There was going to be one under Universal Pictures, but it didn't take long before it got cancelled. We don't know what may have been behind the scenes but perhaps it's better it got cancelled in this timeline.
For anybody who doesn't know this already the cannon ending for army of two 40th day is Rios shooting Salem before Salem shot Fiona and Rios he said that he let Rios shoot him in Shanghai because Rios wanted to save the people
Army of two: unmasked Yea but fr, I think this game has so much potential to do better, in my opinion they only went down with the 40th day, the best was the original.
@@thelocalpeesident7049 you literally came out of no where after 7 months bro, you can't just easily make me be quiet about my own opinion. If you don't recognize that the major graphic difference, ui designing difference and quality of the story between the first entry or the second compared to the devils cartel, thats you. And because I said that it only went down in my opinion doesn't mean I hate it, if I hated it I wouldn't of even been playing it when I was still playing old gen games.
@@Gentle1920 Well the first two were made for the formula of one being chaotic and enemies shooting at him and other being silent, but the third game was juast shoot and shoot and also they made salem bad my favoirite character
honestly I really dont like how Salem became a villian and mass murderer in TDC, it feels so out of character for him. Don't get me wrong, I know Salem is more out for himself, But he wasnt a total dick or completely selfish. He wouldn't let just an innocent die because he wants money, he would never betray Rios after everything they've been through. Even if Rios shot Salem canonically, and even though Salem is still very clearly upset with Rios over that, He still knew why. 70 million people's lives were at stake, He knows that Rios wouldn't have betrayed him without good reason. Rios did it for the greater good, and from the looks of it in TDC he shot him in a non fatal area, despite in TFD he shot him in the chest. Rios could have shot and ACTUALLY killed him, but he didn't. He was able to fool Jonah into thinking he killed Salem, and the minute Jonah gave the order, Rios killed Jonah. Besides, even if you choose to kill Jonah. Salem looks regretful, and even when Rios asks him if hes ready for whats coming. He responds with a quiet "No." If he was selfish and out for himself from the get go, he would've killed Jonah without a second thought. But clearly in that cutscene he couldn't bare the thought that he just doomed at least 70 million if not even more people! Dont get me wrong the Devils Cartel is a good game in my opinion..but story wise...They really ruined my boy Salem. I hope they bring this franchise to PC on steam sometime. It would be an awesome addition for a pretty good game to play with a friend.
Honestly the devils cartel did have good gameplay but the fact they did Salem dirty was bad. Like you said Salem may be in it for money but obviously he had morals. He cared for Rios and Alice alot
even if the reason he went ahead was more for survival, the others were not that far from him when he got into the car so it still does not work as an excuse. probably all just done for a twist villian. to be fair i can undestand why salem would be less forgiving on this in comparrison to the shanghai thing. one case was about the lives of millions, the other a single life. that and he probably expected them to do everything to get a hold of his body to confirm. does that mean i can se him going full on traitor after that? f++k no! an interresting thing i saw when i rewatched the endings of the 40th day, in the salem version of shoot partner ending rios is still about to shoot him, salem is just faster.
@@BanishedSilentShadow3318 I really have the believe that when Alice died, Salem was totally broken... and being left behind (after being shot) really broke him. It´s not the best argumental line, but it´s sort of coherent. Salem was getting closer to Hyde... Even in the first game Salem mindset is quite similar to his, the exception, Rios, he was the one who kept him in line... So being left alone to die... Salem lost everything
@@keithstone8693 It would've made a lot of sense if they decided to bring back Philip Clyde for it. Because it feels like he would've done that to lure Rios and Salem in to it for revenge, honestly wasted opportunity for EA not to do that in TDC.

Big boi and B.O.B getting one shotted lives rent free in my head
This game needs a remake like ASAP On PS5, (whistles) It'll be clean asf.

Devil cartel is best in term of gameplay 👌
Gameplay good. Story was a complete car crash
By the second game you can start telling Salem was no longer that up beat fun guy and was slowly beginning to lose it

1 & 2 were amazing but they absolutely sh*t the bed when it came to 3. Main characters are awful, gameplay sucks and its just not a good game.
