Why am I here. It's 4am and I've never done ballet.
cheery folderol lol lol
S a m e
lol I love doing ballet
sklart relatable
RainSwirl98 bruh don’t tell her to stop
Am i a dancer? No. Am i gonna do this anyway? Yes
👍 love that
Lol mood
studysew I love this comment!
Lol
@DALAPATI SANITRA very irrelevant XD
She really makes those fouettes look much easier than they are. Just wow.
that's pretty much all of ballet...making things look effortless when they are absolutely not 😂
@@thecomorbiditycurator8018 When you learn true technique everything is very simple. Still lots of hard work.
@@SP.Addams we are saying the same thing
sometimes the leg drops below ninety
umm mine doesn't drop, its already down there
Daisy same 😭
I did dancing for 11 years and I can't get my leg much higher than 45° no matter how hard I try 😖
@@A_keo Its so annoying right
@@Daisy-xm7gx tell me about it. I want to try improving my flexibility, but I don't really know where to begin
AK it’s not about flexibility(it does play a party tho) it’s about strength. Not your quads but your hamstrings and inner thing.
I'd love to see a video on how to increase the arch of your foot
Love Tia Stay tuned as I have a video releasing soon on how to improve your legs & feet!😄💖
Love Tia me to😁
lol I have a huge natural arch and I don't even do dance
@@jasmine-010 yeah, i can almost touch my toes to the ground when i point and its natural. but i do do dance so...
pastelqueen same and I always over-arch my foot and it gets sore after I dance
I know I’m late but I wish you did this with someone who couldn’t do fouttes, it would make it easier
You need to be able to do basic fouettés first, before perfecting them, just work on your arch and not suckling that’s the biggest part
hi Claudia! I'm 14 and I started dancing about 8 months ago, so I struggle with alot of things, but I most would like to improve my turnout. could you maybe make a video for exercises to do to improve turnout?
emma elizabeth 18 same, i started doing ballet after the summer so I hope these videos help
keep your eye out for more videos to come xx
emma elizabeth 18 if you want to improve your turnout you can try a strattle on the ground and hold your arches. Sorry if this was confusing. Good Luck!
Emma Domschot I hope you can achieve what you want I've been dancing in ballet for 5 years now. And I still have ALOT to learn isn't that amazing. The teenagers in my studio are amazing and I look up to them and there supper nice I cannot wait until I can get taught by the same teacher as them!
Emma Domschot I'm 10 and I started when I was 5 or 6 and I'm in a class with 16 year olds
What an excellent student. She is very Advanced . Brilliant video...
Stewart Harvey-Wilson She is beautiful ! 😃😍
Stewart Harvey-Wilson she goes to my dance
what is her name??♥
SvetlanaSavelieva Official her name is Heidi
wow
how about fouettes en pointe? I'm fine in my slippers. I can get to 32 but pointe shoes I'm lucky to get to 16
Omg same, I can get like 30 with my ballet flats, but in pointe shoes I can only make a good 20 or so
Juliet the dancer i can only do two in flats I don't take class, but I turn for fun. You must have great balance!!
Joy Jin Same, I'm watching this cause I'm trying to teach myself (I'm a gymnast)
+KU Random r u gonna use them in your floor routine or r u just learning them for fun, bc it might work a little different for a gymnast as u do it barefoot on a spring floor and we do it in ballet flats and pointe shoes on a dance floor.
Juliet the dancer Its sorta more for fun, but I guess I could use it for gymnastics for higher levels when I need to do more difficult turns...
I'm glad to see such a good quality channel getting subs so fast, I mean it's only been a month since you started uploading! :) but I think you deserve 100k lol. A video idea: I love videos of people's dance/stretching routines, so maybe a video of daily dance exercises that you would recommend for students would be good (like outside of class)
Grace Denton Thankyou for your kind words! I just love creating videos and will definitely create one of those videos for you 😄💖
can you do a vid telling beginner dancers the name of all of the moves please I have to study them and a vid would help
Vedeliana Valerius j do believe she said *beginner* the keyword was beginner so before you be rude and call somebody a non dancer shut the fuck up and read their words carefully you jackass.
