  • Have continued working on the city elements. Progress is slow, I'm not much of a texture artist -- but have flipped to doing most of the texture work via blender's texture painting to mixed results. A little muddy when close up, but I feel it's sufficient for the time being. Baking takes so bloody long.
    I've also reduced the overall scale of structures by 20% as well as adjusting the positioning of many components to make the scale more realistic.
    For a bit of detail, I don't intend most buildings to have interiors, so they are largely set dressing. The open building will be a spot to get cargo hauling missions, and there will eventually be a port complex/shipyard which will have some interactions, but gameplay is still focusing around at sea operations.
    This is the main port complex, with most islands being empty, or containing small outposts and ruins.
