Hi Claudia! I personally love these videos the most when you demonstrate on primary and intermediate Dancers because this is the level of coaching that I am at and when the dancers are not advanced already in the demonstrations it is easy for you to make bigger and very precise corrections and it is very clear to see the corrections you are making when they are not super subtle on advanced dancers. I loved this video!! Thank you so much! and GREAT JOB KADELLE!! I'm sure she is dancing BRILLIANTLY now 4 years later!
I miss dancing so much I lost everything and had to let everything go and it was so traumatic, I wish I could have kept going and then I would have been so good at it today. But I'm working my way back and I'm starting to dance a little more at home, you really really really inspire me and everyone should have a dance teacher as lovely as you!😢💕💕💕 *Thank you*
Sabrina Villa Traumatic things started happening when I was really young and I moved to an other city and I got really really sick (mentally) so I couldn't do anything and I lost part of my family and my body to an eating disorder. I had to stop with everything I couldn't even go to school anymore 😕 Plus I'm autistic. But I will be forever grateful to my mother who saw at an early age that it was easier for me to express myself through music, dance and art😊 I understand I will never become a pro dancer BUT I will always be a dancer in my *heart* ❤
I really love how you get deep into the technique and body position corrections. Unfortunately, I've never had those where I used to dance. I've taken up dancing again after about 11-ish years and I will definitely be coming to your videos to gain my strength and technique back with major improvements, I hope :D
This is absolutely wonderful - love watching your attention to details and elaboration on alignment! (Also a great reminder that ballet requires lots of concentration in the mind.) Keep them coming!
i love your videos especially about the shoulder blades! never heard about it and ive always been told about pushing my shoulder down but instead looks like im slouching
I did ballet for 5 years, and then stopped because I was going into high school, and I am so sad I stopped, because I would be on pointe by now. I just started ballet again this year, and am really struggling to catch up. These videos have helped me a lot with my technique, balance etc. Thank you so much Claudia. xx
Thank you so much. I always practiced turns in my modern and ballet class this week, but I still need a lot of practice. It is really nice to go to this video and hear the things my dance teachers say too again, so that I will remember.
I have just been scrolling through the comments, and I really love that you reply to everyone's comment which is just so sweet of you💜 also, I can't wait to try these tips once I'm in the dance studio! I'm definitely sure they'll help me a lot since I'm not that good in my pirouettes😖
You are always so sweet. I wish you were my dance teacher when I was younger. I’m getting back into dance again and pirouettes have always been hard. Hope I can get good at them.
Thanks Claudia! I'm 27 and just taking up ballet. The half turn exercise has been so helpful for learning where to center your weight. My pirouettes have improved overnight!
I'm a 35 years old ballet student and I'm always struggling with the turns... I will practice what you explained here so I can master it!!! This video is so inspiring ❤️ thank you so much!
Definitely going to be practising this at home. Thank you for sharing. Also, you are a wonderful coach. I have watched a few videos but the way you subtly change your coaching style for the younger dancer is spot on. Inspirational ❤
Just wanted to add to my original comment. With this help of this video I have, after years of struggle as an amateur adult, got my pirouette down. Whilst I used to get it most of the time, I'm now getting it every time, and far more balanced and in control as I turn. Thank you SO much.
Beth Wang Pf course it is I have only been doing ballet for 1 year and using these tips from all of her videos and practicing at home I've gotten to a high level in a short amount of time!
I love you so much! This is perfect for beeginers (means me). Your such an optimistic and smiley person, thanks for sharibg your knowledge, energy, positive vibes and passion! Kiss from Poland
Hi Claudia I love your videos. I want to find your other video in which you explained the scapulas in my detail. Can you please kindly share the link to that video? I watched this videoany times but I still haven't figured out how to place shoulders correctly. I hope your other video will help me. Thanks so much.