@Vedeliana Valerius She said clearly *beginner* you illiterate shit
Can ppl stop cursing please?
@@peepoo6623 UA-cam ain't family friendly. Maybe go on a more kid friendly website like UA-cam kids.
@Evelyn Yeet no need to be rude sh*t b she was being nice but I’m not gonna be if you bully her like that
Never knew that having your leg under 90 would make it harder! Thank you so much! x
Hannah Newton Anytime! Thankyou for your support xx
When I do my fouettés I always hop. Can anyone leave any suggestions? Or leave some tips. That would be great help! Thank you so much!!😃
SAME! No idea how to stop hopping
I always imagine going up a straw as it increases balance in the right position and stays on balance on the ball of your foot. Also the string technique ^^ is great
Use you plie hit the front position and pull up sorry this is late
I do to
this comment was a long time ago but just for anyone who has the same question- i couldn’t stop hopping in turns, but now i don’t do it at all, you have to make sure you connect your plié to your turn, for every single pirouette. make sure you push through the floor and pull up, because if you are just relevé without pushing down, it’s just basically physics will make you be jumpy and not able to turn. I hope this helped anyone who needed help!
Who would LOVE Claudia as a coach? She’s so nice and has good advice
I can see why she was chosen to the Prix!!
I am 70 am just learning fouettes after two years of beginning ballet. The ballet for seniors is a joke as they only do baby ballet. Better to take a regular ballet class even though you may be the oldest.
Heidi is seriously incredible!! I hope that my fouettes look as good as hers one day 😭😭 I will keep practising
i wonder if you mastered them 3 years later!
this helped me alot! im selfthaught and do foettes the way i think its done. now i know the proper way to do it and it already looks alot better
Im glad to hear that xo
That’s amazing,
I can only do five fouetté turns because no one actually taught me...so yeah I'm pretty bad
Practice makes perfect! Keep going! xx
I can only do 1 cause no one taught me XD
I can do 0
Squishyland yea same except I can only do 3-4 I suck at it though
no one ever taught me either they just hope i figure it out, im v bad too
"Left glute" -points at hamstring
No matter what videos I watch and how much I try I just can't get it
Practice makes perfect - you can do it! xo
Keep practicing and try spotting some things and going up and down on releve
make sure when you spot you whip your head around really fast
I would love to train with you!😭 but I live in england😢 you are amazing and the tips are so helpful, thankyou so much!!💖💖💖
Thankyou for your kind words and I'm glad you love my videos :)
Same
Could you do a similar video for a la seconde turns? Your videos are so helpful, I love that you give specific exercises for each tip!
Stay tuned for more videos to come xx
This helped me sooo much I have been trying to find a video that actually helps. Great job on the video btw
Yay that's what I love to hear xxx
This is absolutely brilliant. I had many teachers try to explain to me how to do these turns but they never had me do exercises like this! Thank you so much!
no worries at all xx
Hey I was actually trained to cross the working leg to the side like you mentioned before going to devant. Interesting. I mean when my teacher taught us that style of the fouette she also explained the way you mentioned, but she prefers us to cross it.
And as always great video! I learned a lot! Thank You!!!
Dancing For My Savior me too
That was so interested make more my little daughter is practicing those and she needed help thank you.
I am an Italian girl but I understand almost all the words in your videos. I hope I wouldn't make mistakes in this comment.
I want to thank you for all the passion that you put in every videos, I would like to teach dance one day and I hope I'll be a fantastic teacher like you :)
thank you for the tips I'll use them a lot :)
could you do a video about how to improve turns on pointe? 🙏🏽 love your channel!! 💖
Marina Pattinson Styles Coming and creating soon! Stay tuned 😍
this helped me so much!!💫I have to learn that for my floor excersize (I'm a gymnast) and you explain things sooooooo much better then my coach💕Thank you so much!!!💙
Lindsay Marie Hello, how are you doing? I love gymnastics, and sometimes it makes me sad when I see gymnasts doing messy triple or quadruple turns instead of clean doubles. Many gymnasts have so much power and have far too much speed and momentum. I had the same problem (I used to do rhythmic gymnastics). Then I got a new coach, and she made me do very slow turns at the beginning, and I improved so much in a couple of hours
I'm better at turning on pointe, anyone else?
