- This was probably the biggest convention I attended back in the 90's. Back when there were organised Star Trek conventions twice a year.
Pontins Middleton Towers is no longer standing and in it's place are houses. Many attendees called it Rura Pontins after the Cardassian Penal systems. Let's have a look at the old place and meet friends old and lost.
This was also one of my early stints on camera during the event. We couldn't unfortunately record the main two guests on stage during their talks... and we were the tech team. Sheesh!

This was the first con I attended. Was good to meet Marina Sirtis and Alexander Siddig although back then he was still going by the name Siddig el faddill. WAs a brilliant time
It certainly was. I worked on one of the cameras in the main hall.
Great memories of pontins. Went here in 1987 and 1988. When I think back there wasn't that much to do really . but we enjoyed ourselves. The food was amazing and I was amazed there was little cartons of jam.haha
Went here every year as a kid and loved it. Also became a massive Trekkie few years after this convention. Kind of weird to think the two things were connected.

Had a holiday there in 1975
OMG... This was my second ever Con, and it was frakkin' awesome! I was there with my sister and my friend, the only three dressed in a classic Trek red dress. Marina called us 'The Three Degrees'.
This must've been one of the last events there as it closed in 1993!
