from another country that wants to go home now as Filipinos. Dear God guide all the thinking brains of the government to consider how they can assist seniors traveling in and out of the Philippines. Goodluck to me and the traveling seniors ! May God give a clear bright brains for all Philippines officials specially for travel requirements that we seniors needs guidance. Hope that all seniors will not be or get scam for getting help or assistance while in the Philippines. I pray that Gods will make all the scammers and corrupt officials to get sick or stay off while I’m coming home. The way I sound saying all these things because I was very close to getting scam when I went home in 2005 , since then, I haven’t come back but in 6 months I am but I can’t help myself worry or hesitate to come home to my country. So help me God!!!

Thats it im leavinģ end of April, im seriously thinking about never coming back. Im tired of all the complications just to visit Pinas and now leave, im going too try other countries that are making it easier for travellers. What is wrong with this country it depends on tourism but never stops making it a problem to travel here. Tourism figures will go down and other S,E Asian countries will benefit from another mistake by the Philippines traveller rules.

Ang Pilipinas ay isa sa mga destinasyong nasa aking travel bucket list for forever. Sa tuwing magbubukas ako ng social media ay may makikitang mga nakamamanghang larawan ng isang taong kilala ko na habang-buhay na naglalakbay, tuklasin ang magagandang natural na tanawin ng Pilipinas.

Thank you Jennifer. Foreigners also pay great attention to a 'heads up' from you concerning these issues when traveling. Wonder if they will cover the departure fee in this site as well. ( payment)?? I would be nice if they did..lol but I know this is the PH and these things take time! PATIENCE is the key word here. Sure it takes time for the Government to iron out the bugs in the system. I do what I have to do, if I want to see my wife and kids . 😏 😁👍

I just wanted to take a moment to say Thank You Jennifer, you present great information and ideas and suggestions in a very nice way. Awesome,,,,, but as we all know, it's the PI government that does not care, (especially BI, Customs, etc,) and having to bring tremendous amounts of paperwork and documents still to prove yourself, (it's almost like guilty until proven innocent) I hope this E-Travel helps, I have never experienced such problems anywhere else,,,,,, but I digress, anyways, thanks again

The previous people said the Internet in the Philippines is awful. But being a foreigner trying to use your own phone to access Internet maybe even a greater issue. This is just another layer of government intrusion if I have a return ticket with a boarding pass that should be sufficient for me because it check my passport is documented on the computer that I left the country.

Last yr umuwi ako,OHP pa noon at yung pauwi lang ng pinas dapat mag register ay nakaka stress na sa gaya kong senior uuwi ako this yr,register pauwi at pabalik,,paano kung wala namang internet or pagdating sa NAIA e nagloloko ang internet/wifi,ano i-offload naman,,pahirap ang B.I sa mga travelers!

Only Philippine Passport holders should only register the e-travel departing the Philippines like the Travel Departure card before. Foreign passport holders never filled the travel card before so why will they register on-line now. They should look into this asap.

As far as I can remember, since I first travelled back in the 70’s, there never was a fast and effecient processing of documents by the Immigration. It’s always chaos and confusion, change of rules and regulations every now and then. There never was a permanent rule implemented so travelers especially Filipino citizens can feel at least a sigh of relief and not pressured.
We don’t have Wi-Fi in Philippines ! This is ridiculous 😡!!!!

This is Jason from Northern California I just got done traveling to the Philippines and I use E travel it works great I live in the US I come to the Philippines quite often so from my understanding, are you saying that we have to register to get in with e travel, and then register to leave and get a QR code to leave the country I sure hope that’s not the case. Great that you are making these updates Jennifer but E Travel now for departure from the Philippines is another deterrent for foreign tourists to visit the Philippines! I hope to be there again in May this year but will not have my PC to fill in my exit E Travel only my Mobile so hopefully no issues with that?
There will be no departure card anymore. From May 1st on. Its all included in this ETravel process. ...
They should only implement the e-travel departure registration to Philippine passport holders not to foreign passport holder. Foreign passport holders never filled the departure card from the Philippines before.
Makes traveling more stress
Philippine Airlines now requires US citizens to have a VISA if you plan to buy round trip tickets exceeding 30 days. There must be a way around this - by booking a flight less than 30 days and rescheduling the return ticket once there.

Governments need to do a clean sweep at the airport from commissioner to securities. It's getting out of hands. You should have a position at the airport because you know a lot what travelers needs.
The fact that it takes a while to respond to inquiries, and questions makes me wonder who is monitoring, and how often they monitor it.. Are we just filling it out or is there a real use for this process??
Oh no ! Travelling from Manila to Singapore return on 21st April 😬 , so now departure and arrival etravel ? Why ? One Filipino , one foreigner ! I bet this will be a pain in the butt ?
Add to this all the paperwork my partner has had to get signed to leave the country because she is a government worker , it's a paperwork and online nightmare 😕

Gets more complicated every day. Foreigners never had to do a dec card document upon exit before. Foreigners who stayed 6 months or more need ECC to exit already. Foreigners with SRRV already have to do an online exit pass to to depart. And now this too. Would be nice if they would have put this rule out for public comment before inplementation. Kiosks coiuld make things more backed up on exit. Traveling is complicated and stressful enough without this new complication. Many problems with this that will be discovered, by the public. Sana all.

Thanks for the video Jennifer. I've travelled to many countries across the globe. Philippines I always felt had too much red tape! Every country should be vigilant on those arriving but, departing for foreign nationals?
I am British, before I would turn up at the airport, ignore all those fees you guys have to queue for and pay, get my passport checked and wait for my plane. Now I feel I got to justify my leaving, very peculiar. But then, some officials have always been like this.
2016, there with my husband, well, fiancé then heading off to HK for a few days. Official at the airport demanded to know where was I going after Hong Kong? I told her I was returning to the Philippines and she wanted to know why?! I said, to spend more time with family so she wanted to know who's family! Eventually she accepted my explanation and then wanted to know when I intended to leave the Philippines? I'll be honest, I did make a comment to her like she wasn't making me feel like I was welcome there, giving her country a bad name. I showed her my return ticket and she was satisfied. I honestly don't think I look like a person trying to mess up the system.
When my fiancé came to the UK in 2017 for our wedding (because you guys are still in the dark ages on same sex relationships), he'd asked all the questions and thought he had all the paperwork but no, they offboarded him and made him go speak to someone about human trafficking! He was a respected teacher over there and they treated him like he was an idiot! Cost a lot of money to pay for a new flight too.
Now, he's a British citizen too and we have to justify why we are coming home I guess! It's crazy. At least he doesn't have to pay exit fees any more!
Not really good for our elders or kabayan who are not computer savy. Should give assistance to this kind of passengers. So dapat if less paper na dapat mas mabilis na ang pag interview para hindi na off load ang mga pasahero.
I think the best time to travel to another country will be 2024- 2025 it's up to you you want to go to the Philippines or Thailand more easy on your paperwork
Last month, nobody asked me for showing Arrival card anymore. At NAIA. First time nobody asked me.