Claire Bear Dancer i just hate flat shoes in generally
Meee
It’s just easier because you have a flat box to stand on.
I’m getting pointe shoes next week and I barely know any of those words!! XD T^T
when you’ve done ballet from 4 to 13 years but had to quit and now you’re 17 and you miss dancing so you’re watching this video at 5 am
Can you do a video of how to turn with your bad leg?
She’s a great dancer, but at the end when she put it all together, her arms weren’t in 2nd! 🤦🏼♀️😂
This helped me so much! Could you please do a video with some basic exercises for strengthening your feet for pointe and your pointe work?!
Valencia Hochberg Coming and creating soon! 😍
check my channels
This is what dance moms got me to 😅
Love this video! I would love to see more videos en pointe! :)
Hi, Yes I will try to do some videos en pointe for you :)
This is so advanced to compared to where I am now, but I'm still learning a lot!
Practise makes perfect Layla xx
Thank you Claudia! I'm an older beginner, but I'm working my way slowly and surely. I have pretty good balance but I've got a lot of weakness in my posture. A nice tour-jete is on my list of things to nail.
the student dances really good... could you give her name then i could suscribe to her channel... :)
I appreciate you as a humble person,as a brilliant teacher and beautiful dancer! And I love your high quality content! :-)
Hi from a teacher of ballet in Sweden! I LOVE this video and the preciseness pf your student BUT do you not feel that the supporting leg and the relevé should have be mentioned?
The Swedes tend not to relevé - they teach strong rises. I am British and for us, relieves are all-important!!! I want to show my students this video, as we will be working om fouetté turns this year, but feel that the lack of mention of the relevé and the supporting leg makes me dubious as to whether to show them or not.
What are your thoughts on this?
THANK YOU!
Susan
Can you make a video for attitude turns?
Stay tuned for more videos to come xx
I've quickly become obsessed with these videos. You are such a great instructor, I'll definitely be incorporating stuff I've learned here into my lesson plans.
Beautiful 💗 (I'm from Czech republic) 💗💗💗
What a beautiful place, I'm jealous!! xx
Claudia Dean Coaching :) :) ❤
You're such a fabulous dance teacher. I love your videos! ❤
So I’m doing a summer technique for dance and it’s basically auditions to get in a higher class in dance and I haven’t done dance but my fire dance wants me in her class so I decided to do it with her I pick up on the choreography fast but I haven’t been able to do the turns so I’m trying to learn them quickly so I can get better and possibly get in a higher class and yes I know I might not get run a higher class cuz I have never done any type of dance but I did tumbling and I can pick up on choreography fast
Thank you so much for the amazing tips! I was wondering if you might be able to do a video on increasing turnout?
lily T. Creating and coming soon! Stay tuned 😉
Claudean should be your nickname
The way she pronounces retire kind of bothers be but it's because I live in America so we pronounce it differently
As a lifelong dancer & former dance instructor, fouettes & pirouettes on pointe are much harder than on demi. She is amazing!
I’ve been dancing for 14 years and I still can do more that 2 I always fall back or my leg pulls me over or I fall away from my leg😤
Around the 4 minute mark in the video when you were talking about using resistance while lowering, you said "glute" but pointed to her hamstring (at least that's how it looked to me). I was wondering if you could clarify?
Correct!!!
carlyheartsdance ur glute is ur butt
carlyheartsdance it looked like she was pointing there but she was pointing at her bottom. "Glute" is your butt.
I Love ballet but prefir gymnastic
What helped me do spotting correctly without getting dizzy, is to NOT whip your head around yet, until you feel your neck bunch up and feel strain, THEN whip your head around! I was always whipping my head way too early and getting very dizzy!
