  • Middle Sister Mountain and Mount Chocorua via the Carter Ledge Trail is possibly my favorite day hike in New Hampshire. This hike was absolutely beautiful and unique and if you haven’t don’t it yet it’s well worth the watch!
This hike counts towards two New Hampshire challenges, The Terrifying 25 (T25) and 52 With a View (52WAV)
The Carter Ledge Trail is the trail on the Terrifying 25 list and Middle Sister and Mount Chocorua are two mountains on the 52WAV list!
This hike was 10 miles and roughly 3500 feet of elevation gain. It was one of the most beautiful hikes in the whites in my opinion!

Nothing terrifying about this hike unless you do it in the dead of Winter without snowshoes. ;) Just a beautiful hike.

U have no idea lol! It comes with persistence. Hiking nearly every weekend all year round and pushing the limits constantly. Nutrition before and after our hike is super important but the most important is your pre-hike nutrition

The other thing that I forgot to mention is that you have to love hiking that much where are you desire at every second of every day to the point where you consider the mountains the love of your life. There is no better drive to kill yourself out there than to be absolutely loving it at the same time

Just did Carter Ledge trail in the rain on Tuesday, June 15th, 2021. It was super dangerous with the exposed rock being supremely slippery. Came down Piper, took Nickerson over to Carter Ledge again to get back to White Ledge campgrounds. The views were so dramatic with fog, clouds and thunderstorms rolling across all.
