Thank you! I bought all the cables but could not find the settings until I watched your video! It's tricky how the option does not even show up until you plug in the correct cables. No help lookup either
DUDE!!!! Nice setup!!!
I'm SOOOOOOO glad I ran across this posting!
this was super helpful thank you!
Lovelyyy video. Very informative. It's been a year now since you uploaded this... I plan on using the Rode Go 2 with my Pixel 6 pro with the native Google camera app. Does the sync issue still exist?
I haven't used the rode go 2. I ended up upgrading to the DJI wireless mics. They've been flawless thus far.
@@khanceptbelal... Thank you... That's valuable insight. 🙏
Thank you! I'm going going to buy the adapter just in case my wireless microphone will not work with my Google Pixel 7a when it arrives (I just ordered it).
USB C to USB C data cable connected directly to the receiver and phone works also n will give 100% lossless audio ... sometimes the dongles depending where u get them are bad quality and the sound is not nice, data cable precludes that risk
My Pixel 6 will not find the Rode Go 2 with any USB C to USB C cable.
Filmic pro ftw! But have you tried the filmic remote too so you could have a second phone control your main phone and see that you're framed properly in the rear camera
I have not tried the remote. We'll check it out. Might give me some do use for my old phone
@@khanceptbelal It's a little finicky but when you get it to work it's pretty nice. Instead of doing the wifi direct like it says to do I had to turn the hotspot on for the second phone to connect, just in case if the regular way doesn't work
Tried regular wifi first, connection kept timing out. Then attempted hotspot. Timed out again. Wifi-direct however worked flawlessly. This is great!
@@khanceptbelal Ohh nice nice
Appreciate the video! I got my Rode Wireless today, I bought a 3.5mm to usb c, but I think perhaps it isn't compatible? The Rode SC16 looks like the cable that I need instead? I have the red cable that comes with the rode, I guess I need to look for a "mic" adapter. Do you perhaps have a link to the one that you used? I get audio from the onboard mic, but now when I select the external mic and I do see levels on the receiver, again thank you.
First you'll want to get a patch cable. This is the one I have: www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00L6C8T22/
and then you'll want an adapter that connects the patch cable to the Pixel. I got this one here: www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07Y84WXBX/
Did you ever get this fixed? Did you get the SC16 cable?
Big thank you. Have been trying to solve the Rode w/ Pixel connection issue for a while now
SUPER HELPFUL! Thank you!
Thank you!!! super helpful!
I am new to the Rode line, at 3:47 you had the receiver clipped to your pixel phone, was that just using the clip that game with the rode?
Yup.
Do you know of this works for other wireless microphones? I have a pixel 6pro and im looking at extrmal mics. Im unsure if I should get a usbc or 3.5mm "system". And the recquired adapters.
Any advice for using an external mic on Android for Instagram or Facebook LIVE?
I don't think there's going to be any uses streaming. My experience with sync problems have been limited to recording video
I think this only works with the OEM Google USB-C to 3.5 mm adapter, right? I bought a generic one and my phone doesn't show any settings for a microphone. Super confused.
The part that's connecting into the USB adapter, does it have three black rings or two?
Three, but it is working now somehow. All the connections were correct, but the settings only now showed up after I first connected everything else before finally plugging into the phone usb-c. Thanks! @@khanceptbelal
Hi. What is your connector cable brand? I tested with other cables and no connected! Please tel me the cable in this video brand. Thank you my friend 💕

what do you call the 2-3 jack?
3.5mm TRS to TRRS Cable
I use my Pixel 7pro to livestream church services, got all the cables you mentioned for my wireless microphone (Comica Boom X-D), including the three ring to two ring 3.5mm audio cable, and only when I record through the FilmicPro app can I see the reading of the audio from the wireless mic working. Thanks! HOWEVER, how can I access the Filmic app when livestreaming from the phone? If someone has ideas, I'd really be appreciative.
I'm not sure if filmic pro supports live streaming. Historically they haven't. Here's how we've approached using streamyard. The cell phone part begins at around 9min 20 seconds:

@Creative Khancept Thanks for the response and reference. I watched the Streamyard cell phone setup from the video and liked it. His setup wasn't with a Google Pixel, and the audio cord setup for the Pixel only works with Filmic Pro so far. We were using OBS w/a Sony A7c to stream worship at our old location, but we have poor internet reach in our new location, forcing me to use the Google Pixel for livestreaming. I am contemplating using Filmic Pro to record and upload the worship services to social media afterwards, but would prefer a livestream fix.
@@charles6724 I've subbed in my pixel in place of the iphone in the showcased example and works without an issue. Just need the appropriate 3-line cable for the rode mic.
with regard to the A7C setup via OBS, is hotspotting via phone not an alternative to the poor wifi connection?
@Creative Khancept thanks for the quick response. I tried the 3 line cable setup without Filmic Pro and the audio wouldn't register. I didn't hear you mention Filmic Pro on the Streamyard setup, so I assumed you weren't using it there. I will try the Hotspot alternative and if OBS still drops frames during livestream, I will swtch up and get a c clamp cell phoner holder for my pulpit which I think is less obstructive than having a stand/tripod in front of it. The phone will be close enough to me that I won't need my wireless microphone, but using my DSLR + OBS would be the preferred setup.
I have the google pixel 7 pro and i have right cable, dongle and i still can't get it to work... i think it is a software issue. please help!
mine works when installing FilmicPro
Is google pixels video recording software still bugging with the rode wireless go?
Previously it wasn't just with the rode, but any microphone plugged into the phone externally. I haven't tried it lately. Do you have a microphone (maybe even a wired one) that you can test with?
@@khanceptbelal Hi! No but I am thinking of buying a Google Pixel 7 pro and also a Rode Wireless GO II. I currently record with a OnePlus oneplus nord 2 (with horrible camera) and Rode Lavalier Go (and I record with Open Camera because OnePlus original video recording software does not allow external mic... So bad!)
@@WW2SolitaireBoardGameChannel have you tried third party apps like open camera or filmicpro?
@@khanceptbelal Yepp I use open camera. I wonder if it's compatible with the røde wireless?
@@WW2SolitaireBoardGameChannel generally any third party app should work regardless of whether you're using the rode Wireless, DJI, or wired mic. That's why I've usually resorted to filmic Pro.
