He’s like the best therapist ever. He cured 99% of his trauma in five minutes.
3 minutes!
Did he though?
More like 15% at best
The Mary Poppins of the SS -esque.
He even cured my herpes!
I love how subtle Killinger is. He tells Rusty Venture to kill his father, but its actually Killinger who loads himself into the slingshot and walks backwards pulling it taunt, before firing himself. Simply put, Killinger killed the golden goliath Venture, but he then acts like Rusty did it himself. He tricks Rusty into thinking he has overcome his personal demons and become a man, when really Killinger has taken the place of his father.
Naturally the first thing we see when he comes out of the dream sequence is Killinger towering over him in exactly the same way and at exactly the same angle that the golden statue of his father did in the dream. Great visuals.
In his defense, Rusty was the one who aimed it for the kill.
Did nobody else notice the "missing person," photo of Henchman 24 on the orange juice carton?
I actually think killinger is sincere this is what he does he helps people becoming greater villains he does have a masterplan but he has no direct ill intent on humanity he only want it to be the evil destructive force it was meant to be
This wasnt the act that ser rusty free, this just showed him that it was possible
And choking him with his birthright--or, rather Killinger's wallet.*
I love Killinger's voice
Jax why are you everywhere I go now?
Encountering a person you follow in a random comment section of youtube feels like a cryptid encounter
Funny how back then Jonahs was basically painted as this great man but really Killinger was opening the flood gates to showing what a terrible person he was, especially to Rusty. There were probably many instances where Jonahs actually tied Rusty up and came in to "rescue" him to show how great he was. Hell he probably told the Action Man to wake Rusty up at gunpoint.
Click. Not today Rusty. Not today.
I don't think the Action Man needed much goading or any at all from Jonas to do that, guy was a f*ckin psycho, insane to think he became a rather decent godfather to Hank, he really mellowed out a lot.
@@g.sergiusfidenas6650pretty sure jonahs venture had him hyped up on drugs/superhuman seyrum 24/7
@@brodyratliff7441 Yeah, he was jacked sideways on "jump juice" for a long time.

+Ivan Chesnokov God I love Killenger, that line makes me lose it everytime ^_^
It's wierd to think from this moment forward, we start seeing how much of a truly miserable person Jonas Venture was that we see how many lives he ruined and countless others he killed
He was a great scientist and adventurer, but a total sociopath.
Honestly, this reminds me a lot of Rose Quartz, a character from Steven Universe that has a similar build-up as a flawless idol of a person, but all it took was one episode revealing that one character that undeniably suffered at their hands, and the rest of the series pulled no punches revealing how objectively awful the once perfect hero really was behind closed doors. It wouldn't surprise me in the slightest if the Steven Universe crew took some hints from Jonas Venture when writing Rose Quartz's arc. Though Jonas clearly does take it way farther as far as being awful behind the curtain.
@Irish Patriot hell no
@@da-vidcargill4975 It really is though...
@No Fun
Naw it’s great!
Dr. Henry Killinger a perfect example of lawful evil.
Because we will have order. Even if it kills you.
I’d argue he is true neutral
Personally I’d say lawful good. In the context of venture bro’s. Where heroes and villains treat their roles as 9 to 5 jobs and can share drinks/ invite their worst enemy to their wedding as their best man. The concept of morality goes out the window. I mean we find out the literal greatest man in the world is a narcissistic self-serving megalomaniac, whereas dr. Killinger over here IS trying to make rusty a villain granted. But he’s doing it because A. He cares. And B. He believes Rusty could serve the world better in the capacity of a villain than a hero. Keeping in mind he does this in accordance with established law, and a strict moral code.
@@themandalore7780 I honestly think Dr. Venture is easily nuetral evil considering that everything he does comes from a place of selfishness
@@donovansingleton9096 Yeah. Rusty is always touching that trope of the not-so-good person that doesn't want to be the bad guy.
I just never noticed the milk carton had a "have you seen me?" ad with the picture of an unmasked number 24 on it until now. Neat.
TunMon Gotta love those little details.
Foreshadowing
That is neat but... wouldn't that make 24 really old? Like at least 50 when the show starts.
@@devinbaird2470 Yeah that can't be 24. The monarch and rusty, are brothers an about the same age. 24 doesn't look like an old man to me. He would be in his 70's
Unless 24 is a time traveler. Witch could be possible considering the new season.
@@Mantis_Toboggan_TrashMan 24 is scarebear confirmed
People say that Killinger is the best therapist, but they seem to be missing one key thing. Killinger says that the "son is becoming the father" but later when Rusty wears his new outfit he calls himself "the proud papa".
And notice how it isn't Rusty who slays the "Goliath" (Jonas), Killinger loads and launches himself to slay the golden statue of Jonas and gives Rusty the credit for the kill. And then redirects these feelings towards JJ (who ends up becoming Rusty's new archenemy if he had sign the contract).
Killinger is not helping Rusty. Not completely, he's taking the spot of savior and role model that Jonas was occupying in Rusty's mind.
The final test was signing the contract. Like Jonas, Killinger is imposing a life path in front of Rusty.
Jonas gave Rusty the means to become a supercientist and now Rusty feels like he owes something for it. Killinger has done the same, and if Rusty signed he'd end up "owing" to Killinger. But Rusty refuses.
By detaching himself from both Jonas and Killinger, Rusty has taken a decision by himself. On his own according.
Big brain, Killinger is an interesting manipulative character, I wonder if rusty refusing to sign was part of his plan to help him, I assume it’s win win reguardless, the only thing that would have changed being when rusty would have learnt his lesson
My grandpa spoke German when I was a child and literally is a carbon copy of this cartoon physically... its killing me.

