So the whole thing with Val’s red saliva is actually something clever. Angel is based on a spider (hence all the arms and eyes), and Val is based off a moth. Specifically one that poisons prey with a psychedelic. So the song literally talking about how the poison is so addictive is literal as well as metaphorical. Angels story is heart breaking. And Husk, my favorite character btw, trying to be there for him in the only way he knows is amazing. Loser Baby is tied for my favorite song, and a straight up bop.

Episode 4 is a real heartbreaker, but at least it ends on a high note. It’s one of the reasons why much of the fan base wants to see Angel and Husk get together sometime in the series. It may not sound like it but factoring in when they died and how long they’ve both been in Hell, they’re pretty much the same age as each other.
Hazbin is pretty well known for how many of its characters are LGBT, in fact out of the whole cast, Niffty is the only straight character. They’re as follows.
1. Charlie and Pentious are both bisexual
2. Vaggie is a lesbian and is currently dating Charlie.
3. Angel is gay.
3. Husk is pansexual.
4. Alastor is asexual, explaining why he’s so repulsed by Angel’s advances in the first episode.
Im Asexual myself so knowing Alastor is one makes me connect to him more! (Also Niffty being the only straight one in the cast is hilarious 😂)