I have 3 years off from my dance company, figured why not improve turns
I've been dancing for 7 years now (I'm 13) but I still really struggle with fouettés. This video helped me alot, thank you !
Hi after 5 years
I’m 11 can do a fweta but it looks bad and I rlly want to get ahead at dance to get better lol hopefully helps Jesus loves you
Such quality content! This is by far my favourite ballet channel :)
thank you again
Tip number 7 really helped wow I wasn't expecting it to
this helped me so much!!! thank u guys:))
hannah kim Thankyou for your kind words! 😍
Am I a dancer. Yes. Do I know how to fouetté. yes. Am I going to watch it anyway. YEA

heidi is such a beautiful dancer :)
You are really perfect! Your videos are helpfull and i really apreciate the fact that you are trying to give your best advice you have to all of us! I think that a video with back flexibility would be really helpful! Keep going!! 😄💖
LOVING your support so much xx
Just wanted to let you know that your videos are very user friendly. I have never ever done Ballet before and I’m quite heavy in muscles (5’6 and 145 pounds) but I was able to do two consecutive ones without any prior knowledge!
please give a dance for those who have never even done ballet
Well I’m here because I have no self confidence...my teacher is making me do eight fouetté’s and a triple pirouette out of it for a duet I’m competing in two weeks. Two weeks...that means I have two weeks to master fouettés, and I haven’t really even practiced them much...anyway, great video and thank you! Let’s all pray and hope I won’t screw them up...please!!😬🤞
Thank you very much for all the great tips
A couple of quick questions... 1. You say glute, but point to the hamstring. Are you meaning the connection between the glute and hamstring? Looks like you're talking about the lateral hamstring? 2. Why do you not like the opening to the corner? Is it a rhythm thing? Thanks for the video! And AMEN on the arms in second thing!
This is amazing video. Thanks! Can you do a video on effective exercises on turnout? I am always getting feedback about my turnout. My hip is very flexible, but somehow i just don't know how to turn out more.
There are many more videos to come - keep your eyes peeled for them xx
Wow she is just as good as Primrose:)
Can you do tips on turns and how to start them? I can do barely do a good pirouette and an amateur fouetté. Most of the turn videos on UA-cam are how to do a pirouette but I just want tips on turns in general. Hopefully you find this and if you do, do a video on it I would be very happy since my dance studio doesn’t really teach us turns.
Am I a dancer here at 1:00AM because I need help with these before I go to dance class in a couple days cause everyone can do them except me? Yes, yes I am. 😭
Thanks. Very concise and explanatory👍
Claudia all your students are beautiful dancers!! Love love your channel. Thank you for making these videos to help another fellow dancer who wants to dance on point. :) lots of love from Arizona !
This is one of the most excellent videos I've ever seen. Thanks and congrats!
Wow, before watching your video I couldn't do a fouette at all. Now I can do it a little bit 😂😊
Hola, sería posible agregar subtítulos a los videos en español? Sería de mucha ayuda. Ml gracias.
could you do version of this or pirrouttes and fouttes on pointe
Stay tuned for more videos to come xx
Holy schmolly that's impressive. Respect!
Thanks heaps Justin! :)
😘😘😘Thank you Claudia, that is so helpfull
my problem is that i can’t spin around
i always fall down :(
what should i do?
Gloria Cloudrock same!
I'm too Australian and I do ballet
Woohoo! xx
Thank you very much!! helps me a lot and teach me so much!! she is a great dancer and you a great teacher
hugs from Colombia!
First in the comments! Keep making videos, Claudia! They have helped me so much. I have been watching your videos for while and now that I am currently attending a new dance studio, everyone is telling me that I am really good it is more than likely your videos that have helped my so much! Could you do a video on middle splits?
Amirah k. That is fantastic news and glad you enjoy my videos 😄
Help middle split ? Is that second
Keep strong. Dont forget that despite the struggles in this world, God is full of justice, mercy and love.