This is honestly a great video to show to people what it might take to conquer their past and move on. Its gonna be weird, painful and a challenge

I constantly remember "Fear, self-loathing, stinkin' thinkin', und dilly-dallying!"
Why would Adult Swim cancel a show this brilliant?!
They canceled it?
Because it didn't have hype. I think R&M is just okay but dear God has its fanbase promoted it as a phenomenon.
Change in management. It was allowed to continue because the executives loved it, but now it's someone else's turn.
Rick...
We really do need a final season.. how much would it cost.... I'll donate to that GFM...
Rusty: Why am I naked?
Killinger: You naked because you been born again
LMAO! xD
Bill Cosby over there furiously taking notes
“Daddy was just having a little sleep over....” referring to the monarchs mom and blue morphos wife!?
FenrirtheWolf Jonas was the kind of guy to host multiple orgies a year. Could’ve been any one of those or any number of women in between
It was an actress rusty had a crush on
Rusty and the Monarch are roughly the same age (they were friends at a young age) so it likely wasn’t.
I know this would make me think, "God, he's horrible", but in truth, all it really means is that he's just every bit as flawed and human as anyone else. Nobody associated with him ever seemed to catch on to that.
Or one of many women he slept with
“Only what you take with you.”
Killinger is basically evil Yoda fused with a evil Mary Poppins
"Evil Yoda" is redundant. Yoda supported kidnapping and slavery.
Killinger
“I have not destroyed the council, I have saved it”
So Killenger is basically Anikan Skywalker then
No he's henry kissinger 😎

If only Dr Venture had taken some of that advice to heart.
JJ shows up as a Leprechaun, I think to myself, "I get it, he's just eating the fruits of success that were rightfully meant for Rusty. He's a sneaky little thief who steals all of Rusty's good sh*t."
Edit:
I'm looking back at this comment and I realize maybe I got the order of things wrong and I might have missed one or two strong ideas from the video.
I think you're right.
So you're telling me a leprechaun is stealing his Lucky Charms?
They were gum drops, but then again, they glued Rusty's mouth shut and began to suffocate him. I can't help but think there's more foreshadowing here.
@@MechWarrior894 Suffocating on un-earned success. Inheritance can do that.
@@phaethos That's it! That's it! Holy shit!
This really says a lot about rusty as a person. He never took the shot killenger did and he will never take the shot
I saw the Uncensored version and yeah, i can see why Venture was scared
After learning he is a high level telepath, this dream sequence makes senses
Am I the only one who noticed the "have you seen me" thing of 24 on the orange box at 0:53?
Holy shit, that's a deep cut.
Rusty didn't have a deep memory of the carton of milk like he did the cereal he stared at while eating his breakfast cereal. It makes sense that a much more recent carton design would stand out to rusty.
"aahhh...who's this tiny liddlee man? Why is he ztealing your birthright"
I lost it at that.
And Rusty's choking on the fruits of his own labor, it's got to be a warning to Rusty.
I honestly would like them to do a "what if" where Rusty actually does go in the direction Uncle Henry wanted him to.
Could you imagine how the Monarch would react? I could see a teamup with JJ even coming out of that
I kinda want to see what kind of villain Rusty would have become, seeing as anyone tutored by Killinger becomes very competent.
I love how the censor bar itself dangles XD
If Killinger turns out to be 21 s father that will probably blow everyone's mind look at the chin and think of 21
Killinger's like, a demon or something. 21's just a dude. I doubt it.
Wow
@@Bacxaber A dude that has survived how many encounters against people like Brock and Phantom Limb. You don't live this long just being some dude.
1:38 Ok, I think this is still not over based on this.... Rusty still hasn't freed himself from his temple of failure, he is still trying to live in his father's shadow. Using his father's and his brother's inventions, trying to continue them, when he needs to fully dismantle everything... And Start from scratch, instead of Ventech, it should become.... Rustech!!!
+electrobob992 He is trying. The thermal suppository, the teleporters, deliberating about becoming a unicorn in captivity, the new treaty of tolerance, hell even when he jumped out of the window to show off JJ's jetpack. @@RAFMnBgaming You just proved Bob's point by mentioning JJ's jetpack.
@@Bacxaberone step at a time
This is one of those scenes that plays when someone unexpectedly walks up and begins to watch with you the asks, “WHAY THE FUCK ARE YOU WATCHING?!”
I'm almost certain with Killinger being a brother of the Investors, he knew the sort of maniacal evil Jonas Venture really was behind that façade. Not that he was being helpful; he was supplanting Jonas' place in Doc's mind with himself, but Doc detaching himself from his father wound up doing more good than what was immediately seen.
"Remembering's dangerous. I find the past such a worrying, anxious place"
Dr. killinger is just the best character in the whole series
He's got his own problems but he's a really good father compared to his dad
Considering what an absolute assbarrel Jonas Sr. was, that's not a high barrier to cross.
That not a high bar
His kids have died on several occasions,
@tannerbruning868 The fleeing around the world was implied to happen every or almost every time they died. Plus, his "mind" is full of Hank and Dean zombies. It hit him every time. He just composes himself afterwards.
I can’t help ,but think Alpha Mummy’s a particular Freudian thing. Especially since we don’t even get an explanation on what happened to Rusty’s mom
Entirely possible he just cloned him or just picked out one of his potentially many bastard sons for this.
Rustys and the monarch have the same mom jonas took rusty while malcolm was taken by the blue morpho and wife
Well,Dr.Venture _WAS a (Participant of) swinger at the time,so...?_
Yeah, _To be fair-on the cloning thing you mentioned, you're not wrong there though,but..Yet again,he probably had to get hitched to/Elope in secret to a young lass-One of his swinging buddies/lady-friends of his (Presumably his "favourite" lady-friend of his, since I guess that..women flocked to him, being the handsome fucking magnificent bastard that he is/was in his youth/life back in the day, don'tcha know..?) that ended-up becoming the future Mrs.Venture/Rusty and J.J.'s biological mother to avoid getting into scandal, like asking to what would happen if Blue Morpho/Blue Morpho's Missus spoke out on what he did to her/them later on,apparently so then,honestly..._

