    Excellent demo, thanks! I've been looking at this, the Simplifier and on the really cheap side, the Joyo American Sound for my small busking rig.

    I push mine with a good overdrive. Sounds great! Yes, love my tube amps but this is a perfect alternative.

    Super Block US is a great amp. I run it through a 10” Patriot Canabis Rex, Blows a Blues Junior away, great for Jazz, Blues, makes other solid state amps sound like tin cans.

    Just FYI: Quilter is a California company (also confusingly labeled, CA) based in Costa Mesa.
    I didn't realize the "61 Blonde" (Fender Bassman?) was identified with the surfing sound. I'l have to try that out. Thx

    Would you recommend this to someone who wanted to go ampless? Or would you recommend something else? I'm primarily after Fender style clean sounds but also like some overdrive at times.

      I mean, it’s your call. I like this a lot. It’s plenty loud, it takes pedals great, it has nice gain, the xlr out is great for a pa or recording. It doesn’t have a tube, I don’t think it sounds good with over drive pedals, but I have a low gain distortion that does the trick. I like it a lot

      Use their combo amp the Aviator Cub. If you need 200w and all their amp voices plus some get the Mach 3.

    I have an SBUS too. The EQ is an active system, not passive like a normal amp. With the knob pointed straight up it's the same as having the control dimed on a normal amp. Anything clockwise past the straight up point is actually adding additional "boost", for lack of a better term at the moment, to the frequency set.
    Good demo!

      Wow, thank you for the info. This is the most informative comment I’ve ever seen! I am not being sarcastic. Thanks.

      @@LearningCurveGuitar I'll split this into two replies, since in one I'll try to post a link to a TGP thread that also touches on the EQ section, if YT allows it.
      This is what the owners manual means when it says:
      "EQ SECTION: LOW, MID, and HIGH controls provide a wide range cut/boost over three frequency bands to add further control over the basic tone contours selected by the VOICE switch."
      On The Gear Page, there's a thread that was started back in September, 2021, "NAD: Quilter Superblock UK". on page 3, post #41, begi8ns a short discussion of how the EQ functions on the Superblock. I'll post the link in a separate reply in case YT dumps it.

      Those are some pretty old tubes

      tube amps will not go away despite all the advances in technology. The price of tubes is in part due to the withdrawal of Russian made tubes-for obvious reasons, and that there are fewer factories making them

    what audio interface are you running this into on your computer? what DAW are you using

    the claim by some that these put out the equivalent of 25 tube watts is not correct

    The sound here does not make justice to the amp itself. There is some static plastic noise in this video.

    61=Fender blonde deluxe reverb
    57=Fender tweed deluxe
    65=Fender blackface deluxe reverb
    These are what they are trying to emulate. And sorry they fall short by miles.
