Since the Mercedes recalls due to HVAC involved various other models than the Mercedes Benz C-Class such as the 2008-2019 C-Class, 2015-2019 GLA Class, etc, the class action lawsuit settlement covers all the cars as mentioned (in order of model years):

GLA - Class (model years 2015-2019);
GLE - Class (model years 2016-2019);
GLS - Class (model years 2017-2019);
GLC - Class (model years 2016-2019);
CLS - Class (model years 2012-2017);
GL - Class (model years 2013-2016);
M - Class (model years 2012-2015);

BG Frigi-Fresh Product Description.
BG Frigi-Fresh PN 708 BG Frigi-Fresh will safely and effectively eliminate foul, musty odors from A/C systems. Automobile air conditioners remove moisture from the air. This moisture can combine with airborne debris and settle in the system evaporator, leading to growth of mold spores and fungi. This, in turn, leads to smelly air blown into the vehicle. These contaminants can potentially cause allergic reactions in vehicle owners. BG Frigi-Fresh: Kills mold, mildew, fungi, and other odor-causing organisms Works without costly manual cleaning of the system Keeps the vehicle interior smelling fresh and clean BG Frigi-Fresh is an EPA and USDA accepted disinfectant, deodorant and sanitizer.

This video might be more than a year old but I just followed your steps and got my Mercedes smelling nice . No more moldy and odd smell. Thank you my friend ❤❤❤
You are more than welcome my friend.☺️
Video was a little long but very informative and entertaining. Also I'm an engineer and I believe your procedure will be very effective.
Thank you my friend 😊
Best explanation I've seen since doing my research for the past few days. Thanks.
Glad it was helpful!
I been collecting around ideas how to do the whole process for my GLC. Since I have zero DIY knowledge, I kind of mess-up the process. Anyway, I took out both filter (hood and cabinet), then I switch off AC to spray/clean. The form then fall in my passenger seat floor. I guessed the form just fall from the fan airway where I clean it. Not sure if the form will still fall if I keep my cabinet filter on.
Anyway, I did it. Took out my filters(two instead of whats instructed in video). Did my clean. Put everything back successfully.(thank god) Now lets see if it improves a lot. 😛😛
Hi my friend my did it work?
@Ivan how long did it last? Was it one year?
The smell are most likely from molds. This doesn’t not kill or remove molds. After couple days the smell will come back.
Hi my friend I don’t know what to tell you but since I made that video my car doesn’t smell like socks anymore. Which product did you use on your vehicle if I may ask?
Thank you for watching 😊
Super effort on this video thank you so much. I have had that stinky smell for a number of months. In a normal car, not a Mercedes it's pretty easy to figure out where to spray. But in a Mercedes you have to take four things apart first ha ha ha ha. I love my E350 and she's worth the trouble
Thank you for watching. I am happy that my video helped you to get rid of the smell 😊
You saved my bacon my friend. Thanks a million!
Glad I could help! 🍻
Thank you!! Great video. showing this the correct way👍🏽....Explains why it didn't work for me the first time.
I’m glad that I can help
Thanks for the tip! Worked great for my GLE 350
Thank you for watching if for some reason the smells return because there is a recall on most of the Mercedes you can do this thing that I did on this video where you can have an easy access ua-cam.com/video/j7bFa5K-kiA/v-deo.html
Are u taking out the the air filter or the cabin air filter?
Yes I do
If I wanted to spray additional cleaner onto the evaporator, how could I access it.
I made a second video where you can see the evaporator And you can spray a lot more if you need to.
Here is the link ua-cam.com/video/MP49tLWDUFs/v-deo.html
The engine air filter and cabin filter are different. I don't think the two have anything to with one another. Spraying the engine filter won't help the smell in your car
What are you talking about ???
?Spraying the engine filter?
I’m sorry but I think you’re confused
Super great presentation and I’m going on a month of good smell.
Nice thank you for watching 😊
I have w211 Mercedes Benz
When I make the temperature on 22 or 24 degree after like 15 minutes on this cooling temperature I smell like heated coolant smell or musty smell for some time and disappear
Can you help me what’s the solution?
Finally thanks for your help videos
Did you try to clean the heat core?
@@Ivan_Neykov no I didn’t try
How to clean that?
Just follow the same steps that I did on my Mercedes, but do it on yours and spray the chemical in to your vent make sure you don’t breathe it
this video should have been 5 min :) but thanks for the tip going to try it on my GLE 450 AMG
Thank you on the next one I will do my best and get it to the point
Best instructions I've seen!! thank you!
Thank you very much I really appreciate it😊
Super helpful, thank you!
Thank you for watching
This totally worked! THANK YOU!!!!
You’re very welcome ☺️ Thank you for watching
