Line 6 Pod Express: Chime
Hey, I'm still working on the Line 6 Pod Express. This week, I'm digging into the Chime Model. The Chime is based on a Vox AC 30 and a Matchless DC 30 and it kind of rocks. It's very versatile and it just really hits me where I live when you turn up the gain knob. Anyway, let me know what you think in the comments. Please be respectful. I'll do my best to answer any questions you have. Thanks.

Tone Hatch 2/5 Union Tele Pickups
Переглядів 3069 місяців тому
Hello, This week I'm looking at a set of hand wound tele pickups that are made in Nebraska. I found them on Ebay, I've had them for about a year. 2/5 Unions use a combination of Alnico 5 and Alnico 2s. This is not a paid sponsorship If you would like to pick up a set, follow this link www.ebay.com/itm/124461726838?itmmeta=01HSRAAB06MR7Z4PCN0T91BTSP&hash=item1cfa7f3c76:g:j54AAOSwLMthcj-D
Pignose 7-100, Keep it simple
Переглядів 1,3 тис.10 місяців тому
I'm going minimalist this week, maybe I'll start busking. I'm playing my Pignose 7-100 with an acoustic (that has a pickup), a looper, a delay, an Electric, an Octave and a Fuzz. I switch back and for between recording with a DAW and Recording with a mic. What do you think?
EHX Key 9 into a Modulation Pedal?
Переглядів 41010 місяців тому
I recently saw a video where the folks at JHS suggested putting a modulation pedal behind one of the EHX 9 Series Pedals. I have the Key 9. So I did it. It would be impossible to capture every sound you can make with this combo. These are a few that I found interesting, but the possibilities are endless. I hope you get something out of this. Enjoy.

Tube screamer before the fuzz.
The site says it draws 3mA. It technically shouldn't make a difference if you are feeding it with a 200, 300, or 500 mA supply. If you are really sure you heard a difference, an A/B video would be a good one to throw up.
I couldn't figure out how to turn it on. Yes used internal negative. Sending back as doa.
I'm looking to just have this to replace my amp at rehearsal can you cycle the presets back and forth with the foot switches so this would be a sole pedal board/amp modeler? I don't know if what I'm asking makes sense but every video I watch everyone is using their hands to control it which isn't ideal while I'm trying to transition parts. I've had a few smaller boards and that was always the flaw transitions and a true bypass.
@@Dude888888880 yes, I used a sonic cake momentary a/b foot switch. One button goes up, one goes down. Stack the tones you use in slots next to each other and you should be good to go.
Nice vid and thank you for the rundown. I got the KMise looper which is the exact same as this but a better price.
Awesome Pedal, Get One, You Wont Be Dissatisfied. It Is GREAT.
Tune down to B standard and crank the filter on that RAT the other direction
Nice demo. Thanks.
Thanks for the information. Great job! I have a set of ferrite low impedance on order for my LyxPro tele. 20% off at this time.
Hi, thank you for this very informative video. Do you know how many overdubs we can perform on the internal looper, and perhpas the total recording time by any chance?
Thanks, this was helpful. I was wondering if this would work alright with a wah in front of it. Judging by the how it sounds with drive pedals in front, I'm pretty sure the answer is going to be no. I can't believe they added an expression pedal input but no wah effect.
@@StillLivinginthewoods let me know how it works out
I just got one and it's going back. Absolutely disappointing and so harsh.
Geez I think overall it sounds really bad and cheap?
I think either octave Farts after three o'clock.. Not from eating Mexican food..
Fuzz and Octaves sound cool on Notes. Awful for chords. My take on it.
Definitely doesn’t sound like it cleans up like a fuzz face.
Wow ...I am in North Dakota too ...weird.................................... now there is two of us ......... Its getting crowded I was getting ready to string tree my Tele and your video popped up .................good stuff I liked and subscribed
Mmm any reason your guit was so out of tune/intonation? That Rat pedal and the JHS pedal's dist sounds were tragic, really bad.
Thanks for getting straight to the point, and not talking about it forever. Nice video
Some great tones
Hey thanks for this amazing video 🤘🏻 i have a question, when im saving a preset if im changing the value/ knob of a pedal, then again at the time of saving different preset if im changing value(like distortion / tone/ volume)of pedals then when im switching different presets is it changing those values( like multi fx processor do) or is it just turning on and off different combination of pedals???
@@SwarnadeepKaran no, you have to go midi for that. Sorry
Awesome 👏
Kool Demo Thx...! Considering these pickup for my main Tele. Which btw, looks very similar to mine, including the angled Rock Rabbit control plate :>)
Add another 2 sets he also wired them so I can install a 5 way telecaster switch.
I just got the HSS Texas Heat set. They sound great.
Very helpful. Thanks !
Sounds like shit thru that pedal..just saying
Super helpful !! Thanks man 🙏
@@mrhulejczuk1426 my pleasure
You not only won't need to search around the stage for an outlet or power strip, the fact that you're not linked to house ground/power means it's clean power. You don't need an expensive power conditioner because you're not linked to ground, and that means zero ground hum. In fact, the reason I bought my rechargeable power unit (not a Joyo but a Tomsline on which I can power five pedals for five hours) is because I read that it meant no issues with ground hum. I use Teles with single-coil pickups and always had a lot of ground hum, which annoyed the other guitarist in the band who played a Les Paul. Now his level of ground noise is annoying me :) I also use a wireless rig, which eliminates further noise coming from the amp, to the point I'm (usually) absolutely silent when not playing. A few high-gain pedals, esp fuzz pedals, in my lineup, generate their own noise ceilings when cranked, but at least it's not compounded by ground hum and dirty power. The isolated inputs on the Joyo are unnecessary since your pedals are automatically isolated when not linked to house power.
can i adjust the external pedal to the start/stop function of the looper? thanks (:
@@justroop sorry, I do not believe you can
Thank you for the run down. This fuzz junkie will have to grab one !
I'm sorry your sound is really too loud it hurt my earths. I have to stop.

Thank you Spenser! Very helpful video. Is it possible to turn the cab sim off altogether? I’m thinking into an amp, that might be worth trying.

@@mickvanschaik4804 I don’t see why not, but I don’t own that pedal.
Thanks for alltheuseful info Spencer mine arrives this week..happy looping!
@@premanandgiri4140 awesome, enjoy
This pedal has become an integral part of my TECHNO setup. It's perfect for adding low-end and grit to my 303-style bass synth (Behringer TD-3). It's a little too much for the drum machine though. Still haven't tried it on guitar or bass yet.
The consensus among doom metal and stoner rock guitarists is that tube screamer goes first to impart its characteristics on the fuzz rather than making it sound weak and anemic. There are technical reasons for that order involving the strengths and weaknesses of each. Also, it's typically only done with Muff-style fuzzes to frontload the Muff with a midrange-heavy signal so the resulting tone is less scooped.
😂 a consensus was made at the doom and stoner rock convention a few years ago.
Exelente
@@sebastianguajardo9603 thank you
Maybe you said it, but is the first bank of presets I believe silver in color, a new bank of presets or does it replace the original factory presets? If I want to keep factory presets, should I place my newly created presets into the second or third bank? Thanks.
@@DLawrenceMarketing it’s been a minute since the other banks where empty, I THINK you are correct, the first bank is factory, which you can change, and the rest are whatever you want
@@LearningCurveGuitar Thanks for your answer. I watched some other demos and they agree silver are factory which can be over written or leave them and record newly created into the other banks
