I still remember that people where I live were tweeting they would throw project X 2.0 party’s in big city’s and police actually pulling up and warning people I think even over the local news because they were afraid it would actually happen. It was a whole thing for a hot minute 🤣
To make this movie they actually invited a ton of extras to party and capture video of it. The director had to go thru thousands of hours of camera videos and decide which pieces to use in the movie.
When this movie came out, house parties were at an all time high and I was soo lucky to have been to the ones I did. Literally no one wants to do one in todays age, but back then it felt like no one cared about their house getting trashed 😂 it's a shame, we need a new Project X movie to revive them
I love this movie.. It has one of the best soundtracks for a film that I've ever heard.. The music was definitely on point in this film.. AND THE TWO "SECURITY GUARDS" WERE HILARIOUS BTW! 😂😂 Loved those guys..
I graduated HS in 2010, and this is the party everyone wishes for. Many attempts were made to recreate this legendary party most were shut down pre party. Police in all major cites were on social media duty, checking for a project X 2.0
Every single time I watch this movie I somehow feel like I’m back in 2012 again a piece of me is still able to feel what it was like back then. All time favorite movie
I live in a small town. Where people have houses on farm land and barn parties and was in high school when this came out. Project x parties went crazy 😂
Such a fun time when this movie came out! Parties literally every weekend saying "Project X Party". It never got this lit but Man fun times, still to this day this movie makes me wanna take Shots
Project x is one of my favorite movies, my favorite scene was after the cops left and they played that one song and they all started dancing and going crazy lmao !!!

If I remember right a kid did get shot dead after he flashed his dad's gun in front of the cops, i forgot in what state and I'm sure he wasn't the only casualty out of that trend

I absolutely love this movie. It’s so underrated and is the ultimate party movie. I was 12 when this movie came out. I’m 24 now & I have yet to go to a house party like this. It’s on my bucket list lol
Love the movie and I actually watched it SO many times, I have stopped counting. I think it's super well done! Very consistent style, the way it's filmed and cut, the soundtrack, all the little ideas to keep it entertaining and interesting from start to finish.. That's why I think more reaction channels should do this movie, bc it's actually great to react to. I was at this party. They reason they had a disclaimer os because it got way bigger then they wanted and some wild stuff was happening. It was the best thing ever !
Holy shit. Kids in my school were throwing a Project X 2.0 every weekend. One of them got pretty close to this. Burned a house down and everything. Crazy memories.
This movie is actually loosely based on a true story of a 16 year old kid in Australia where the invite was posted on MySpace and around 500 people showed up
Also another fun fact a bunch of little tidbits throughout this movie are actually stuff that happened in real life they just added it all into one movie.. infamous party held by 16-year-old Australian Corey Worthington in 2008 whose party was also a clandestine, out-of-control event with hundreds of gatecrashers and widespread chaos-although this was never confirmed or denied by any of the writers

My friends and I threw multiple parties like this when we were 17-19 (with the exception of the cops and guy burning down the neighborhood). The trick is to do it in a rural area and not so close to the city like these guys did lol.

I loved this movie i had a similar experience. I was a geek and my 18th birthday was lame as fuck, nobody showed up. Nobody gave a shit about me back then. So two weeks before my birthday i pulled up a party with two friends on mine at my shitty father's appartment while he was gone and i must have 100 people at this small appartment and it was crazy. I met a lot of people that night and some of them became my best friends (most of that friends and i don't even talk anymore, this was like 10 years ago). Anyway, it was so cool that 2 weeks after that i pulled up another party at the same place (cause it was my birthday)and even more people showed up, some of them were outside cause of the ammount of people we were. It was insane. Changed my life. I started going parties all over the town. Lots of weed.
Y'all should look up 'Project X Haren'. Real life event loosely inspired by this movie; a Dutch girl accidentally made the event for her birthday public, and somehow it became a big thing, and people from all over turned up. Not at the girl's house, as such, but in the town. Absolute chaos.