I have a feeling this is forshadowing the future. Rusty killing his father, that would be one hell of a twist, its too bad daddy dearest is dead, or is he?
Well we know OSI took his head for reasons. Most likely to find out what really happened on Movie Night... Which I believe ol Jonas' mind will be smart even after death, so Smart in fact that he digitally improves himself, using the OSI networks to enter the internet, then into one of Ventech computers, then into... Oh I don't know Helper, or another Robot, using said robot to create himself a new body in the background.
wanna bet that statue at Venture Industries is a robot.

Does stuffing their mouth really snap people out of a seizure?
+ystconnection No, it prevents people from swallowing their own tongue.
Isn't that what the frenulum is for?
+ystconnection You can't actually swallow your tongue, but the misconception is quite common.
I know, that is why I mentioned the frenulum. My question pertains to how Venture was snapped out of a seizure by having his mouth stuffed and if that type of action is an actual way of treating someone experiencing a seizure.
+ystconnection It's more to keep the, from biting their tongue off, but it's not very smart. The patient could choke on the object in their mouth.
To answer your question, there is no "snapping them out of it" for a seizure. The only thing you can do is keep them from hurting themselves and let the seizure run its course.
Its funny how the black bar shrinks into killenger.
"Did you slip me a rufo?"
I don’t know why but I sometimes say “haha… apple mummy…”

0:53 you can see 24 on the carton wtf never noticed that!
Okay. The censorship guys had waaay too much fun with this!
Killinger also attempted to reunite Doc and Myra. Not quite sure if that was in anybody's best interest.
I saw this the first time on DVD, uncensored.
+Neo Machine there was no morph effect on the DVD; the whole shot from when Rusty turns to when he see's Killenger is in the form of Killenger Kobra. Also Jonas' junk swayed a hell of a lot more than they showed the censor bar moving...
+Rodin Claus In one of their interviews at a con, they said the Korean animators seemed to get really into making junk jiggle around and they were totally fine with it.
royhyena I know (I love re-watching the seasons just for Doc and Jackson's commentary). I just think it's hilarious that there's essentially two versions of that scene; one where I would theorize the penis isn't actually 'rendered' but is still censored to enforce the meaning of the scene, and the uncensored one where that thing's going to town all over the place.
+The Best Green Lantern Now you know how terrified Rusty must've felt.
Its ok, Rusty. I like Apple Mommy too.
Also, why does the guy on the orange juice carton remind me of 24?
There are some times I can't even tell if killinger is a bad guy or not
Father the sleeper has awoken lol.
Is that statue of his father supposed to be a reference to that statue of Kim Il Sung in North Korea?
"bUt I hAvE SoMetHinG tHaT WiLL"
born again with spectacles
But Rusty didn't slay the Goliath that was his father... Killinger did that while Rusty froze up and allowed it to happen.
Furious Finch yeah but rusty aimed him
I think there's hidden symbolism there. Maybe rusty's father's legacy is actually just an inflated perception rusty has and isn't representative of reality. And so the truth is that rusty was the one giving life to this hyper-successful model of his dad, and so to kill it he didn't have to fight it, but simply let nature and reality seep back in and let it die.
When Rusty wakes up, Killenger is towering over him in exactly the same manner as the golden colossus was. Killenger killed the giant and took its place, while tricking Rusty into thinking he did it and is now in control of his own destiny, when really, he has traded one master for another. Killinger is diabolical in his subtlety.
@@GrimgoreIronhide let's also not forget Rusty choked on the fruits of his labor while his brother stole them, there's a lot going on here.
