You rock. I am here in Australia . I have been a very heavy daily drinker for 30 years. An alcoholic another words. Only 17 days sober but I am going strong. Cheers for your insights. Stay strong
Thank you! Congrats on starting your new life as a non-drinker! Today was day 13 for me. I did a video on how a craving came out of no where and how I dealt with it. I feel stronger knowing that I can deal with the "bad" days and still not pick up a drink. Thanks for watching and for your comment! All the best, Nate
You are exactly right. So many people in my life wanted me to quit, but no amount of begging, pleading, scare tactics, etc ever worked. I remember my youngest son in tears one day because I put alcohol in the shopping basket again. You think that would have made me stop. Nope. Makes me sad now. You are 100% right, you have to be ready and want to, or it will never happen. Thank you for your thoughts and for watching!
Hey Nate, this is my 3rd or 4th time returning to your series, and probably my 8th or 10th attempt at quitting alcohol in the last 2 years. I always returned to alcohol, usually reminiscing the "good times" or dwelling on the bad times.. I love the take away I got last time. "Never quit trying to quit" .. One of my favorites. I'm more determined than ever to take control of my life and to regain my clarity and strength!.. I look forward to making it through a whole year with your series! Every video helps! Thank you man.. (PS e-aa-r--th is definitely flll--aaatt!!)
I love the insights here. I am of the belief that MINDSET is crucial in EVERYTHING that we aim to accomplish. That said, our PERSPECTIVE and our ENVIRONMENTS are crucial as well. Especially when we are beginning a thing. You said one of the most important things at the beginning fo this video...GET YOUR MIND RIGHT. That also applies to all parts of our lives....GET YOUR MIND RIGHT ABOUT IT. Be Elite Today People!
For me its been eating a balanced meals. I work construction from 6am-about 4-5pm so its vital for me to eat a good breakfast everyday and also lunch. That way when i get off i can rest , get a work out then eat a bit for dinner and get to bed. I feel like when you start to look forward to your meals and work outs more than your alcohol your on the right track. When i was a drinker i would skip breakfast most days, lunch was a huge? never really knew what i would eat or if i would eat. I think its part of the self care and self love that helps you realize how alcohol is toxic and bad for you in excess.
If we were told we needed to quit drinking or we wouldn't see our children again. We'd quit. Like that. Or any other analogy like that. If we look at it along the same lines. We'll realize we can pull the seemingly impossible off. Life's difficult. But we're even stronger. We're built for adversity. Keep moving forward friends.
Day 9 here. still going. sleeping tabs helping me sleep. i had a day of hell yesterday thanks to my ex wife ; the temptation was greater than ever but resisted and pushed thru. drinking alot of water now as well to help flush my insides of this poison to get it out of me.
Nice job! Everytime I made it through a tough day without alcohol, I proved to myself that I can do this and it makes the next tough day even easier. Keep up the good work! 💪
You know your recovery is progressing well when you start feeling that being sober is your default state and being drunk is out of character
I agree look at what you get to create in life instead of I can't drink.
Now you’re smelling the roses of your choices. Excellent!

right on troy. here on the goldie mate. day 9 ere.
Don't say only 17 days, that's amazing
you have to be ready and committed ; most people have others that want them to quit but the drinker doesn't ....until they are ready and some never do

I love this series. Imagine how many alcoholics you will inspire to become free? I'm on my journey as well.
I am on day 9. Have been sober for 6 months and almost 1 year in the past. Your video's are down to earth and helpful in difficult times. Thx.
I got tired, what’s weird is i substituted alcohol with tea lol
Another Aussie here 👍🏻 I’m currently on day 9 and I look forward to watching your videos each day. Thank you! 🙏😀
Awesome! Congrats on your 9 days!
Hi I’m currently 9 days sober, it’s been 11 months since your post , did you go back to drinking?
Great thoughtful analogies today . All about perspective

Very true!
hello dude. Yes it is hard if you are pessimistic and easier if you are optimistic
Day 10 for me and its hard
I'm on day 9. I have no urges to drink and feel better when exercising but I'm waking up and tired/sore. Hopefully that changes soon!
Keep up the good work! The waking up tired and sore will get better. Just give it time.