I love your style of teaching so much so I thought I'd ask you if you can give me any simple exercises so I don't loose the strength in my foot while it's healing. I just sprained my ankle and I'm so sad I have my state comp this weekend😣
Hi Mia, my sister had sprained/fractured both of her ankles in the past, so she recommends 20 slow calf raises on a foam balance board every day, this will help the sore ankle gain strength, also balancing on the foam balance board for 20 seconds everyday on the sore ankle will also help a lot (so only on one leg, try with your eyes closed as well). If you don't have a balance board, doing these exercises without it is completely fine! If you need further help, i definitely recommend seeing a physio! xo
I love your videos and I learn sooo much from them! I was just wondering if you could do a video on being on top of your legs? My teacher is often telling me that I need to get higher up on my leg and I just don't know how to do it! I have a hard time doing tendues in the center and maintaining my turnout due to this.
That was a helpful video. I'm in my early 30s and have developed a bit of a fear of going for multiple pirouettes. Part of it is that I have trouble spotting from a neck injury, but sometimes I worry about getting out of control and come off/ go lower on relevee . So I'm hoping that practicing pirouettes by 1/4, 1/2, and single turn will get me more confident and stronger.
I love your chanel! Do you have tips for attitude derriere and develope derriere? I always struggle not to drop my knee while extending from attitude to arabesque
My pirouettes are really bad so this might help me but I'm really nervous because I have a competition on Saturday but I find it really hard to land them perfectly and when I kinda do my turn is really messy thanks for the tips this is the best channel ever
Hello Claudia! I have a question about weight distribution...I was tought to distribute the weight in both legs during plié, but I've seen some techniques say to transfer the weight to the supporting leg; which one is correct?
Have you got any tips for double pirouettes? I'm from England and for R.A.D intermediate ballet, we have an exercise where we have to do pirouettes en dedan, but doubles! I can't seem to get enough power to go round twice and stay controlled. have you got a tips? my dance teacher gave me advice but I still can't seem to get doubles and I need to be able to hit them every time. Thanks xx
She has such nice hands for a dancer as young as her. Maybe it's the training over in England, though. There was never much focus on hands at all in my classes in the US,
I am a little confused about spotting. Does your head proceed your body a little, trail behind your body slightly, or does it stay stationary with your body and just your eyes move when doing pirouttes?
Claudia Dean Coaching omg I can't believe u replied!! I love u sooooo much I watch all of ur videos!! U have really helped me improve! I wish I could have a lesson with u!!😘😘😘
Alesha Mead There will be plenty, as it is where the RAD is based, which is one of the main ballet syllabuses, so I would just use Google, and ask around your home town/city
Can anyone recommend what brand of ballet shoes to get? I ordered Bloch ballet shoes on Amazon and I haven't gotten them yet. Does anyone know if they're good? Suggestions would be great! Thanks 😃😃
Deer Claudia, please help me. I have a question. I love dancing and would like to get a professional. But I do not have the right hips for ballet. I can't turn out 100% and do the middle split. So is it possible for me to dance professional? And thank you for your❤ videos❤. They help me a lot and inspire me day by day.
i really like your videos, but I was confused in this pirouette video u didn't tell her to open her right arm in second in the preparation before the pirouette.
samibilly that's a stylist choice to open your rounded arm and usually used for at least doubles to gain momentum. You don't need to for a single since so little force and momentum is needed.
I am not doing ballet but jazz. My pirouettes are always my weakest part. My teacher said it is because my core is weak. Do you have any suggestions how to improve my core and my pirouettes?
Hello, I am from South Korea. And I am a ballet student in a ballet academy in Seoul Korea. Your youtube videos really helped me in improving my skills. I wish to buy your CD that you are selling( I think??). I want to be taught by you, because I think that your a good teacher. I'm still not on point shoes by the way....
My name is Alyssa and I'm 9 years old. I'm your fan, I'll follow you on you tube. You're beautiful and I dream one day to be like you. Great dancer. Thank you for inspiring me. Kisses.
Thanks even though I’m 2 years late. I used to be quite decent at single pirouettes but ever since I started Intermediate Foundation they started getting worse.
Great explanation and demonstration. I took up ballet for the first time ever last year at age 47 so these tips are really helping. Thank you.
Marilyn Devonish These tips will be perfect for you Marilyn 😊
Are you still going? Starting at 47 is so cool 😊
I starting at 12 I have big goals i m working on it tho❤
