- Accessing the fins inside of an airframe to add fillets for strength can be challenging. I explore a simple way to build the fin can / motor mount outside of the air frame. I also look at a solution for motor retention in a tight space.

Nice explanation
I've built a lot of fin cans similar to that. I was starting with an unslotted tube so I put fins on the motor mount just like I would surface mount on a smaller rocket, then did fillets and everything else. Then I would put against the end of the outer tube and mark where the fins were. Then I cut the slots in the outer airframe to match the actual fin locations. Then slide it in and add fillet to the rear centering ring from the outside and add fillets to the fins from the outside. Last I would add fillets to the front centering ring by carefully pouring some epoxy or even yellow wood glue in from the front of the rocket. Carefully position the rocket nearly vertical and pour it in. It doesn't hurt if it actually hits the inside of the tube in front of the centering ring because it will run down until it gets to the centering ring.

This is a fascinating design! Your ideas are a goal for me to stretch towards.
Thanks, Have fun along the way!
In one of your videos you put a link to a website that will let you put in your dimensions and it will give you a printable fin guide. Will you please post that link again. Thanks