Justice said we broke His perfect law - causing the world's previous perfection to be destroyed - and therefore we deserve Hell (like a punishment in any legal system but this is eternal as His perfect law is eternal too). Don't think you fit in that category? Ever done one of these?: lying, stealing - regardless of how small the object EVER, hating others - which is murder in God's perfect law, lusting (plus God sees our entire thought life). Justice says "the soul that sins shall die" - if we break one in thought/word/deed it's as if we're guilty of all of them. Quite simply, living by the law (which is doing everything perfectly) is impossible for sinful humans
. The law shows us that 1. We will die in Hell if we fail to follow it and 2. We cannot save ourselves BUT, 3. God's perfect, immovable law points us to Christ, who followed and fulfilled the law in thought, word and deed perfectly in our place. He did what we couldn't and did it on our behalf. He was then sentenced to death on a cross, and took our personal punishment for our sin, paying our penalty (like paying our fine) completely FOR us, and has given us freedom.
If we turn from the sins we have committed and repent (pursue the opposite direction of love through Christ) He will, overtime, recreate us back into that previously perfect image through The Holy Spirit which Jesus sends to all who accept Him as their personal Lord and Savior of their life. He will help us through the struggle, the stress, and anything we experience in the world. It's about letting Christ in to guide and teach you and obeying Him through His power (not ourselves, we need Him to help us as it's impossible without depending on His power and instruction).
He is our substitute in His life, death and resurrection. He essentially rewrote history in our place so that, if you believe in Him, it will be as if you had never sinned if you accept Christ's death as our own in our place.
He is in Heaven right now preparing a place for us so that He can take His faithful, believing children home with Him when He returns. He will ressurrect us from death when He returns, giving mercy to those who accept His love, instruction and teachings in their life, and give justice to those who refuse it.
He doesn't want ANY of us to go to Hell and die for continuing in evil and rejecting His way to life, thats why He died FOR us. Hes giving EVERYONE a chance, He wants everyone to take the free gift of salvation from Hell. He wants us to be His and begin to follow His life of love and service through His power and abiding (staying) with Him. So long as we keep our hearts near to Christ through His strength, strive to follow His will of perfect love revealed in the Bible, and let Him lead in the midst of (very certain) pitfalls and struggles, we will, in time, win the ultimate victory over sin, pain and DEATH through Christ. Even if you are willing to be made willing, pray for Jesus to come in and He will do what we can't. Give us The Holy Spirit who will guide us in the right way.
Christ says in John 16:33: I have told you these things, so that in Me you may have [perfect] peace. In the world you have tribulation and distress and suffering, but be courageous [be confident, be undaunted, be filled with joy]; I have overcome the world.” [My conquest is accomplished, My victory abiding.]
- (AMPLIFIED version)
NOTE: You are NEVER too sinful or messed up that God cannot turn your life around through Jesus. EVER. Regardless of what you've done or what you're going through you CAN make it through Jesus.
If you have any questions let me know xxx
Is it wrong to rise on releve when you come to passé? Instead of to second?
i’ve been doing fouettes for a while but i want to make them stronger!hope this works !
I can’t get the momentum to get around, any tips?
Good luck!!!
Hi! Please help me. I am 11 years old, and I really wanna start at ballet. I don’t know if it is too late to start. Please help me! ❤️😣
Am I a Bellet dancer? Yes. Can I do this? Heck no.
Can someone give me tips on balancing?
i was always taught to spot the corner than open front?
I started contemporary two days ago and I want to get the turns correct even if I’m new... does this still help??
This helped so much! In my dance studio they don't even teach fouetté turns until much older but I still just wanted to try lol. I was really bad at it but thinking about making the first one really fluid was insanely helpful!!
Her lines and extension are gorgeous bruh
She's so amazing
Am I even a ballerina???? NO But I'm gonna learn the turn because I suck😟
I kinda want to learn ballet but I’m 11 and not sure if I’m to old tos tart