Nice video, and Nice job Sir..also thanks for the air filter tip.
Thank you so much I really appreciate it 😊
Hi. I would like to clarify the steps for air conditioner cleaning: 1. max speed ventilator and A/C OFF (or ON?) , with shutter closed?. 2. Spray the chemicals when the shutter open or closed? and then turn A/C On or Off. Windows closed?. Then after 10 min open the windows and Ac On or Off? I didn't understand. Could you please right down the correct steps.
Thanks
Hi my friend I have new updated version on this video ua-cam.com/video/MP49tLWDUFs/v-deo.html let me know which version do you prefer and I will write down everything step by step
Thank you for quick response. I Like the first version. Could you please send me the instruction.
@romab7515 step 1 start a car put fan on max speed turn your climate control all the way down on the coldest site do not turn on the AC step 2 spray the chemical into the vent opening from the outside step 3 turn on the AC please make sure you don’t inhale the chemical step 4 Wait for 10 minutes outside of the car when the car is running and circulating the air with the chemical inside of the car step 5 after 10 minutes again, make sure you don’t breed any other chemicals lower all the windows and turn off the AC. Keep the fan on max speed and wait for another 10 minutes outside of the car step 6 check to see if the car have a chemical smell if it does wait for another 10 minute step 7 Drive around with your windows down for 10 more minutes just to make sure that the chemical is out and you are good to go
Thank you very much. Спасибо
@romab7515 You are very welcome.Приятело мой
Ivan, does this technique work with 2020 gle 350?
Yes as long if you can remove the filters then yes it should work
Is thia working the same way for CLS?
I believe yes
Explains why it didn't work for me the first time.👍👍👍
Thank you for watching
Awesome and detailed video... Best I've seen by far...
Thank you i appreciate it 😊
My Ac/Heater smell like new again lol after this process
Thank you bro!
You are very welcome 😊
Thank you, its a great information
worth to watch 👍
You are welcome my friend 😊
Love them GLS's to my understanding they are made in Alabama I'm not too fond of MB made in Alabama tbh the best MB are made in Germany I don't think Karl Benz would of wanted them made in Alabama all I have is constant issues with my MB made in Alabama
Is that not the recirculation flap you are shutting.?
I believe it is
A video that could have done in 3 mins took 19:20 mins. Too much unnecessary talking, pausing, time wasting.
Thanks for the tips but wasted 19:20 mins of time that could have been done in 3 mins.
Thank you for the feedback I will definitely work harder to get on point.😊
I've had quicker trips to the Dentist, this was like getting Teeth pulled, yet I was watching youtube!
Thank you for watching 😊
@@Ivan_Neykov lol.. Right Response
😂😂😂
Where does the weird sock smell even come from ??? These cars cost too much to have this problem.
It comes from the AC radiator that is underneath the dashboard.
When A hot air travels through the cold radiator creates moisture that gets built up and not properly drained and turns to mold that starts to smell.
You can think as of a swamp that grows in your car.
And yes I do agree if you bought this vehicle brand new it would cost you $80,000 and it’s not fair to have problems like that.
Thank you for watching the video 😊
@@Ivan_Neykov Thank you for sharing, I’ll give it a try when it’s warmer out!
This is a great video. Usually most dealerships and auto garages will simply let off a aircon spray bomb canister in the passenger footwell which sprays chemical everywhere. No doubt this method actually damages the leathers, headliners and trims.
Spraying from the outside seems much more controlled and wouldn't damage any interior surfaces.
So you sprayed when the louver was open (AC off), then closed the louver (AC on) right? Or have I misunderstood?
Thanks, watching from London England
Yes my friend you understand it right Ac off spray the can, then turn on the AC that will close the Louver.
Great video!! Thanks so much
Thank you my friend 😊
thanks for video.
Thank you for watching 😊
useful video..Thanks
You are welcome 😎
Good bro, I like it video
Thank you so much 😀
@@Ivan_Neykov Good bro!
Are these cabin air filters you're removing? I've changed mine on my 2012 GLK350 and they don't look like the one in your video. Despite changing the cabin air filter, it still smells. That's why I'm here. But this doesn't look similar to my car. Thanks for the video
Yes, The filters that I am removing are the cabin filters you are correct. and yes, if you just remove the cabinet filters, it wouldn’t change the air coming in your car because the air first goes through your filter and then hits the radiator inside of the car to cool down or heat up and that’s why your car smells
OMG! Extremely Painful to Watch!
Thank you for watching 😊
@michaelmoraga8508 Make a better video if you’re just going to complain! Everything was explained very well
This video thing is not for you.
Thank you for watching 😊
