Army of Two has been a low key favorite of ours for a while. I wouldn't consider them great games, but they are really fun to play with a friend. If you want, we'll go back and do the first 2 as well. We randomly wanted to play this one because it's the most recent, but the others were fun as well.
As always, we used relevant gameplay, important dialogue and all cutscenes to create a fluid cinematic experience. We hope you enjoy!

I noticed that Rios has a Semper Fi tattoo when he never served in the Marines. He served in the Army Rangers. Both of them did. Shows how little the these devs cared about the already established lore

Once you get shoot for someone you might act like that I love Rios but compared to Salem he didn’t give a fuck about shooting Salem in the 40th day. Salem he lost his shit you could see that he was sad by his choice
@@xavierpeterson7139 Same here, played with my brain turned off so I wouldn't care about the silly plot, the explosions, and any part of the combat mec hanics of the gameplay was amazing for me. The level design was incredible too, like everyone clearly did a great job- Except the screenwriters...
They need to do a soft reboot of the series. Have Salem getting out of prison and be a protagonist again or scrap the history. What happened to those movie moments where you go back to back???
A reboot would be better. Salem would still fun & still with TWO, Rio's would still have his leg, and a possible Black Ops vibe in a drug war.

Ill say it now the first Army of two had the best characters/ lore/ voice actors period.
Salem and Rios means they chose the " Bad " ending and risked all of China.
I had fun with this game. it was super fun to have one person pushing with a riot shield and the other push with a lmg.
40th's day ending left me pretty sad. Didn't know that Elliot,and Rios were actually in the 3rd game. So I was pretty happy to see them in the beginning.......I'm a little heartbroken by what they did to their bromance. That's sad man that's sad.

They ruined making Salem to be a bad guy and having 2 uknown characters replace Salem and Rios and having a girl that is less important than any character in the franchise
Agree. They need to remake the third game and make Salem and Rios main character again with their old personalities.
I like to view Devil's Cartel as a spin off from the originals. New protagonists, arc, and a radical personality change with Salem and Rios. The game plays well, it just lacks the depth that the previous games had...
as well as the playful nature Salem and Rios had in the first.
The first AoT had the absolute best chemistry, feeling and vibes between the characters, over any other AoT game.
They tried making 40th Day too "serious" and depressing, killed off important characters. In the end, it didn't feel earned, and just feels unecessarily edgy.
As for Devil'sCartel.. I mean. I don't think ANYONE finds Alpha and Bravo NEARLY as loveable as Salem and Rios in the original

As much as we would wanna see another game or at least a reboot it’s 110% that this series long gone. If anything the game should’ve came out when the ps4 first dropped it would’ve likely had more sales and possibly there would’ve been another game. I don’t think there’s any other way that we will get a reboot or a 4th game. Even if 500k people signed a petition for it it still wouldn’t happen.

A remake/reboot is needed. Add a better story, gameplay, & lots more weapons. That's what I'll ask for when that day comes.

@@keithstone8693 Not at all. I was in huge disbelief that he was actually going to be a bad guy. I was expecting a twist where he was actually just playing a double agent and then sides with Rios again. The twist was that he never came back. Horrible writing. Salem was by Rios side for so much. It honestly would take a whole lot more for Salem to betray Rios, and they didn't do enough to justify that in this game.

Tbh i feel like alot of these games by EA during this time were rushed Army of Two 2 and 3, Mass Effect 3, Dead Space 3 and even Skate 3. I mean dont get me wrong they were great games I just feel like they couldve been better.

Yes, it is a good story btw, but it doesn't mix up with the Army of Two, Salem wouldn't just betray your best friend by some little thing that happened between in a mission too, but what most don't see it's that they are fighting a Cartel, and like Ellias and Rios, they used to fight a whole army of some bad dudes like insurgents and the military.
Man if this game was successful we wouldved had so many coop shooters I couldved chilled more with my cousins damn :(

People are confused and enraged about salem becoming what he became but you gotta realize Rios was all Salem had, fom the dialogue from the first games to this one you could tell Salem viewed Rios as a bigger figure in his life like a big brother. they've gone through hell & back together and he's a nut job. He enjoyed these contracts and killing with Rios. So when Rios did what he did in the 40th day he forgave him for that so that should tell you how much respect and love he had for him but when he got "left back" for a random female he felt like all of this was a act and they weren't brothers. He lost it and wanted to prove to Rios how it felt by doing what he did, he wanted to be the sole thing Rios cared for again pause. That's how big he viewed this brothership/friendship it was them over everyone else in Salem's mind
I really wish they wouldve kept rios and salem a little longer before the whole twist.

11 years later and this sh*t is still killing me ngl. Salem is a way better character, we knew he'd probably do anything for money but he still got heart. He might be debating with Rios, but he would say "f*ck it" and follow Rios moral decision. A reboot would be great for this golden series
Soo I searched it up on the TWO wiki( it's a wiki so I shouldn't be surprised) but it says Rios was with the Army rangers, but on his shoulder around 1:30:48 - 1:31:05 it say semper Fi, which is what the Marines say, Soo idk.
Rios and Salem were both with the Rangers in the first game but in Hollywood they constantly blend branches just because they dont pay attention to detail. I cringe every time Hollywood calls a Marine/Sailor/Airman a Soldier.

Kinda wish you guys use the cover more, it will make the movie more immersive rather than just running and shooting
We'll keep that in mind when we do the other Army of Two games. That very issue you bring up is probably the hardest choice to make when doing game movies. If we play smarter and more conservative, there will be people complaining that it's boring and that's a video game, or that we're noobs for that going all out. If we run and gun the other half of people feel that it's not immersive. At the end of the day we try to find a balance between both things. Thanks for the feedback and thanks for watching!
