Amazon reviews with 1 star are pointing to dent while delivering the product and plastic hinge breaking after a couple of months.Did they fix the plastic hinge issue?
Will a regular trash bag work? As far as showing while it's closed.

not with the top flap. but you can when you lift up the second flap used fro replacing the bag.
Yes, it can. It has a red latch you click to keep it open. It's usually on the right side, but it can vary by model

The lid closes really slowly, must be hummin
