    Glaring (no pun intended) omission of a recommendation for which lens is best for archery or shooting to highlight contrast or emphasise the gold on the target bullseye. Maybe a new video for archery and shooting. Also, can I suggest that when you show the effect of a lens on your view you include a spectrum or graphic showing the effect on different target colours or an archery AND shooting target itself to show how the yellow bullseye and the outer red, blue, black and white rings would look when wearing them. There is a huge market for archery glasses and not much decent advice out there for people like me thinking of trying some shooting glasses. I’m very happy to be a tester over here across the pond in the UK if you would like some feedback from an active archer?

    i have the vaporwing elite by nike and they definitely enhance the color contrast so not only does it enhance my depth perception, it gives me better awareness of my environment because i can see everything near and far clearer

    Thanks a lot for your very informative video. I’m thinking of buying the relatively new Oakley Sphaera frame (or alternatively the Oakley Sutro Lite). My anticipated usage will be 50% general daily use, 30% outdoor tennis, 20% beach volleyball. Is there an Oakley specific lens that you recommend to me as a good compromise for that would work well for these activities?
    While I understand your general recommendation against polarized lenses while engaging in any kind of ball sports, I am somewhat intrigued by the option of Oakley’s Prizm polarized lenses, especially due to their high quality manufacturing process and previous good experiences with Maui Jim polarized lenses. Therefore perhaps you can recommend both non-polarized and polarized Oakley Prizm options.
    Thank you very much in advance!

      Hi! Amber & Rose are the primary base tints among lenses specific to tennis. There are subtle variations to these colors (i.e. brown, bronze, copper, vermillion) and various tint+mirror combinations that achieve a specific tone to the surroundings on and around the court. Check out Oakley's Prizm Trail, Trail Torch, & Golf. SportRxs Start-to-Finish, Field Day, & Dirtbag lenses, or Smith's Chromapop brown. Hope this helps!

      Great question! While lighting conditions and general surroundings play a big part in determining what lens to get, an amber or yellow tint will help to brighten up the environment while making it easier to spot and track movement among the treeline. Great video - I was hoping you would have covered the transitions lens you sell call "The One II" - I need progressives and it's going to get pricey, so I want to make the right selection. I'm between that one and the Jade Road Prizm that Oakley offers. Just afraid the Road Prizm would be too dark if I needed to wear them inside without wanting to swap glasses.

      Vermillion/ Rose & Amber provide the best contrast for spotting & Tracking a tennis ball in flight. Check out the Oakley Prizm Trail Torch, The A.C.E lens under SportRxs Sport Optimized collection, or Smith Chromapop non-polarized brown.

    Hi, can you please describe how polarization lens can negatively affect depht perception? In my opinion good quality polarization filter can´t.

    • @tylerandersen9410
      @tylerandersen9410 2 роки тому

      That is a great point! There is definitely a big difference between quality vs cheap polarizing filters. At the end of the day, you are cutting light on the horizontal axis. Reducing a whole plane of light has implications no matter how well you make the filter. The potential issue is worth being aware of, at very least!

      That's a great idea! We do not! Something polarized that cuts a lot of light, for sure. I'd vote for Maui Polarized Plus 2 Neutral Grey or Rose, at first thought. Other thoughts - Kaenon ULTRA Brown, Wiley X Captivate Bronze Mirror, SportRx Blackout (for a great prescription option!)

    Gray /black not much use in cycling.you want high contrast lenses, mine have a pinkish/rose tinge and I like wearing these even in overcast conditions. Not too dark.

    Hay brother what would be a good lense for shooting sports like 3 gun

    • @sportrxeyewear
      @sportrxeyewear  3 роки тому +1

      That's a great question! Shooting sports can be tough because the conditions can vary. For 3-gun, I would definitely recommend contrast-enhancement. It will help with the fast pace and constant movement for the targets to stand out and provide additional clarity. How much light you want to be blocked can come down to personal preference, but I would think mid-tint would be best. I like the idea of Rose Copper for you and I am on the fence as to whether you should add a mirror. It would be a good idea for you to reach out to our friendly opticians for all the info you could hope for at (877) 789-3633. They can ask the pertinent questions that need to be asked in order to tailor the options down to what would be most ideal for you!

      You have a lot of good options! My first thought would be the Prizm Field lens. If you are not going for an Oakley frame, then a good brown, non-polarized lens with a flash mirror would serve you really well!

    what would a good all around lens be for a casual lifestyle

    • @sportrxeyewear
      @sportrxeyewear  3 роки тому +1

      Honestly, you can't really go wrong with any color if you're looking for casual use. Just make sure it blocks a good amount of light transmission.
      My favorite all-around lens right now is our polarized Rose Copper lens with a Rose Gold Flash mirror. It's a secret menu item at this time, but if you call us, we can make it for you! You can reach out to our friendly opticians for all the info you could hope for at (877) 789-3633
      If you're wearing non-prescription, you should also check out Oakley Prizm Daily Polarized lenses. My favorite is the Prizm Tungsten Polarized lens!

    I get that you benefit from contrast enhancement but if it comes with too much of color saturation (brown, rose etc), then it's a no thanks. :p

    • @sportrxeyewear
      @sportrxeyewear  3 роки тому

      That's a great point! It is not for everybody, but there is a full spectrum of how much color saturation you get between the different lens techs (and even within the lens techs).
