"Minity" Light 1.0 - reduce the weight

- Hi, this is Sven
I would like to use the minity in a run and gun fashion. While assembling the minity, I noticed the weight of the Camera Balancing Platform (760 g). Surely the weight helps to keep the steadycam steady. But it is so heavy that I can’t use it for more than a few moments.
So reducing the weight is a necessity for me.
If you use vest and arm to hold the steadycam, this video might not help you.
I made an adapter to connect the gimbal to the steadycam. It is made from 20 mm aluminium rod.
The adapter is longer than necessary because I would like to use it also to lengthen the whole thing.

Brilliant! That’s one less thing in the way for balancing!
Brilliant!
Very good idea!!
Awesome mate! How good is that making it lighter didn't think about just removing the whole base fantastic idea, love it!
Thank you very much for the encouraging words. That means a lot to me.
I’d watch ever video you make about the minity
Sorry for the delays, there is so much else to do. Thanks you very much for your support.
Looking forward to the development!

Hi, Sven. This is badass.
This is the greatest praise I can think of. Thanks for your support, much appreciated.
Yes I too find the minity too heavy to be practical. Looking forward to seeing just how light you can make it
that's why you get a vest, with the arri trinity you see a vest in use
Sorry for the delays, there is so much else to do. I tried to make it even lighter but that compromised the stability. Don’t let your hopes down, I am working on it.
Super super
Издец, прям открытие сделал...да я в первый же день в 2018 году оба таких стабилизатора совместил
This is great, thank you. But for someone who do not need such good video quality, it seem`s that Insta360 ONE X2 is much more versatile and easy to use.
I agree. My project may be totally outdated already. My friends know me for driving large efforts with little results.
I have made a second connection point on my arm to help with the support of the weebill S if you would like to see my effort just message me and I'll send you some photos of it. great vlog and very helpful with my project.
That is great. A second connection is a good idea. I am very interested in the progress you have made. Please send me photos of your project: info@reelemotions.de Thank you very much.
Can you make more of the adapters for sale I would very much like to purchase one?
I am very sorry for the belated answer. Thank you for your confidance in my craftsmanship. I do not have time to make more adapters, but if you are still interested I will send you the prototype. I do not have your adress. Please send an e-mail to info@reelemotions.de , Thank You.
Please make a video to show how you made the adapter that replaces the platform.
I am cutting it right now and plan to upload it today. Thanks for your confidance in my craftsmanship. :)
how many kilograms can one screw withstand?
That is a good question. The unmodified gimbal can be hold by one handle alone, which is attached by one screw, so only difference I see is the momentum. I try to avoid sudden movements.
This is Genius! I know you have committed the prototype already but if i email would it be possible to give some more info about the adapter you created so i can try myself?
Thank you for your interest. I will make a short video to show how I made the adapter. I kindly ask for your patience.
@@reelemotions Whenever your'e ready is good with me. Thank you again for sharing such helpful information
Have you tried to attach it to a DF thanos pro?
Thanks for the tip. The DF thanos pro would really help. Since I am not very strong, I can use the minity only for a few minutes. I have not tried the DF thanos pro jet because I want to keep a low profile while filming and I like to be able to transport my gear by bicycle.
