Thank you for the helpful video. I’m a bit embarrassed that I needed a tutorial video on how to use and refill the pencil but I did. I see others needed the same help! This was just what I needed.
Perfect tutorial. I purchased a Graphgear 1000 for my niece and didn't know if the lead replacement method was the same as my own Graphgear 500. I didn't want to break anything, so thanks for showing the cap removal.
I came here trying to figure out how to extend the eraser; here's how I finally did it. First remove the eraser as shown in the video at 0:39. With the eraser removed there will be a grippy part of the metal bracket - the part that is exposed when the eraser is installed. Grab this grippy part with one hand and grab the extra eraser material with the other hand. Pull the eraser down and out of the metal bracket. The eraser will only move in one direction through the bracket. Reinsert the eraser into the bracket starting from the grippy part, stopping when there's enough eraser material exposed. Reinstall the bracket into the pencil.
When I do this and begin erasing by pushing down, the eraser pushes back down to its original position because the metal ring gets loose when you move it. Does this happen with anyone else as well? Terrible eraser design :/

Having the same issue here. I can't even seem to feed the lead back through the tip (which worked once). Also, worthy to note that you should never have the eraser out and hit the retract button when you have leads inside the barrel... lead. Lead everywhere.
I came here with the same issue, and while the video didn't answer my question I just worked it out. Sharing in case it helps anyone! For me, a small bit of lead has gotten stuck in the very tip of the pen, and it was stuck quite firmly. I took the tip off and saw that it was sitting inside. I forced the tip out with a needle (be careful if you do this!), put everything back together, put new lead in through the top and it's working once again!
Thank you for this tutorial, i was wondering how to make the tip disappear because i might ruin it since it's very thin. I didn't know how useful the side of the pen
its a lead indicator, for personal reminder of what type of lead you put in it, to change it turn the grip from the main barrel, some force is required.
Hard to believe I simply couldn't figure out or load my Pencil properly ! SO frustrated & thought I had either broken the Pencil or it came broken. I did this 2 x & wound up with 3 Pentel GraphicGears. ! Ridiculous ! Determined to slow down & finally learn how to do it right
OMG thank you so much i got this pencil for my Bday and ive been staring at it for 9 and a half days now waiting for it do something .......now i know......subbed....how about a tutorial on breathing next?
I've had this pencil for almost a year now and I didn't know it has an eraser.
Lol. Same.
wow lol
I bet you were strongly struggling to insert leads for a year ..... I did
Trevor Same here
@@NoajmIsMyName I was using this pencil during an sat test and I had to reload. I have shaky hands so it was a pain in the ass.

Under rated comment, thanks so much !
Great tutorial: short and to the point. Addresses issues not apparent from its appearance.
Today I found that you can twist the end so that the little window displays the hardness of the pencil lead you’ve put in
love the vid. straight forward and easy to follow, perfect! thank you for posting
how do you make it so you can use the rest of the eraser?
All you do is pull it out with the metal ring its being held as when adding led and push the eraser up from the bottom in till the eraser pops up .
push the eraser up from the metal ring on it
push the eraser up from the metal ring on it

Bro just buy an eraser. It's like 10 cent.
I have a 0.3 and when I tried to refill it it wouldn't work... The lead sizes are all OK - 0.3mm - but when I put one in it didn't go through..
I had the same issue exactly -- anyone have any solutions?

Thank you. You made it easy!
This was very helpful as I didn't know how to replace the lead. Question: can you load more than 1 lead into the barrel?
Yes, as many as you want
Same - lol. I was just trying to figure out how to change the led, which keeps disappearing back into the pencil. ???
I HAD NO IDEA THIS THING HAS AN ERASER MY MIND IS BLOWN
glad i can finally change my lead too :)
What’s the little window for?

thank you... WOW, didn't know it has an Eraser too!
Can i use any brand lead as long as it is of pencil size?
Yep!
this was really helpful for my friend oscar
what kind of lead brand did you used?
Thanksss bro 💯🔥💪👍🙌👏🏅🥇🏆🌟🙏👏💰💰💰😁🙏👏
Donde se compran la caja de minas
Thank You so very much!
Hello, do other refills work? Like, if they have the same size, will they work even if it's not the same brand?
I DIDNT EVEN KNOW IT HAD AN ERASER
Right?? I’ve had mine since 2017 and this is news to me
glad im not the only one who couldnt figure out the eraser lol
How to refill the eraser?
Just change the eraser with a new one?
I think you may need to buy another one separately

I'm curious, what's that lead grade thing inside the pen where you can turn it, for? Like what's the point of it?
Those are the different levels of hardening of the Graphite.
The harder the graphite is, the lighter the pencil traces on the paper will be
thanks
it almost 2 am and I was pissing about with it and I almost broke it so yeah
Is it heavy
I didn't know that my pencil had eraser 😁 thanks
A big THANK YOU 🎉
OMG thank you so much i got this pencil for my Bday and ive been staring at it for 9 and a half days now waiting for it do something .......now i know......subbed....how about a tutorial on breathing next?
the little metal part that the lead comes through won’t stay out
What about the lead indicator
what if that doesn’t work
My pencil is 0.5 I put 0.3 lead in will it work?
No. You may damage the pencil by doing so
I refilled mine and the metal top will now not stay on. It took pliers to pull it off. No eraser.
helpful 👍
Hello, where can I found the metal part that cover the eraser, I lost it, please help!!!
Thanks 👍
Lol just got this pencil and had no idea how to add the lead/ thanks
For the lead , what is the right size?
It has the size on the very end of the eraser cap. lead is odd numbers.
Also the color of the pencil indicates lead size. I am using a yellow and it's size 9 lead.
Thanks...str8 to the point...pun intended
What size refill lead insert does it use?
0.7
How to remove gum when it no longer exists 🤣
This helped
